"USC destroys ASU, Baxter leads the way"

    USC 56
    ASU 0

This game was a blowout throughout. The Sundevils could not stop Baxter at all who ran for 222 yards and 4 TDs in 3 quarters of action. HB Vickers and ran for 125 YDS and 3 TDs. The USC defense held the opponent to 144 yards of offense in the shutout and forced alot of turnovers. USC keeps on plowing through Pac-10 opponents in a race for their 5th straight title. Next Week USC travels to Georgia for a huge matchup between the hedges.

    Alabama - 61
    Auburn - 12

Joey Taylor and company roll Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Taylor added 3 more TDs on the ground to his team leading total. He went over 100 yards as well. The offense looked good but the defense was the story of the game. Cedric McCoy had a monster game with 9 tackles (6 TFL), 5 sacks, 1 forced fumble and a safety (they credited him for 2 for some reason). The Crimson Tide had 9 total sacks on the day. This game wrapped up the SEC West for Alabama.

    Miami - 45

    #24 West Virginia - 34

Miami wins 2 in a row!! This game was no cake walk as it featured two Spread offenses that duked it out most of the game. Young had the game of his career as he shredded the Mountaineers defense for 588 yards with 5 TD passes. The game was close all the way through the middle of the 4th quarter. Freshman MLB Pierce made the play of the game in my eyes as he batted down a pass that was intended for a wide open Mountaineer, it was 4th down. Following the play we stuck to the ground and Freshman HB Matt Sowell ran in his first collegiate TD, making this an 11 point game and sealing the win for the Canes. Three times we were down by 3 or more points and all 3 times we came back, I'll have to say the defense stepped up when necessary in this game.

Miami gets 2 games closer to .500 as they travel to face the University of Virginia Cavaliers next week.

    Stats

    J. Young - 25/50, 588 yards, 5 TD

    M. Sowell - 2 Att, 11 yards, TD

    B. Weber - 6 Rec, 106 yards, TD

    C. Green - 6 Rec, 112 yards, TD

    D. Bass - 5 Rec, 191 yards, 2 TD

    W. Bolen - 3 Rec, 86 yards, TD

    K. Clemens - 8 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks

    A. Samuel - 9 Tackles

    K. Payne - 9 Tackles, FF

    Michigan. 41
    Indiana. 10

On a snowy day in Bloomington, the Michigan Wolverines score 41 unanswered to defeat the Hoosiers. QB Alan Martin got his first career start with Devin Gardner sidelines with injuries. Martin looked a little sluggish through the first quarter until tossed three touchdown passes and had no turnovers. Once he for rolling so did the Michigan defense with eleven TFLs thwarting any Indiana rushing game and disrupting the Hoosier passing timings. JR CB Ryan Sparks and SR LB Davion Rodgers each recorded INTs to keep momentum firmly in the grasp of the Victors. The is much needed for Michigan as it needs to win out to play for a meaningful bowl game.
