I can play pretty much anytime this weekend. I have a user game in a couple hours in T3 and I might be going out to dinner with friends tonight. Aside from that I don't have any set plans at this time.

    Penn State 31
    Michigan 13

The Nittany Lions got some revenge on the Wolverines and Penn State moves its record to 7-0. On offense Penn State got some big plays by the wide receivers to get on the board early. The first score came on a 59-yard TD pass from Robert Bolden to Silas Redd. Redd did the majority of the work, spinning away from a defender and running past the safeties. Bolden made another big play on the next drive, hooking up with Keith Crowell for a 31-yard score. A field goal put Penn State up 17-0 but Michigan got on the board before halftime to cut the lead to 17-7. Penn State had a shot to get more points before halftime, but time ran out before they could get the timeout. Penn State would seal the win with a couple more touchdowns after half. The game clincher came in the fourth quarter when Derrick Thomas picked off a Devin Gardener pass on the 1-yard line. Thomas ran the ball all the way back for a touchdown, putting Penn State up by 24. This was the fourth interception thrown by Gardener on the day and the fifth turnover by Michigan. The plus-five turnover differential was the key in this win. By winning this game Penn State has improved its odds of winning the Big 10. The only real hitch on the schedule is a game against undefeated Wisconsin. The winner of that game will be in the driver's seat for the guaranteed BCS bowl berth. Penn State also has an inside track on a BCS Championship spot but Wisconsin and Florida State remain on the schedule.

Offensive Player of the Game: Silas Redd 3 carries 16 yards 1 TD; 3 receptions 106 yards 1 TD

Defensive Player of the Game: Curtis Garrett 3 tackles 2 interceptions

    Miami 52

    #25 Ga Tech 26

The Canes took out some anger on the Yellow Jackets today as Young threw for over 500 yards and 5 TD. Miami's offense still struggles to run the ball as Clements touched the pigskin 19 times for less than 50 yards but he did step up and score in the redzone to put us up by two scores. Weber and Bass both had over 100 receiving yards, Weber with 2 TD catches and Bass with one. The defense was lead by the freshman today as Pierce lead in tackles with 9, 6 for a loss in GT's sorry attempt to run the option. SS Eric Francis had 3 tackles and a forced fumble. Finally back on the winning track as Miami hopes to win out the season. A tough game vs the Tar Heels Week 9, another ranked opponent we hope to bring down.

Georgia's offense dominated this ballgame as So QB Zach brown threw for another 3 TD. The Georgia defense gave up 14 points in the first quarter, but did not allow another TD until the second unit surrendered one late in the 4th quarter.

Next up for Georgia is hated rival Florida in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

    Virginia Tech 48
    Duke 38

The Hokies manage to pull to 3-3 with a win over lowly Duke. QB Weber had an okay day, completing 67% of his passes. On the other hand, his misses were quite bad and he threw two bad picks. This is probably why is no longer the starter and he's only seeing playing to fill in for the injured Hicks. Tech actually went into the half down by 4, but they were able to get it together and win the game. The Hokies are still struggling a bit to run the ball. Cameron's amazing season continued, as he had nearly 200 yards receiving. He had two big plays today. The first of which, came on a third down, where he jumped up and did a 180 in the air to catch the ball. The other was on a third down where Cameron caught a curl, broke the first tackle, then ran up the sideline until he was tackled around the 5 yard line. For some reason, neither of them got saved. :(

Defensively, Virginia Tech put together another poor outing. They got torched through the air, allowing Connette to complete nearly 70% of his passes. Virginia Tech is used to have good defensive teams. This team is not good on defense and it's costing them big time. This is one of the best offensive teams the Hokies have had. With Smiling and possibly Cameron going pro, the offense may not be this good for a while. The defense is still young, so they should perform much better in a year or two.

Next up for the Hokies is Boston College.

Here is a sick catch on a 2 PT conversion that Kyle Prater made in the 1st game. He is 6'5 and literally almost jumped over the CBs head for the one handed snag.
