Cavaliers Cap Off 11 Win Season With a Dominant Performance.
The defense only allowed 31 yards on the ground and had 4 INT's. 1 pick 6 from true freshman Tez Dickens who got to see the field early in the second half after a huge lead halfway through the 3rd. 3rd string QB Freshman(RS) David Watford played a good bit in the second half to see what he might have going into the QB competition for next year. He only made one mistake with a fumble on scramble outside the pocket. Other than that he went 4 for 4 in the air for 73 yards and added two rushing TD's. This great finish should give us some momentum going forward into next season.

Last Second FG Lifts Nittany Lions Past Gators
    #21 Florida ( CPU )- 24
    vs
    #14 Penn St ( @dj illmatic )- 27
The Penn St Nittany Lions finished off a tumotulous season that saw them change coaches mid-season by defeating the Florida Gators 27-24. PSU took the opening kick-off and marched down the field, but turned the ball over deep in Florida territory. Nittany Lions QB Paul Jones bounced back on the ensuing drive and connected with FB Brian Fields for a 28 yard TD pass. The Gators answered right back when QB Jacoby Brissett hit WR Andre Debose for a 30 yard TD. Florida forced a three and out by the Nittany Lions and quickly moved down the field on their next offensvie possesion. Inside the PSU five yard line and looking to take control of the game, Nittany Lions FS Adrian Amos made the play of the day. Amos under cut a pass intended for the Gators TE and took the ball 96 yards to the house on the last play of the first quarter. The second quarter saw both teams struggle to move the ball until Penn St tacked on a 36 yard FG right before the half to take a 17-7 lead into the break.
The Gators came out of the break looking like a new team and jumped all over the Aggies early in the third. Brissett hit Debose for their second TD connection of the day. PSU QB Paul Jones threw his second pick of the day on the next possesion. This set up Florida HB Chris Johnson for a 30 yard TD run to take a 21-17 lead. Penn St looked to be in serious trouble. Their offense had done nothing for almost two quarters, and Florida was scoring at will. The Nittany Lions made sure Florida's lead and momentum were short lived. On the first play from scrimmage, Jones hit WR WR Shawney Kersey for an 80 yard TD to re-take the lead. Florida would begin the fourth quarter by tying the game up with a FG. Both teams would have opprotunities to take the lead in the fourth, but were unable to move the ball. Finally with two minutes left to go, Penn St put together a drive that set up the game winning 40 yard FG with two seconds to go. With the win, PSU finishes the season 10-3, and looking to a full season under new coach DJ Illmatic next year.

    #12 Northwestern Wildcats - 23
    #4 LSU Tigers - 10

The Northwestern Wildcats capped a great season by being showered in rose pedals after a hard fought victory over the most talented team they faced all year, the LSU Tigers. QB Kain Colter, who will go down as one of the best in NW's history, threw the only 2 TDs of the game, and the defense was stout yet again, holding the Tigers to a FG and a long TD on a flea flicker gimmick play.

The Wildcats made a coaching change mid-season, bringing in Coach Salvia when they were 3-2 on the season. 2 straight losses under his regime probably did not have the people on campus thinking this was possible. But he finally got a grip on the team, and proceeded to run off 5 straight victories to close out the regular season, and then beat rival Illinois in the Big 10 title game before winning the Rose Bowl and being carried off the field on the shoulders of his players.

Coach Salvia believes this will be the start of a special run at NW. While he losing some starters, including Colter, most of his stars are juniors who he hopes will either return, or he can talk into returning, to build on this season.

    Colorado 21
    #25 Miami 20

The Buffaloes close out the season with a tight game but a win, in the Sun Bowl against the Hurricanes, and WR Paul Richardson closes out his career with a dominant performance. QB Nick Hirschman turned the ball over twice today, once via interception and once via fumble, both on plays where the wide receivers fell down running their routes. Other than that he played a great game, connecting with Richardson 10 times, with three of those being all the TDs scored by CU today. The Colorado defense gave up another 171 rushing yards and 2 TDs to the back up Miami running back, who broke tackles all day long.

    QB Nick Hirschman 14/22 345 YDS 3 TD 1 INT 1 FUM
WR Paul Richardson 10 REC 288 YDS 3 TD

    QB S. Morris 18/32 165 YDS 1 INT
    HB D. Crawford 23 CAR 171 YDS 2 TD

    North Carolina 38
    Pitt 21

North Carolina ends a disapointing season with a strong win over Pittsburgh. As of late the offense really had been clicking, and this game was no exception. QB Marquise Williams looks poised to continue running the Air Raid offense as he was 22-29 for 364 yards and 5 TD. His favorite target was Reggie Wilkins as he set the school records for receiving yards and TD in a season with his 6 catch, 155 yard, 3 TD performance. Freshman Zach Merrick also had 4 catches for 119 yards and 2 TD. With the win, North Carolina ends the year on a 4 game winning streak and will look to improve the offense next year.

We had a great game going I was actually hanging in there. I was up 17-14 at halftime receiving the ball and we got D/C. I have no interest in replaying a half. Maybe if it wasnt monday I would play the next day but whatever. This kind of thing just ruins the moment. Wick will pry win the sim for sure, but it was a good season regardless. I will asterisk whoever the title winner is. NCAA disconnect BULLSHIT
