USC is back in the national title picture ranking #4 in the first BCS standings.

Tough schedule the rest of the way with Stanford, Utah, ND and potentially Oregon in the Pac-12 championship.

That was pretty cool that you and I went back and forth on Anderson. I figured you would come out with him since he was from WA. I will now have to heavily recruit CB next season.

The Ducks make Arizona State look bad in Tempe

Oregon again had success with a pass first offense in this PAC 12 battle against Arizona State. Darron Thomas led the air attack by completing 21 passes two weeks in a row. He also threw 3 TDs again. It looks as if the he is now starting to get acclimated with throwing the ball against the zone defense. Kenjon Barner was able to reach the 100 yard mark and 1 TD. Freshman Nick James has now had 100 yards receiving two games in a row. He finished with 102 yards on 7 catches and 2 TDs. The Duck defense had a dominating day also. They gave up only one score on the day but sacked the QB 7 times and intercepted 1 pass.

Oregon looks to stay undefeated next week when they host Colorade.

    Key Stats:

    Darron Thomas - 21 - 31 253 yards 3 TDs
    Kenjon Barner - 11 carries 102 yards 1 TD
    Nick James - 7 catches 102 yards 2 TDs
    Bryce Glover - 5 tackles 5 TFLs 3 sacks 1 FF

    LSU - 49
    MSU - 7

This game started out well for the Tigers, as they returned the opening kickoff for a TD. Then, they forced a stop and scored on an 80 yard TD run on the first play. On the following Bulldogs drive, Smith forced a fumble that was taken back for a TD. That's right, LSU had a 21-0 lead with only one offensive play. From that point on, the Tigers continued to dominate. Mettenberger had a solid day. Both Ford and Blue were able to pass 100 yards each on the ground. The ball was spread around fairly well, with Boone getting the most receiving yards, mostly from a 56 yard TD pass where he got behind the defense. Defensively, Minter, Simon, and Johnson played very, very well. Mississippi State was only able to score on a long run with very little time on the clock.

Despite the loss, the Tigers are not out of the BCS race. Next week they play #1 Auburn, a game which ought to jolt them up in the polls assuming they win. A win against Auburn is essential, as a loss would put the them out of the SEC race.

Yeah, I really liked that. I'm surprised he wasn't more taken by his visit to Eugene.

    #21 Iowa 35
    Illinois 6

Iowa one this game convincingly even though it was close at halftime with Iowa up 14-6. The Hawkeyes would score 21 points in the second half and not give up any to the Illini. HB Marcus Coker was POTG with 116 rushing yards and 2 TDs, while freshmen WR E.J. Turner had 3 receptions for 74 yards and 2 TDs to lead the receivers.

    Purdue 10

This was a sloppy game for both teams. The Silver Bullets held Purdue to 28 rushing yards and 2-12 on 3rd down. The computer aided turnover and WR drop parade continued in this game for the Bucks. Jaamal Berry went for 148 yards and 3 TD.

The defense was dominant and forced 2 turnovers on the day. Michigan heads back to the Big House next week to take on the Fighting Illini.
