    #15 Iowa 31
    #5 TCU 3

Iowa shuts down the Horned Frogs in their own building. Iowa QB Adam Reese completed 72% of his passes in leading his team to victory today, he also threw 2 TD passes, and HB Bo Keller rushed for 101 and a TD. The Iowa defense only allowed 3 points as they shut down TCU on third down most of the day.

    #4 Notre Dame 27
    Purdue 7
South Bend, IN -- The Irish dominated for much of the game with the exception of the opening kickoff to win their fifth straight and stay perfect on the season. The Irish got the ball to start the game and Irish kick returner DaVarus Daniels fumbled the ball which led to a short field for the Boilermakers which they were able to capitalize and take a 7-0 early lead. However, that touchdown would prove to be the last as the Irish dominated in all phases of the game.
Leading the way for the Irish was their workhorse HB George Atkinson who went for 146 yards on 26 carries and found the endzone three times on the day. Fellow running back Sophomore Frank Pierre tallied 46 yards on four carries. QB Reggie Williams was 8 for 13 for 140 yards and 1 interception.
The key to this game for the Irish was ground domination. The Irish were able to chew up clock, and wear the Boilermaker defense out by pounding the rock. "Can we be flashy? Sure we can, but we also like to be old school and that's what we did today. We ran the ball down their throats." Coach Kelly stated after the game.
This game sets up a huge game between the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes and the #4 Fighting Irish next week. Both teams will be coming into the game undefeated. This game not only will have Big 10 title implications, but it will also have National Title implications.

Will we be able to get an extension on the advance this weekend? I won't be able to play Notre Dame until Sunday evening, at the earliest.

    Washington 51
    Colorado 0

The Huskies seem to have found their stride shutting out Washington at home. Nick Montana threw for 300 yards and 4 scores, while Deontae Cooper ran for 125 yards and a touchdown. The real story was the Husky defense that held Colorado to 83 yards passing and 0 yards rushing. Derrick Mayfield was unblockable accounting for 4 sacks.
