    Virginia Tech defeats Georgia 24-17.

The QB play from both sides was outstanding, and both teams did decent on the ground.

The Hokies were just able to muster one more stop than the Bulldogs to prevent the fans from chanting "SEC" during the post game.

Penn State won another Big Ten match, keeping Nittany Lions in contention for at least a share of the Big 10 title. The win over Wisconsin looks lopsided on the scoreboard, but it was a close game till the third quarter. Penn State possessed a 17-10 lead going into the half but an interception by Rob Bolden allowed Wisconsin to tie the game at 17. The Nittany Lions' coach had seen enough and inserted Paul Jones at QB. This was the correct decision and Jones sparked the offense. Penn State got the lead back with a long field goal, the second 50+ yard field goal of the game by kicker Jeremy Harrell. Penn State would extend the lead when Jones broke free on an option keeper. The next two drives for Penn State ended with touchdowns by Shawney Kersey. The first TD was a short pass that Kersey turned into a long gain and the second was a WR option run. Wisconsin would continue to struggle and PSU CB Stephen Ayapong made sure the Badgers would remain behind. Ayapong grabbed his second interception of this game and he returned this one for a TD. Curtis Dukes would score a final TD for Penn State and the Nittany Lions wound up scoring the last 38 points of this game, all within a 10 minute period.

Dukes had another big game, rushing 13 times for 140 yards and 3 TD. His TD runs included runs of 73 and 46 yards. Jones finished 4-7 passing with 95 yards and the 1 TD. He also finished with 44 yards rushing, including his TD run. Jones is lthe starter for Penn State's final conference match against Michigan State. The Big 10 currently features a 3-way tie at the top with PSU, Ohio State and Iowa all with just 1 conference loss. The Nittany Lions need Iowa or Ohio State to drop a game for the team to get a Rose Bowl berth. Penn State beat Ohio State but with the 3-way tie the winner will be determined by the BCS standings. Currently OSU is ranked 5 while PSU is #11. Iowa has conference games remaining against Wisconsin and Minnesota. Ohio State's toughest game will likely be week 13 against Michigan but they also must beat Illinois and Northwestern.

Interesting stat of the game: 8 of 9 scores for Penn State occurred outside the red zone

    FSU 28
    Clemson 14

It was rivalry week with FSU traveling to Clemson. It was a tight game for most of the first half. QB Scott Jones was rattled by the Clemson fanbase and it resulted in a pair of first half INT's. Neither team was able to get on the board in the first quarter. FSU would strike first early in the 2nd quarter when HB Kevin Lester took a handoff 12 yards up the middle for the TD. Later in the quarter Clemson would tie it up when Tajh Boyd found TE Quincy Greco for an 8 yard TD pass. 7-7 at the half.

FSU rebounded in the 2nd half. We would score the games next 21 points, all on the ground. Scott Jones, Kevin Lester, and Brennan Marks would each add rushing TD's in the 2nd half. Clemson would add a late TD but it was too little too late. This secures FSU's 4th straight ACC championship game. This time we will face Killernuts and his VT Hokies. For now we have a bye week before facing Iowa.

    Key Stats:
QB Scott Jones 13/22 221 yards 2INT, Rushing TD
HB Kevin Lester 164 rushing yards 2TD
HB Brennan Marks 53 yards 1TD
WR Victor Simpson 4 receptions 90 yards
    DE Chris Bush 2 sacks
    DT Nick Randle 1 Sack
LB Christian Jones 1 sack 1 FF

    #3 USC 56
    Arizona St 35

USC faced their toughest challenge in awhile facing off against the powerful sun devil offense. The game was basically a shootout through until USC finally pulled away in the 4th QTR thanks to the strong play of HB Baxter and big turnovers on defense. Freshman SS also had a huge pick 6 earlier in the game. Baxter had another 100 yard day and added 3 TDs, all in the 2nd half. QB Stanley had another efficient day with a rating over 200. USC continues to try and break into the top 2 as they head to Oregon St next week.
