    #8 Virginia Tech 34
    #6 Florida State 24

In this clash of ACC powers, the Virginia Tech Hokies were able to make it out alive.

The games started off poorly, with an interception by Davis which led to a score. After a couple of stalled drives by both teams, Davis finally started to play like Killernuts as been hoping for all season. He threw the ball fairly effectively, and had some nice scrambles away from pressure to pick up some key first downs. Virginia Tech scored 21 points in the second quarter, giving them a 28-14 lead at half. The second half was a battle of the defenses. Not wanted to risk mistakes, Virginia Tech got 2 FGs. After a series of big plays where Florida State looked like they had turned on the turbo buttons, breaking several tackles each play, it looked like they were poised to get back in the game. However, they opted to kick it off, leading to McFadden's second field goal and then a turnover on downs.

Both teams were unable to run the ball. Both defenses were flowing to the ball extremely quickly and getting a lot of penetration. Both teams struggled mightily on third down, something extremely rare for both teams. Almost all of the yardage this game was gained through the air.

    Key Performances
Mosby - 5 Tackles, 1 FF (kept FSU from scoring with the FF)
    Hardy - 8 tackles, 1 TFL, 2 Deflections
Garcia - 8 rec, 125 yds, 1 TD (did an excellent job of filling in for the injured graham)
    Davis - 182 rating, 28/41, 461 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT

Ohio State was hoping to build off last weeks first win of the season. Indiana is usually a good remedy for a team that has had its struggles. The running game combined for 6 TDs and 172 yards. The defense played well forcing 3 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 2 sacks. Jamaal Winston had both sacks and now has five in his last two games. QB Ronnie Adams got a chance to play some in the 2nd half and was very effective. He went 6/7 122 yards and a TD.

    USC 42
    Washington 7

USC dominates this one on defense along with a steller performance from QB Greg Fields who had a passer rating over 300 and threw 4 TDs, 3 to WR Alcarez. Freshman HB Barry Sanders Jr has his first 100 yard game of his career, breaking a 70 yard TD run late in the 4th QTR. USC looks to continue plowing through the Pac-10 schedule next week when they head to Arizona.

    Oregon- 31
    LSU- 14

Oregon finally made some big plays in the air and it was needed as the running game was contained. Jones threw for a career high 303yds. Simon rushed for 79yds but his 90yds recieving really sparked the offense. LSU was able to move the ball fairly easy but the turnover bug got the best of the Tigers. 6 turnovers, many of them in Duck territory was just to much to overcome. GG ajtev and gl teh rest of the season.
