    LSU - 40
    Oregon - 6

The Tigers got past a talented #9 ranked Oregon team with a dominating victory. Kendall Miller completed 19/28 passes for 282 yards and 3 TDs. He also had 2 interceptions on what were basically arm punts. Brandon Thomas was able to bounce back from an injury on the second drive and pick up 137 rushing yards on 17 attempts as well as 98 yards on 3 catches - most of which came on an 80 yard screen pass that resulted in Thomas's only TD on the day. Seward had 6 catches, but was not able to get much done after the catch and was held just to 36 yards, though he scored on a beautiful comeback route in the end zone. Johnson had a 46 yard reception when he got over top of a safety blitz and probably would have scored had he not needed to adjust his stride to haul it in. The defense played very well, allowing just 6 points. Oregon was able to pass with pretty good accuracy, but most of their passes were short completions so they had some issues moving the sticks. Aside from one long run, Oregon was not able to run the ball very well either. The pass rush was also outstanding, with the defense recording 8 sacks on the day. Former :5stars: Abrams had 4 sacks. Parker (who just switched from end to DT this year), had 2 sacks and is beginning to show that he can handle the position. Cantrell's great season continued with an interception he returned for a TD. Freshmen Kicker Anderson looks like he may be able to replace 3 time Groza winner Macklin. He made 4 field goals today.

    #1 Michigan 59
    Air Force 0

Michigan hosted Air Force in this Big House this year after last years "Magical Season". Michigan would obliterate them in every facet of the game holding them to 86 yards of offense and 0 points. We had 2 HBs that were near 100 yards and a balanced passing attack. The Michigan defense caused 4 turnovers and sacked the opposing QB 6 times. The backups were all in by the 4th QTR.

    QB Thomas 173.8 Rating 10/18 175 YDS, 2 TDs

HB F. Williamson 13 Carries, 93 YDS, TD
    HB S. Williamson 10 Carries, 96 YDS, 2 TDs
TE Washington 3 Rec, 38 YDs

CB Bailey 3 Tackles 2 INTs

    #16 USC 3
    #3 Iowa 17

Iowa got on the board first in this game after the Hawkeye defense forced a sack/fumble on a third down and recovered it on USC's first drive. This gave Iowa great field position and the cashed in on a 5 yard HB Kevin Singleton TD run to take the lead 7-0 with three and a half minutes left in the first quarter. The Hawkeyes would force a punt on USC's next possession but the offense was stopped short of the endzone and settled for a 31 yard FG to extend the lead to 10-0 with only 0:30 seconds left in the opening quarter. The second quarter was mostly both teams punting, but, USC managed to get into scoring range and came away with a FG to cut the lead to 10-3 with about a minute left in the half. That is where the score would stay for halftime.

The third quarter was much like the second, both teams struggled to get anything going offensively, Iowa finally got something going late and extended that into the fourth quarter. The Hawkeyes put up their second and final touchdown of the game on a HB Dwayne Berry 10 yard scoring run to extend the lead to 17-3 with 5:48 left in the game. USC mounted a drive and got into scoring position but two consecutive sacks left them in a fourth and long that they could not convert. Iowa was able to run out the remainder of the clock for the win.

    Good game Kaen.
