I'm hoping to have that kind of week. I only have 10 scholarships available but I have like 15 players in for visits against my rival Minnesota. Pretty sure I won't go over but I should be 1/2 way done after week 6.

    Oregon- 51
    Standford- 37

The Ducks outlasted the Cardinals in this shootout. Oregon totaled 612yds to Standford's 568. Neither teams defenses decided to make the trip. Oregon looked to air it out this game as QB Bennet throws for a school record 525yds with 5 TD tosses. Bennet was able to spread the ball as 6 different recievers caught at least 2 passes.

The Hokies are able to pull out a win, despite an injury and not playing well. Star QB Weber was injured in the first quarter. Senior QB Thomas came in and didn't throw the ball all that well. The run game, as always was awful. There were also a lot of drops by the Hokie receiving corp.

The defense played a decent game, with Freshman CB Tristan Terry snagging two interceptions.

    Miami 63

    Duke 35

An ugly ugly start to this game as Duke jumped out to a 21-0 lead over Miami. After the first quarter the 'Canes outscored the Blue Devils 63-14. Our defense was amazing and Jamar Young looked excellent in route to a 6 TD, 400 yard passing game. Freshmen receiver Weber was the ONLY guy who could seem to get open and actually hang onto the ball. Tremblay and Bass both missed key receptions but still each had a TD catch, one of Tremblay's didn't look like a TD but they gave it to him. Young threw TD passes to 5 different guys today. A little bit of bad news as starting HB Storm Johnson gets knocked out for 2 weeks, this hurts because we have FSU coming up. Thankfully backup HB Lamar Miller is as good as Johnson, Miller returned the opening kickoff in the second half for a TD, so look for him to show some lightning the next couple of weeks. Another player who is having a breakout season is LE Donald Fuller, this kid is a sack machine (I believe this game gave him 6, possibly 9 if the online stats didn't update, on the season) and is always getting pressure on the QB. I like that my defense is managing to create multiple turnovers this season, hopefully it can carry into user games.

Miami improves to 4-2 (2-0). Next week is the game that always defines Miami's season...Florida State.

    Stats

    J. Young 24/37, 400 yards, 6 TD

    S. Johnson 23 Att, 98 yards, 2 TD

    B. Weber 9 Rec, 153 yards, 2 TD

    D. Fuller 8 Tackles, 3 Sacks

    A. Samuel 5 Tackles, 2 TFL, FR

Defense overall had: 2 FF, FR, 2 INT, 3 Sacks

    #1 Alabama 38
    #16 Georgia 24

Alabama defeats Georgia for the 4th time in the past 3 seasons. The game got off to a fast start, with both teams scoring on their first possession. Alabama was able to keep their offense going on the second drive, taking a 14-7 lead. The game's biggest play occurred on on Georgia's second drive. Georgia moved the ball to midfield and elected to run an iso play on a 1st and 10. HB Ken Malcome looked poised to have a 5 yard gain, but dropped the ball and Alabama recovered. Bama would use the short field to take a 21-7 lead and change the dynamic of the game. From there, Georgia would fail to play catch up against a tough Bama team. Alabama's offensive line and HBs were stellar, going for 172 yards and 2 TD. Good game cnic.

Penn State hosted rival Minnesota with most of the Nittany Lion's recruiting board in for the visit. The game started slow for both squads but the fireworks kicked off in the second quarter. Penn State struck first when Robert Bolden found HB Curtis Dukes for the short TD pass. Minnesota answered back with a 54 yard rushing score. Lance Scott tip toed along the sideline but stayed in bounds to score. Penn State would get the next 2 scores, passing and rushing touchdowns from Bolden. The pass went to FB Zach Zwinak who Minnesota simply forgot to cover out of the backfield. The teams would trade field goals to wrap up the half and Penn State had a 24-10. The Nittany Lions rushing attack would take care of business in the second half. Dukes, Bolden and Kyle Goss each scored touchdowns. Minnesota did get a passing touchdown late in the third but the lead never dipped below 14 for Penn State in the second half. The Nittany Lions host another rival in week 7 and the game should be much more challenging.Ohio State comes to town with an undefeated record and the #2 ranking in both polls.
