    Ole Miss - 10

The Rebels gained most of their yards through the air despite completing less than 40% of their passes on the day. Their QB Green, was able to lead their team in rushing with his scrambling skills. For the Tigers, both Thomas and Green went over 100 yards of rushing. Miller threw for just over 200. As usual, it was the Tigers defense that really stood out though. After an 8 interception game (yeah), the Tigers went from the bottom half of the league to the top half. Three turnovers were returned for TDs, with a couple more being close.

LSU has one game remaining, but has sealed their spot in the conference title game where they will play currently undefeated Georgia. Both teams look to be in top form, so we'll see how it shakes out.

Big plays were the story of this game and the Iowa Hawkeyes just made more of them than the Michigan State Spartans. Iowa QB Adam Reese threw TD passes of 26 and 41 yards to WR Brian Pino and he also hit WR Sylvester Johnson for a 69 yard TD pass as well. Iowa RB Dwayne Berry had TD runs of 62 and 52 on his way to over 200 yards rushing and CB/KR Omar Hayes had a 99 yard kick return for a TD. The kick return came right after Michigan State RB M. Norton broke a 69 yard TD run for the Spartans. Norton gashed Iowa for 171 yards of his own and was frustrating the defensive coordinator all game.

Iowa has byes the next two weeks in preparation for the conference championship game.

DeShawn Minor and turnovers were the name of this game. Notre Dame jumped out to a 10 point lead in the first half with USC not scoring until there was only 2:32 left in the first half. That score would come on a 77 yard TD run by Minor. USC would continue to claw their way back in the second half with a 3rd quarter field goal, only to see Notre Dame take the lead back with an early 4th quarter field goal. From there, it would be all USC the remainder of the game, forcing turnovers and scoring 2 TD's on big plays by Ryan Stewart, Josh Wilson and DeShawn Minor. In the end, this game was all about DeShawn Minor's big day and 3 turnovers. Otherwise a very close game that was a nail biter to the end. GG MoonBBad

    Notable Stats:
RB DeShawn Minor 22 Carries, 218 Yards, 2 TD
USC - 0 Turnovers (First time for everything)

It was an offensive explosion, with both teams totaling over 400 yards of total offense. However, for HB Luke Peterson, it was a chance to have his moment against bitter rival Arizona, and he was up to the task. "I knew the team was going to put the game on my shoulders," said Peterson, "and I just had to go out there and prove that I could be a game changer in the backfield." The Senior HB ran for 249 yards on only 15 carries, and found the endzone four times. A fitting end to the last rivalry game of his career.
