    Week 1

    Penn State 40
    Texas A&M 14

The Nittany Lions offense sputtered to start the game, resulting in 3 field goals. The only first half TD was a wildcat keeper TD by WR Brett Smith. The offense performed a little better in the second half. The PSU coach was undecided on the QB to start the game so true freshman Calvin Barber and redshirt sophomore Eddie Darby split time. Barber hit the big play of the game with a 57 yard touchdown to Jeff Scott. Later in the same quarter Darby hooked up with WR Chris Pino for a score. On the defensive side Penn State gave up some yards but forced 2 turnovers. Kelvin Hall and Joe Caldwell started the season on a good note, with an interception for each player. Next up for the Nittany Lions is the game against the Aggies big brother, Texas. They will face the Longhorns without #2 WR Cornelius Wilson, who is expected to miss 7-8 weeks.

    Week 2

    Penn State 45
    Texas 24

In the Texas A&M game there was a QB controversy but Eddie Darby stepped up in his second game. In a crucial game against #8 Texas, the offense needed to put points on the board. The passing game was up to the task with Darby leading the way. The redshirt sophomore QB passed for more than 300 yards in the first half and he finished with 549 yards in the game, including 4 TD passes. All 4 wide receivers contributed to this total, with WR Jeff Scott leading the group. Scott finished with 159 yards receiving on 7 catches. Chris Pino and Brett Smith each broke the 100 yard mark and they each scored a TD. Freshman WR Tramon Clark and senior tight end Jovan Wallace caught the other TD passes. The defense once again gave up yards but made enough stops to secure the win. Once again Penn State won the turnover battle 2-0. The biggest play was a pick six by CB Cole Anderson. This play pushed the momentum into the Nittany Lions' favor and Texas could not answer back. Unfortunately the defense suffered a big blow when outside linebacker Aaron White was injured. The senior will not play another game in college, but should still find a job in the NFL. His presence will be missed but unfortunately the team will need to move on without him in the lineup. Penn State faces off with a tough Clemson team in week 3 and the road game will test the readiness of the young quarterbacks.

    Alabama - 41
    Miami - 27

This one was way too close for comfort. Masler did a great job hanging with Alabama. His team does not compare to the Crimson Tide but he played a wonderful game. He could not overcome 3 interceptions and a punt returned for a TD by Jake Carlson. Joe McKinley led the way on offense. He carried the ball 18 times for 139 yards and 2 TDs. These two true freshman look as if they are both going to be big contributors to this year's team. Ryan Horn had an okay game. He threw for 181 yards and 1 TD and added 1 TD on the ground. He was only sacked 1 time this game as compared to 7 the previous. Ryan McGee led the way for the receivers with 3 catches for 85 yards.

Alabama has a bye next week before traveling to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks to open SEC play.

    Oregon- 52
    Houston- 7

The Ducks bounced back after their embarassing lost last week against Va Tech with an impressive showing against Houston. Oregon jumped out on the Cougars early and often as they built a 52-0 halftime lead. The starters were pulled at half. Game stats to come later, dynasty wire not working at work at the moment...

    Final OT

    USC 59
    LSU 56

My defense SUCKS BALLS. This game was a joke, both teams scored at will all game long minus a few drives where USC fumbled, which we did about 3 different times. QB Fields had a monster day throwing for over 500 yards and 5 TDs and rushing for 90 and a TD. Freshman WR Adams had 3 of the TD catches. The biggest fumble of the game however came in OT when the LSU WR fumbled on the first play of OT. This would lead to a USC FG to seal the win. GG aj.

This defense is filled with a buncha PANSIES. I should bench them all for the rest of the season.

    Bruins Beat Broncos
Los Angeles, CA (AP) -- The Bruins open their season in week 2 vs. Boise State. UCLA defended the Rose Bowl with pride and came away with the W. The Powder Blue were firing on all cylinders vs. the Broncos. UCLA's NFL-destined WR Hurd was an animal. He broke UCLA's single-game record for most receiving yards thanks to 2 huge receptions where he broke tackles after the catch. The 6'6 Hurd could turn into a real headache for anyone matched up on the other side of the LoS this season.

The run game was on point also. The bruising run-style of Humphrey will be missed, but Ryan Bates' cuts and slashes seem to be just as effective. Bates was able to turn the corner a couple of times and rack up some good numbers, breaking one rush for 80 yards a score. Freshman RB A. Brown was effective in garbage time, earning 69yd on a 5.3avg and punching 1 in for a TD.

Check out the dynasty wire for Hurd's 2 HUGE receptions.

    Clemson 24 Maryland 21

This game was too close for words. Coach Duke got a little arrogant thinking it's Maryland they're a joke. Boy oh boy does Duke regret saying that statement. The Teraphins played close all day as Clemson's starter Baldwin went down for a strained ankle and will be out for one week leaving the second string Chad Dockery to try and lead the tigers to success against next weeks Penn State Nittany Lions, Coach Duke says his Tigers will try to not be embarrassed in front of his home crowd.

The Catholics came into the Big House and used their hurry up no huddle offense to its advantage. Michigan struggled to get its offense clicking until it was too late.
