    Alabama - 44
    LSU - 27

Alabama's defense gets eating alive but the Crimson Tide are still able to leave Baton Rogue with a victory. LSU was able to put up 513 total yards; 450 of those came through the air. My defense is just not that good. Fortunately with the victory, Alabama should be able to get a rematch with Georgia in the SEC championship game.

    Key Offensive Stats:
    A.J. McCarron 15-24 233 yards 2 TDs
Trent Richardson 19-114 yards 2 TDs
Matt Miles 6-92 yards 1 TD
    Damon McKenzie 6-111 1 TD
Cade Foster 3-3 FG 63 yard FG (not sure if that is a record but it is the longest FG I have ever kicked or attempted)

    Key Defensive Stats:
Tana Patrick 6 Tackles and 1 DEFL
Cedric McCoy 3 Tackles (1 TFL) and 1 Sack
Kerry Murphy 2 Tackles (1 TFL) and 1 Sack

The Crimson Tide will next host Auburn in the Iron Bowl for state bragging rights.

The Badgers gave Nittany Lions a scare but a big fourth quarter helped Penn State secure the win. The offense struggled for Penn State and missed out on some opportunities. Three times the team turned it over inside field goal range. The first was a fumble by HB Kyle Goss, second was a failed 4th and inches and the third was a Kevin Newsome interception. The turnovers had Penn State down 14-3 going into half but a late TD pass made in 14-10 just before halftime. No one did any scoring in the third quarter but Penn State finally took the lead early in the 4th quarter. Newsome passed for his second TD of the game and gave his team a 17-14 lead. Penn State would add 10 more points thanks to a field goal and late rushing TD. Next up for Penn State is another conference showdown. The Nittany Lions finish out their Big 10 schedule with home games against rivals Minnesota and Michigan State. Wins in those games would lock Penn State in for a tie for Big 10 title.

Offensive Player of the Game: Kevin Newsome 21-36 268 2 TD/1 INT

Defensive Player of the Game: Khairi Fortt 9 tackles 2 sacks

    First Quarter
01:59 FG Penn State Jeremy Harrell K #5 47 yard field goal

    Second Quarter
04:57 TD Wisconsin John Meyer WR #84 37 yard pass from Curt Phillips QB #10
01:21 TD Wisconsin Montee Ball HB #28 17 yard rush
00:12 TD Penn State Keith Crowell WR #87 7 yard pass from Kevin Newsome QB #12

    Forth Quarter
06:26 TD Penn State Shawney Kersey WR #81 4 yard pass from Kevin Newsome QB #12
03:33 FG Penn State Jeremy Harrell K #5 31 yard field goal
00:11TD Penn State Kyle Goss HB #31 2 yard rush

Florida State hosted Clemson with 5 of our top recruits visits the campus. FSU did not dissapoint as we shut out Clemson and walked away with an easy victory. For the 3rd straight game our defense held the opposing offense below 200 yards of total offense. The starters put us up big and that allowed the 2nd string offense and defense to get some playing time midway through the 3rd quarter. This ends our regular season ACC schedule. We will face probably either Virginia or hated Miami in the ACC championship game. We have our first bye of the season before ending the regular season with a trip to Florida. We owe Florida after they narrowly beat us on our home turf last season.

    Key Stats:
    QB EJ Manuel 11/16 213 yards 3TD 0INT
HB Brendan Marks 175 total yards 2TD
TE Alex Wilson 3 receptions 46 yards 1TD
    CB LeMarcus Joyner 2 Tackles 2DEFL 1FR
    CB Mike Harris 5tackles 1DEFL 1FF

"USC headed north to face the Huskers in snowy Washington, an unfamiliar weather to the Trojans. The Trojans completely dominated despite the snow and could not be stopped on the ground. HB Baxter was well on his way to a huge day before breaking his thumb and going down for 4 weeks. He was having a record breaking season only to be cut short by an injury late, go figure. He will be pressed to make it back for the UCLA game which could hurt the Trojans. Despite the bad news HB Vickers had a historic comeout party 194 yards and 5 TDs in only 2 quarters before being benched. Barkley through for 112 yards and a TD as well before being sent to the bench at halftime. The defense was stout all day and forced 4 turnovers. USC heads back home to sunny LA next week to host the Beavers."

HB Vickers 194 YDS, 5 TDs
    HB Baxter 66 YDS, TD
HB McNeal 82 YDS, 2 TDs
    QB Scroggins 51 YDS

Vickers should be playing ball in Happy Valley. Penn State is still pressuring the NCAA to investigate that signing and recruiting visit.

Ha! I am glad we have Vickers now after losing Baxter. I hope Baxter does not try to leave next season, I am not fully confident in Vickers yet. QB will be the bigger issue for me next season, I don't really have that pocket passer that I want on my roster. Looks like we will be migrating more towards an offense next year that will utilize a dual threat QB.

The Bulldogs take Ole Miss to the woodshed in front of 95,000 screaming fans in Sanford Stadium. The defense set the tone early, sacking Ole Miss' QB on the first three plays from scrimmage. On offense, HB Washaun Ealey continued to tear through the SEC, running for 239 yards on 11 carries including a 75 yard TD and a 91 yard TD. Fr QB Zach Brown was solid, throwing for 158 yards and 3 TDs with no turnovers.

The Michigan Wolverines win their fourth straight game by beating Illinois 21 - 7 thanks to a hard hitting and opportunistic defense. Thomas Gordon capped the defensive effort with a 74 yard interception return. Gordon was crowned game MVP as he led the team with 8 total tackles including two for a loss. Sophomore Ken Wilkins had two sacks to go along with 3 tackles for loss by William Campbell. Wolverines return home next week to take on the Northwestern Wildcats.
