    Stanford 38
    Arizona St 31 OT

These settings are garbage. My defensive line crossed the line of scrimmage twice on about 50 Stanford plays. The Sun Devils had a 7 point lead with 45 seconds left. Stanford was able to gain 1st downs and run out of bounds on 2 consecutive 4th down plays where the RB was hit by multiple defenders in the backfield. However, they were still stalled at the ASU 35 yard line with 1 second left to play. Then, the QB heaved a ball up in the air after having 7 seconds to throw. The ball hit off 2 ASU defenders directly into the hands of a Stanford WR who dove 10 yards to catch the ball, magically morphing through defenders. In OT, Stanford's RB was unstoppable, as he broke multiple tackles on every play. ASU had a productive drive going to try to answer the Stanford TD, until they made it to the 7 yard line and lost yards on consecutive short yardage situations. Instead of blocking the inside linebackers, the guards ran past them and then ran backwards to stand in any hole that may have been available. Tag me when I have a human game, I probably won't be playing many computer games this season.

    #16 Virginia 7
    Colorado 30

Colorado started the season off with a big win over #16 Virginia this week, making up for the game they lost to them last year. The key to this game was turnovers as Virginia committed 4 of them and the Buffaloes didn't commit any. Colorado was able to pick up 15 first downs this game and possessed the ball for 19:06 really controlling the clock. FR QB Justin Jackson had a decent first start completing 65% of his passes and throwing a TD pass. SR HB Tony Jones was a force all game shedding tackles and looking quick, carrying the ball 23 times for 146 yards with a TD of his own before spraining his elbow in the fourth quarter. Of course he will miss next week (motherfucker).

Colorado's defense really won this game for us, generating turnovers for once, and the offense was solid most of the day putting points on the board. I should mention that SR K Will Oliver was also 3/3 on FGs for the day, including a 58 yard bomb that seemed to clear easily.

    North Carolina 24
    Cal 14

North Carolina starts off the year with a solid win over Cal. Both offense and defense played really well leading to this win. Marquise Williams continued where he left off last season, going 19-29 for 252 yards and two TD. The suprise on offense was the running game, they did in one game what they couldn't do 13; gain 100 yards rushing. Romar Morris rushed for 105 yards on 15 carries. TJ Thorp had 5 receptions for 88 yards and a TD while Freshman Joe Thomas had 5 receptions as well for 69 yards.

Defense was very bend, don't break and came up huge when needed, forcing two interceptions including an 82 yd Pick 6 from defensive end JJ Newman to seal the game.

Penn St Survives a Scare vs Arizona
    Arizona ( CPU )- 9
    #14 Penn St ( dj illmatic 23 )- 13
The Penn St Nittany Lions got off to a sluggish start offensively to start the 2014 season, but came away with a 13-9 victory thanks to their defense. Neither team managed to crack 300 yards of total offense as defense carried the day. PSU took the opening kick off and drove down the field, but the drive stalled forcing the Nittany Lions to settle for a 23 yard FG. Arizona would answer back with a 40 yard FG of their own to tie the game. Neither team could move the ball for most of the second quarter. The Wildcats finally moved the ball and tacked on a FG with a little over a minute to go in the half. The Nittany Lions would answer back with the play of the game and the only offensive TD on the day. QB Paul Jones hit WR Alex Kenny for a 52 yard TD to give PSU a 10-6 half time lead.
The second half turned into a battle between the punters as neither team could sustain any offense. Arizona finally moved the ball down the field and pulled to within one with their third FG on the day. Penn St would answer back with a FG of their own to go up by three with a little over two minutes to go. Arizona drove down the field and it looked as if we were going into overtime. However, PSU FS Adrian Amos intercepted an errant pass to seal the victory. The Nittany Lions move to 1-0 this season as they take on Purdue next week in their Big 10 opener.
