    #10 Oregon 3
    Arizona St 20

The Sun Devils pick up a huge win at home against another ranked opponent. A week after giving up 400+ passing yards to Washington St, ASU gave up only 83 total yards to Oregon. Oregon's QB Brian Bennett seemed on a mission to singlehandedly lose the game. Instead of throwing the ball, he continually ran around behind the line of scrimmage and was smashed.

    21-10 Cavaliers
Virginia scores 14 in the last 3:26 to extend pull out late victory.
This game was a tough one to watch for both offensive coordinators. Despite moving the ball well both teams failed to capitalize in the red zone and other drives stalling around midfield. Northwestern did a great job limiting Virginia possessions by having nearly 7 more minutes in time of possession than Virginia. The Cavalier offense finally began to get in rhythm in the 4th when Phillips Sims lead a great drive capped off by a 34 yard TD from HB Kevin Parks.. Northwestern had a chance to answer back only down by 4 but a costly fumble on a first down reception gave the Cavaliers the ball with the lead. With all the momentum, we punched in one more TD and were able to escape with our 7th win of the season.. Great game NYJuggalo45 I really enjoyed it..
Next week we are back on the road to face the Wolf Pack of NC State.

Great game man and nice write up. This game was a tight battle where every first down felt like a victory. Turnovers killed us, and your red zone defense in the first half was key. Congrats on the win. We can run it back next year if your up for it/scheduling works out

This rivalry matchup featured 3 different passers for the Spartans, as FR QB Callahan looked great completing 10 of 11 passes for 151 yards but was injured with a concussion early in the game. Freshman QB D. Newberry stepped in before half time to complete a 62 yard hail mary for his only completion of the day. At halftime, Michigan St led 31-10. However, Braxton Miller and the Buckeyes proved their running game was unstoppable and stormed back late in the 4th quarter to trim the deficit down 34-31. A late touchdown pass by SR QB Aaron Maxwell sealed the game.

Penn St. Can't Overcome the Distraction of a Mid-Season Coaching Change as They Lose To Illinois
    #22 Penn St. ( dj illmatic 23 )- 35
    #20 Illinois ( CPU )- 38
The tenure of new Penn St. Nittany Lions' Head Coach DJ Illmatic got off to a rocky start as turnovers and poor defense caused them to lose to the Illinois Fighting Illini 38-35. The Illini started things off first when QB Nathan Scheelhaase hit WR Darius Millines for an 18 yard TD. The Nittany Lions answered right back when WR Eugene Lewis took the ensuing kickoff back 100 yards for a TD. The Penn St. defense stepped up on the next possession when FS Adrian Amos returned an interception 46 yards for a TD. Both team put together long drives that stalled, forcing each of them to settle for FG's. The Illini would tie the game up with 31 seconds left in the half when Scheelhaase hit TE Evan Wilson for a 4 yard TD.

Illinois jumped out quickly in the second half and took control of the game with two quick TD's. The first came on an interception return by CB Nick Forzley for a 46 yard TD. After another Penn St turnover, Scheelhaase hit WR Spencer Harris for a 55 yard TD pass. This gave the Illini a 31-17 lead. The Nittany Lions fought their way back into the game, first with a FG and then with a 1 yard TD run by FB Brian Fields. This pulled Penn St. within four, but their inability to get stops on defense continued to cost them. Illinois HB Donovonn Young broke several tackles on his way to a 33 yard TD run. PSU drove down the field, but another inteception left them empty handed. The Nittany Lions tried one more attempt to get back in the game when WR Eugene Lewis returned his second kick of the day, this one a 52 yard punt return for a TD. PSU forced the Illini into a third and long with a little over a minute to go, but once again the defense could not get a stop. The loss drops Penn St to 7-2 and 5-2 in the Big 10. They host #12 Wisconsin next week as coach Illmatic looks for his first victory.

    Illinois QB Nathan Scheelhaase
    9-13/ 169 yards/ 3 TD's/ 1 interception

    Final OT

    Maryland 30
    Clemson 27

This was a tough game at home for Maryland hosting the A+ Clemson Tigers. QB Boyd was freaking unstoppable throwing lasers all over and rushing 50 times when nobody was open. Thanks to some huge offensive plays and a grind on the run game, Maryland was able to stay in the game despite losing both WR Diggs and HB Pickett for most of the game. The game would go to OT thanks to a FG by Maryland. In the first possession for Clemson they went 3 and out and kicked the FG. Maryland would then pound the rock all the way in for the score sealing the W. We are now 6-2 and look to stay undefeated in the ACC with a matchup vs Wake Forest next week.

    Washington - 27
    North Carolina - 14

The game started well for UNC. They killed a promising Washington drive by forcing a fumble and then went out to score themselves to take a 7-0 lead. Washington would rally back on their next drive. The Huskies would score 2 more times in the first half and were the first to score in the third to extend the lead to 17 points. The next time Washington had the ball, however, they fumbled again and that was returned for a TD. The final score would come via a Washington FG with over 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

    Key Players

Keith Price- After being benched for awhile last game, Price responded with a very good performance completing 19/24 throws for 303 yards and 2 TDs.
Austin Sefarian-Jenkins- Did a great job of getting open down the field and near the sidelines. He had 5 catches for 126 yards and 2 TDs.
Josh Shirley- He was an absolute animal, recording 5 sacks, 7 tackles, and several hurries. He was really doing work to disrupt the very concise UNC passing game.
