1) OLB Julian McNamara will come in and red shirt his first year on campus with 4 upperclassmen ahead of him on the depth chart. He will need to add some weight his first year or two if he wants to be a dependable outside backer for us in the future. 2) TE Mike Smith has a chance to come in and see immediate playing time as our number 2 TE. Then should be the full-time starter his Freshman season. Mike is a great addition to this recruiting class and should help build some momentum with recruiting the rest of the season.
Unfortunately that means he will likely add 5 pounds combined in those first two years. Hopefully next release this is finally addressed, I can't buy into the fact that recruits typically put on less than 10 pounds in their entire career. Most at least double that the first year if they are looking to put on weight.
IRL, kids see big weight gains in their first two years.
... still waiting for one of these bozos to commit...
Man... still no one
You might want to take a gander at what tab you put your recruits on. You do have an assigned tab
hmmm, let me check.
wow....I have no idea how I did that.
Nice TE there Will.
Found a heck of a gem. A tackle that was a +12 gem.
What are you doing recruiting Colorado? uncleho can't like to see that.
I know, I plucked a CO guy. I think that's the first I recruited.
Cal signs their first recruit of the year, #5 Guard in the country - Erik Bryant. Erik will start next year as both current guards will be graduating. This was an important signing as well to solidify an offensive line that will have guys leaving at the end of the year.
You should talk! Stay the hell outta my state both of you!
The majority of kickers come from Colorado. I wasn't aware there were any other position players worth a damn there. Guess I'll have to check it out next year.
Signed a 78 OVR TE
Is this true?
High altitude, so their power numbers are skewed.
haha, that would actually make a lot of sense.
But then once scouted = -8
That's why it should be a kickers dream to play for the broncs.
I would like to offer a suggestion to make a sweeping change to the way we post recruits in the tracker. If you look at the Cal tab on this year's recruiting sheet I have made some significant changes that I believe is a more viewable reference sheet. This also allows us to continue the same thread from season to season - adding the next season above the previous and so on as you can see I completed. I saw something very similar in the The Experience league. If it's something everyone is not interested in then that's fine to. I like to be able to source one sheet for ALL recruiting instead of flipping back and forth between forums for the different seasons.
I am interested to get your thoughts. Any suggestions to even improve this better of course welcome. Just looking to add some more "content" to bring everyone together. Got a good group here and I am really enjoying playing with Cal especially now that I have some "studs" on the field.
My addition, or suggestion, would be to add a progression column to track their rating improvement, or growth from season to season. Potentially add S1, S2, S3 columns and show improvement ratings from where they started?
