*** RIVALRY GAME *** vs. 47 - 14 Cal Offense Posts 44 Pancake Blocks to Smother UCLA
This game did not take long to become decided. The stingy Cal defense has been forcing teams into long third downs with one of the best defensive lines in the country and creating multiple opportunities for the offense. Cal was able to spread the ball around and take advantage of a short field often and also the 3 turnovers the defense forced.
From the opening kick Sr RB Lasco was on a mission, again. Last week he put up 222 yards on Oregon State and he was prepared for the rivalry showdown with UCLA. With around 10 recruits visiting Berkley for this game, the Cal offense picked a great weekend to shine. The Bruins could not contain Lasco as he broke multiple runs untouched through the line for double digit yardage. Averaging nearly 7 yards a carry for the game he was the work horse for much of the game for Cal. Lasco finished with 198 yards with 2 touchdowns. The Cal offense would have loved to get QB Brown involved this week with his speed but the lingering injury still has him sidelined.
The Cal defense continues to shine with a total of 6 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 1 interception.
Nice to win big when the recruits are there.
Yeah since I have 1 commit so far!
I am playing now. Advance at 10 PM EST tonight!
Are you keeping the sliders the same, or implementing that new set?
#16 UVA 6
Maryland gets of the losing streak with this dominant performance over ACC rival UVA. We would dominate from the beginning led by QB Montana who threw for 4 TDs and 261 YDs, all of this with star WR Diggs going out in the 1st QTR with a mild concussion. The run game was very solid as well led by HB Ross who had 95 YDS on 19 carries. Backup QB Ingraham got in the action on the ground as well rushing for 75 YDs and a TD. The defensive highlight would be led by DE Gordon who got 3 sacks and Freshman CB Thomas who got 2 INTs. Maryland is now 4-3 and looks to start and push back in the right direction. Right into the fray next week as we host #2 Clemson.
Two summaries? This rivals my new user OD.... smh
I had a bye.
I wouldn't worry about yourself and your recaps. I've tried suggesting a couple things but I can't manage it all. Oh well.... I believe Hova implemented those sliders based on my game this morning. I played USC and they went CHEESE-SH*T-CRA-CRA on me. I couldn't make one tackle. Couldn't cover anyone. I was down like 24-7 at one point and I had to resort to implementing the go-route offense. I've never played the CPU where they literally made me look like I've never played the game on defense. My f*cking defense is a 89 rating - that's better than most. Yet, couldn't stop them to save my life. Pulled out the win in dramatic fashion but that game wasn't even fun. I know it's USC and they have a stacked team - but if these are the new sliders, I'll be going back to a .500 team.
I think he said he was waiting until next season to implement new sliders. I could be wrong though.
Hmmm... USC just decided to jack my *ss around then. Very frustrating but a challenge compared to some of the weak teams I've played so far this year. Still trying to land my 2nd recruit
That's a bummer...you'll get more redruits
USC came out and frustrated us early just like last year, with long drives, running right down our throat, and quick passes to open receivers. Both scoring drives in the first quarter were 10+ plays by the USC offense and it put Colorado in a 14-0 hole to start the second quarter. QB Justin Jackson finally got the offense moving and went on a long drive to score his own 9 yard TD pass to WR Pete Walker to cut the lead to 14-7 USC early in the quarter (6:22). The Trojans would march right down the field again and answer with TD to extend their lead back to 14 points at 21-7 (3:03). Jackson engineered another scoring drive that ended with a sweet TD catch by TE Eric Horne in double coverage, with the lead now down to 21-14 USC got the ball back with less than a minute left in the half (0:58). Finally the Buffalo defense got some pressure on the USC QB and forced him to throw an interception getting Jackson and company back out onto the field. Jackson connected with WR Bruce Vandermuelen on a 44 yard TD pass to tie the game at 21-21 (0:35) going into halftime.
The Buffalo ground game got going in the second half, with HB Donta Abron scoring from 33 yards out after some great blocking by the offensive line midway through the third quarter (4:10). Down for the first time, 28-21, USC answered right back with a 75 yard TD bomb on the very next possession to tie it back up at 28-28. As time expired in the third quarter Colorado hit a 34 yard FG to put them up 31-28 and that would be the final score. Both defenses tightened up in the fourth quarter and for some strange reason the USC offense was running down the clock with less than 3 minutes left in the game when they were punting.
QB C. Kessler 19/26 258 YDS 3 TD 1 INT
HB A. Jaffe 15 CAR 142 YDS
WR D. Rodgers 5 REC 107 YDS 3TD
QB Justin Jackson 18/23 252 YDS 3 TD
HB Donta Abron 16 CAR 117 YDS 1 TD
WR Rich Mayes 5 REC 83 YDS
USC has been giving people fits.
