Holy Crap! I was expecting a big week but that was ridiculous. I may have used all my scholarships. :)

Who is #3 team in the country and do they play a user? I will probably get jumped by Hova if he wins out but just wondering what my chances are of sneaking into title.

I probably will since I got Higgins. Think that other back was added in case I lost that battle. Plus I'm likely out of scholarships.

    Bruins Bounce Back
    45-3

Los Angeles, CA (AP) -- Fresh off their heart-breaking loss @ Georgia, the UCLA Bruins head back west to lick their wounds and face some easier competition in the comfort of their own stadium. Downing showed his youth between the hedges, and the loss of Humphrey ultimately lead to UCLA's demise vs. UGA. Coach Max did a good job of picking up the troops spirits during the week though. He reminded them that 1 loss doesnt mean the season is over, that they're still undefeated in PAC-10 play (winning the conference was UCLA's #1 goal), and a loss to the #1 team in the country by 1 score is a testament to how hard they played.

Keeping those words in mind all week, the Bruins were able to have a good series of practices and came out prepared vs. Arizona. The Wildcats never really had a chance. Downing had the toughest time shaking off last week's loss. He did comple 66% and passing for 250+ and 3TDs, but he started off slow. Coach Max wanted to ease him into the game and get backup RB J. Smith involved. It was, after all, Smith's fumble that ended up being the difference in the game vs Georgia.

Smith ended up with 123yd and 2TD on 16 attempts. He also got the game ball. Coach Max joked about that in a press conference "...yea we covered it with super-glue before we handed it to him".

The Bruins look to be back in form. They have a BYE week before heading north to face the Huskies. Washington is 4-3, but that should still serve as tune-up game before the epic battle with USC.

The TE signed this week will be moving to Fullback. I did not get a fullback since you insta-committed the only one on my board.

    Miami - 63

    La Tech - 35

    Coach Masler hates defense

"I have the most idiotic defense in the nation, apparently even a D fucking plus defense plays better. They got to our QB more, they caused turnovers more while ours let a D fucking minus offense score THIRTY FIVE POINTS!!" after that he chucked his mic at the reporter being a douchebag and left under his own power. Indeed Miami's defense looked stupid today, missing easy tackles and letting the Bulldogs scored way more then the should have. The good note was Miami's offense though, QB Young broke the NCAA Career Passing TD's today while his backup played nicely (although he accounted for 3 turnovers and almost let LTU back in this one.). Brooks went over 200 yards for the first time in his young career, he fumbled and threw a pick on his first two snaps but Masler told the reporters before his outburst that if the kid was going to be a starter next year he had to learn to overcome things like turnovers and explained the second pick was not his fault as the receiver tipped the ball straight to the defender.

Miami is now 7-3(5-2). They finish off the ACC vs Virginia before playing JC and his Hawkeyes.

    Stats

    J. Young - 19/23, 389 yards, 4 TD
    P. Brooks - 16/26, 243 yards, 2 TD, 6 Att, 24 yards, TD

    J. George - 12 Att, 78 yards, 2 TD

    C. Patterson - 8 Rec, 190 yards, TD
    D. Bass - 7 Rec, 143 yards, 3 TD
    B. Weber - 5 Rec, 86 yards, TD
    D. O'Connor - 5 Rec, 87 yards, TD

    W. Copeland - 11 Tackles, 2 TFL, Sack
    A. Dowdell - 3 Sacks
    A. Samuel - 5 Tackles, FF

In a 4 OT thriller in East Lansing, the Michigan Wolverines lose to their in-state rival Michigan State. The game was rather dull through the first few quarters but the excitement was turned up quickly as Michigan took the lead on a 54 yard bomb from Alan Martin to Nick Peoples only to have MSU respond with a 15 yard rushing touchdown to tie the game at 28 - 28 to end regulation. The teams traded big plays in the overtime periods until MSU went 58 - 50 to take the lead on the first possession of the fourth overtime period. When Michigan took the field they were without starting QB Alan Martin who will miss the remainder of the season with a torn shoulder. Backup Isacc Phillips was unable to connect on three consecutive passes in the endzone. Michigan was just starting to put together an offensive rhythm but may take a step backwards as the responsibility for conducting the offense falls on Phillips.

    Auburn 7
    #1 Georgia 37

Georgia created turnovers on Auburn's first 2 possessions and converted them into TDs in front of the faithful in Athens. QB Zach Brown led the offense with 209 passing yards and 4 TD in the first half. WR Matt Tyson was the recipient of 127 yards and 2 TD. The running game plowed ahead for 222 yards on 34 carries.

Kentucky travels to Athens next week in Georgia's final regular season SEC contest.

Florida State traveled to Clemson and easily handled their ACC rival. Jones and Simpson continued with their very productive senior season. Hill and Lester combined for 240+ yards and 4 TD on the ground. On defense George Petty set the tone on the first possession of the game. He opened up with 2 tackles for loss and then a sack on 3rd down to force a 3 and out. After that it was all FSU. This concludes the ACC portion of the schedule and we will face VT once again in the ACC championship game. We end the season with a very tough schedule in which we face the top 3 teams in the Nation. We host #3 Nebraska, travel to #1 Georgia, and finish up with a home game against #2 Alabama. I beleive this is the 4th straight year that FSU and Bama will meet in the regular season. This end will either make or break our season.

This was a weird game as the Huskies did hang around but could not stop turning over the ball, the defense played great getting INTs and causing fumbles all day. The offense struggled a bit but were still able to get the big scores to put this one away. WR Alcarez had a big game is will be a star at USC, he is big, fast, and always seems to be open. USC heads to Arizona next week for a pac-10 matchup.

Kyle Goss had a big game after returning from an injury. He rushed for 170 yards and 3 TD, including an 80 yarder to open the game. Ryan Garrett also had a big game. The defensive back rushed for a score on a reverse, grabbed 2 interceptions and scored a defensive touchdown. I think I have a bye week coming up and after that starting QB Ashton Sykes should be back for games against Michigan State and TCU. The Nittany Lions still are alive for a berth in BCS championship, but should do no worse than a BCS bowl at-large berth.

The Hokies played lights out on defense, not allowing the Demon Deacons to put up any points on the scoreboard.

The offensive line played pretty poorly, Hicks was forced out of the pocket a lot. Graham had 4 nice catches. The run game surpassed 200 yards, something very uncommon for the Hokies since Coach Killernuts took over.
