    GMONEY wins in his Debut

#5 Wisconsin rolls 38-14 in Pullman.

This is J Lo, The Big Booty Hoe from the GMONEY TV and Radio network reporting from Martin Stadium, in Pullman Washington as the 5th ranked Wisconsin Badgers defeated the Washington State Cougars by the score of 38-14. My GMONEY gets the win in his debut as head coach of the Badgers. The Badgers never trailed in this one as they raced out to a 14-0 first QTR lead and cruised from there. Melvin Gordon rushed for 136 yards and 2 td's and the defense chipped in as Marcel Christensen picked off a Conner Halliday passed and raced 23 yards to the end zone to lead the Badgers. Wait, there he is. Here comes GMONEY walking up to the podium. he doesn't look too happy at all. Oh no. Let's see what he has to say to the media.

GMONEY: " Sup bitches ( The Media roars ) Well what can I say? I am happy for the W but we have a long way to go to even be thought about being a top 10 team. Today I felt we played well at times. However, in other parts of the game, we played stupid as hell. We have to get better play from our QB Joe Brennan. He made some really stupid bone head throws in this game. One thing you will get to learn about my and my coaching style is that I hate to turn the ball over and he threw 3 dam picks. I will make dam sure that he doesn't throw 3 dam picks in the game again. If he does, he will be replaced. I liked the way Melvin Gordon ran the ball. He ran tough inside and out. The defense played well at times. Then again they had 3 or 4 plays that the safety was out of position and we get burnt bad for it as they had 2 very long TD passes. That's unacceptable in my program. Well we have to get our heads right as we have to travel to Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette Indiana to take on Purdue in our Big 10 opener. That's all I have to say. I take no questions. Thanks for coming out, god bless and good night."

Well there you have it folks. Wrapping things up here in Chilly Pullman Washington as GMONEY was successful in his Wisconsin coaching debut. Our next scheduled telecast for GMONEY TV is Saturday at Purdue against the Purdue Boilermakers. Once again this is J Lo, The Big Booty Hoe signing of and have a good night.

Maryland hosted WVU today in it's home opener for the season. The game was pretty much dominated by the Terp froms the second QTR on putting up 431 total yards on the day. QB Montana started out bad with a pick 6 but was very solid the rest of the day throwing for ever 250 yards and 2 TDs. The Terps got back to a dominate run game this week with HB Pickett rushing for 168 YDS and 3 scores. On defense we caused one turnover on a fumble and sacked the QB 5 times. 3 of those were from SR DT Walker. Maryland is now 2-0 and has a huge matchup next week vs Washington at home.

QB Montana 198 Rating, 13/20 262 YDS, 2 TDs, INT
HB Pickett 28 Carries, 168 YDS, 3 TDs
WR Diggs 4 Rec, 122 YDS, TD

DT Walker 4 Tackles, 3 Sacks

#22 Colorado gets the win on the road today to move to 2-0 on the season. The Buffaloes used a good first half to build up a lead and then were able to do enough in the second half to hold on for the win after Georgia Tech started to play better in the second half.

This is a different Tech team than it was under the old regime. The Yellow Jackets utilized a solid power running game and a short, quick passing game to great effect in moving the ball down the field. There is still a little bit of the option in there but it is a vastly different offense under coach Gyrene76. Tech got on the board first later in the first quarter on a 20 yard TD pass from QB Synjn Days to TE William Hollis to up 7-0 (3:05). Colorado answered back on the next drive, but only with a 47 yard FG (1:10) to cut the lead to 7-3. That is where it stood after one quarter.

Colorado would then rattle off 17 more points in the second quarter, a 64 yard TD (4:35) run by HB Tony Jones, a 33 yard TD (1:41) pass from QB Justin Jackson to TE Wallace Freeman, and a 27 yard FG as the clock expired in the first half. Halftime lead was 20-7 Colorado.

Georgia Tech would answer at the end of the third quarter, a quarter that didn't see a lot going on by either team. Tech had a solid drive near the end of the quarter when Davis connected with WR Jamie Alvarez for a TD (0:51) after Davis shrugged off a sack by a Colorado DT. The Buffaloes would score next but not until midway through the last quarter when they were able to tack on a 42 yard FG (4:01) to push the lead to 23-14. Georgia Tech would not be denied on the next drive either mixing in some no huddle and some good play calling that culminated in a 19 yard TD (2:23) run by HB Tony Zenon that cut the lead to 23-21 Buffaloes.

Colorado was only able to manage one first down on the next drive and Tech used timeouts and got the ball back with some time left to do something about it. The game was ended a couple of plays later when freshmen FS Kyle Bowie made a pick deep down the middle of the field to seal it in the closing seconds.

GG Gyrene76, its tough when you aren't familiar with your team, I expect you will turn this ship around quickly.

