Bama gets a much needed win in the SEC, and are left with only one more regular season USER game vs LSU.

Replacing Howard with Brent Calloway has proven to be a good move, and on the first play of the game he picked off Tennessee's Mayfield and took the ball inside the 20. However, Bama would give the ball right back after failing to convert a 4th and 2.

Today the Tide kept the ball on the ground as much as possible...Tennessee did a good job forcing us into passing situations, but Todd Price had a big day through the air going 11 of 17 for 301 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT. Daniel Bryan was held to 36 yards on 9 carries, but scored less than a minute into the second quarter where he lined up at X receiver and hauled in an 81 yard reception.

17-0 at the half and the Tide started with the ball, but Tennessee returned an interception 57 yards for a TD. The Vols would score again on a 92 yard pass on 3rd and long. Going into the fourth Bama drove down the field again only to fail another 4th down conversion (0-3 in the redzone today). The Vols started on the 2 and drove all the way down the field, but on 3rd the defense made a big play on a double safety blitz called by Coach Murk.

Unfortunately FS Trey Beck ran the ball out of the endzone and was tackled at the 4 yard line. The Crimson Tide were forced into a 3rd and long situation with 1:32 left in the game, and went up top to Bradley Sylve for a 94 yard TD to seal the victory!

The Iowa defense set the stage for this annihilation early, spotting the offense 14 points, on an interception return for a TD and a fumble return for a TD. The defense also recorded 6 sacks in the first half and 9 on the day, while also recording 18 TFL, a couple more pass deflections and another FF. The offense got into gear in the second quarter and was consistent the rest of the game. The Iowa backups were in again late in the third quarter with the 3rd string seeing time late in the fourth quarter.

Texas A&M's QB was a scrambler, tried to run early a lot on pass plays, which gave me at least 3-4 sacks and also annoyed the hell out of me as he was able to covert some 1st downs. Other than that they didn't do much until they hit some pass plays against the second string players.

After early struggles, the Sun Devils pulled away from the Spartans with a 21-6 run after the half, coasting to an easy win. After giving up over 200 yards passing in the first half, the Sun devil defense stiffened, giving up under 100 yards of total offense in the second half.

The offense was led by halfback Luke Peterson, who racked up 204 yards on 22 carries while quarterback Michael Eubanks threw for four touchdowns and only one interception. The win puts the Sun Devils at 4-4 on the season and after a bye in week 10 will host Pac-12 foe UCLA.
