Florida had a good performance in all three phases in this game. Things started out slow for the Gators in the first half, but they didn't hold back when it counted. Key contributors in this game were J. Cummings(RB) with 23 carries for 157 yards and 2 TD's, A. Leonard(TE) with 7 receptions for 164 yards and a TD and Red Shirt Freshman D. Johnson(DE) who led the defense with 9 tackles, 7 for a loss and 3.5 sacks.

The Gators begin preparations to hit the road and take on Mississippi State next weekend. They'll need to make sure they don't overlook that game in anticipation of their upcoming game against #3 ranked LSU.

Coach Killer was unable to make this game and it showed in his team's play. Aside from a Hail Mary pass at the end of the first half, the Tigers offense was shut down. Freshman free safety Hodges had his first career pick in this game. The front seven did the bulk of the work. The LSU running backs gained just 37 yards on 16 carries. On the offensive side the Bulldogs used a balance gameplan to attack LSU's talented defense. Mason passed for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns, while HB Malcome rushed for 112 yards. Malcome caught 1 of the 2 TD passes from Mason. WR1 Seay continued his strong season with another score and a team high 84 yards receiving. The win over #3 LSU means the Bulldogs will remain #1 till at least the Alabama game. That showdown and the Florida game are the most difficult opponents on the Bulldog's schedule.