POTG HB Tony Jones 10 CAR 136 YDS 1 TD, 3 REC 39 YDS

    #8 USC 23

The Sun Devils defeated their second straight ranked opponent, this time on the road in Los Angeles. Both teams put together long drives and there was only 1 punt in the game. The player of the game was USC's QB Cody Kessler, who was 21-25 for 263 yards and 1 TD in a losing effort. Kessler seemed unstoppable at times, but the offensive coordinator started trying to run the ball up the middle once USC got into the red zone. Sr QB Mike Bercovici was 18-24 for 260 yards 1 passing TD and a TD rushing for the Sun Devils. Bercovici came into 2014 with huge momentum off a 35 TD season last year. RS So HB DJ Foster added 111 yards and 2 TD to the effort.

The Sun Devils have a bye next week.

Washington and Michigan State were neck and neck in the 1st quarter, but the Spartans exploded with 21 points in the 2nd to take a 28-10 lead going into halftime. QB Connor Cook connected with WR Keith Mumphery twice on slant routes for 2 35+ yard touchdowns and WR Lippett caught a 58 yard pass before the half ended. In the 3rd, the Huskies sustained a long drive and ended with a 1 yard TD run by HB Bishop Sankey. This brought the game to a 28-17 lead for the Spartans, and after this Michigan State never looked back. Backup HB Jeremy Langford filled in for the injured Nick Hill very well and ran for 2 TDs in the 4th to seal the game for the Spartans. The Huskies were ranked #2 and shouldn't fall much in the standings after this game. Good game Raidernation

California Can Not Overcome Three Interceptions in Redzone in Tucson

    lasco funble.jpg

Coach Fmode decided that after a wild, wild west shoot out last week against Arkansas that saw the Golden Bears lose on the final play of the game, he would hand the reigns over to speedy QB Derrick Brown. Coach Fmode would regret that decision as Brown was often able to lead the Golden Bear offense into the redzone, but threw three untimely interceptions costing the Bears multiple chances to go up early in this game.

The Wildcat's hurry up offense was too much for the Cal defense as Arizona's SR Alex Cappelinni threw for 327 yards on 30/40 passing. The Cal back seven is horrendous and coach Fmode is now going to make some adjustments in recruiting. Being in his first season on the sidelines he is still trying to learn his team. What became evident in this game was this current crop of defensive backs can not cover anyone man on man.

Arizona kicks field goal with 5 seconds to go to take the win.

This could be a long season for the Golden Bears as they are off to a 0-3 (0-1) start. No game balls.... Arizona's QB would get it if anyone in this game.

    North Carolina 31
    Iowa 27

North Carolina travels up to Big 10 country and comes back to Chapel Hill with a victory. Marquise Williams continues his stellar play with another solid performance going 19-26 for 259 yards and 4 TD. His favorite targets this game each had 6 receptions. Reggie Wilkins had 6 REC for 114 yards and a TD. Freshman Joe Thomas had 6 REC for 95 yards and 2 Td. This game was your typical back-and-forth game until a late fumble led to an Iowa FG to make the game 27-24. Marquise Williams then led Heels down the field like he did two seasons ago and with 1:11 left on the clock he hooked up with Joe Thomas for a 31 yard TD pass. The Carolina D would then play bend, don't break holding on with huge stop on the 4 yd line on 4th down.

Last Second FG Lifts Nittany Lions to Victory
    Penn St ( dj illmatic 23 )- 26
    at
    Virginia ( Will Atkinson )- 24
The Penn St Nittany Lions escaped their visit to Virginia with a victory on a 35 yard FG with no time left on the clock. The Nittany Lions marched down the field on their first possession, but the drive stalled. This forced PSU to settle for a 37 yard FG. Virginia gained some momentum by holding them to a FG, but lost all of it on their next possession when QB Carl Fields threw an interception inside his own territory. This set up a 5 yard TD pass from QB Paul Jones to TE Jesse James to give PSU a 10-0 lead. The Cavailers would answer back with a FG of their own. Penn St would take the ensuing drive and move down the field setting up a 1 yard TD run by HB Bill Belton. This gave PSU a 17-3 halftime lead.
Virginia would open up the second half with a 56 yard TD pass from Fields to WR EJ Scott. The Nittany Lions would continue to have success running the ball and moving the chains, but they were forced to settle for a FG. Virginia opened the fourth quarter with a 1 yard TD run by HB Kevin Parks to pull within 3. Penn St would tack on another FG to go up 6 with a little over a minute to go. Virginia would answer the bell and take their first lead of the game when Fields hit WR Miles Gooch for a 56 yard TD with a minute left to go. This gave the Cavaliers a one point lead. PSU QB Paul Jones led the Nittany Lions down the field and set up the game winning FG as time expired. The win moves PSU to 3-0. They have a bye week as they prepare for their match-up against Maryland in two weeks. The loss drops Virginia to 1-2, as they go into a bye week. They will take on Oklahoma in two weeks.
