    #2 Oregon - 38
    Cal - 17

The Duck defense looked horrible in this game. They were burned on too many long plays. Cal also scored on a fumble recovery for a TD. The game was closer than the score indicates. Oregon scored twice late in the 4th quarter to hold on and stay undefeated.

    LSU - 58
    TT - 17

The LSU defense gave up a couple of big plays due to Torres' speed and the aggressive style played by the Tigers. Mettenberger had a solid game, throwing for 4 TDs and over 200 yards. The ground game had a bit of trouble, but were able to pick up a decent amount of yards as a collective. Blue left the game early with a concussion. Jarvis Landry had a big game with 3 TDs and almost 150 yards. Minter and Johnson both had multiple sacks defensively. LSU forced 4 interceptions, one of which was by Minter. Gore had a PR for a TD.

Iowa broke this close game open in the second quarter when the defense forced and recovered a fumble. That led the the first TD of the game by either team, a 34 yard run by HB DeAndre Johnson, who also missed the entire second half with bruised ribs. Backup Bo Keller stepped in and had TD runs of 80 and 65 yards on his way to 239 rushing yards. WR E.J. Turner also caught an 82 yard TD pass late in the second quarter on a play-action play that was setup by Johnson's running.
