    #2 USC 38
    Washington St 7

"This one started off slow with the game 0-0 in the 2nd QTR. Baxter finally broke loose on the WSU defense and was over 100 yards early. He finished the blowout with 192 YDs and 1 TD. Vickers came in late for mop up duty and ran for 77 and a TD. QB Stanley had a nice day throwing 3 TDs, one to Senior Prater who had 85 yards receiving as well. USC continues to drudge on through the CPU Pac-10 schedule that gets weaker every season, next week is the C+ Oregon St Beavers."

The Michigan Wolverines fall at home the Spartans in a very uneventful game. Devin Gardner completed 40% of his passes for 252 a TD & a INT. the offensive line inconsistency led to 2 rushing yards once the three sacks of Gardner were added in. Sophmores Jordan Evans and Robert Smit led a solid defensive effort just got worn down as a result to the offensive poor showing. Evans recorded a sack and three TFL to go with his 7 tackles while Smith had 11 tackles, with two for a loss. In the defensive backfield Ryan Sparks had an INT late in the game to give Michigan a shot with the score 13 - 11 but Gardners INT at the goalline ended the comeback effort.

If it hadn't been for the turnovers this one would've come down to the wire. Plus Young overthrew 2 open receivers that would have put me within 4 again. I really need to find a defense soon or hope mine beefs up in progression

    Penn State 45
    Minnesota 21

This game was all about big plays for Penn State, mostly by speedy wide receiver Shawney Kersey. The Nittany Lions scored four touchdowns of 45 yards or more, including three by Kersey. Kersey's first score came on a wildcat option. He caught the option pitch and ran 47 yards for the touchdown. He later scored on pass plays of 60 and 58 yards. In between those touchdowns tight end Kevin Haplea rumbled for a 78 yard touchdown. Rob Bolden gets credit for the touchdown passes but he got a lot of help from his receivers. Bolden finished with 265 yards passing but he completed just 8 of 14 pass attempts. He also threw an interception. On defense Penn State struggled to stop Minnesota and quarterback Tom Parish passed for 315 yards. He also threw touchdown passes on all three of Minnesota's scoring drives. Running back Lance Scott also had a decent game, rushing for 95 yards. The big play by the defense came in the second quarter. Derrick Thomas jumped a screen pass by Parish and ran it back for a 60-yard touchdown.
