Iowa crushed the Boilermakers by running the ball right down their throat all game. The Hawkeyes attempted only 3 passes in the first half, all in the two minute drill before the end of the half, and only 8 attempts the whole game. Meanwhile they had 41 rushes for 285 yards and 5 TDs as a team and all of those were from 2 yards or less. HB Kevin Singleton led the way with 28 carries for 163 yards and 4 TDs while #2 Dwayne Berry put up 70 yards on 8 carries and #3 Josh Young put up a TD and 52 yards on 5 carries in mop up duty. The Hawkeye defense also scored on two pick 6's, with one of them by DE Tommy Riley lol.

    ASU - 45
    Stanford - 35

ASU welcomed back their Senior quarterback Richie Vinson, who was knocked out of the Cal game on the first play, and he showed a fire that easily led this team to the win. After having his first pass batted down at the line, Vinson completed his next 21 pass attempts, leading the team to 35 first half points. After giving up over 100 yards to Stanford's halfback the defense settled in in the second, securing the victory with an interception and turnover on downs on Stanford's last two possessions.

    POG: R. Vinson - 24/34, 301 yards, 4 TD/0 INT

    Notable stat leaders:

Justin Jackson played his first big game since week 3, and proved he is a different player in his home stadium. Jackson struggled in the games in Ann Arbor and Columbus. This is to be expected, he was making his second and third career starts in stadiums hosting more than 100,000 fans. With the Georgia faithful in his corner, Jackson was able to land a huge win against #4 Tennessee. Jackson not only played his best game, he played one of the best games of any Georgia QB.

The redshirt freshman threw just 1 incomplete pass on 13 attempts. His 12 complete passes went for 274 yards and 3 TD. The first TD pass was a screen, so admittedly Jackson did little work on that play. The second and third TD went to star WR Mitchell, including a broken play on the first TD. Mitchell was supposed to run a curl but struggled getting off the line. He finally got off the press coverage and decided to keep running. Jackson made the pass and a broken tackle led to the 82-yard score. On defense Georgia was able to get some key stops and force Tennessee to punt. There was 0 turnovers in this game, something neither team could claim in the last meeting.

This win sets up Georgia for another berth in conference title game. There is still a lot of tough foes on the schedule, but they techincally have a 2-game lead on Tennesse. Florida and South Carolina are the toughest conference foes remaining on the schedule. Iowa is the most difficult opponent, and the last non-conference game for the Bulldogs. That game will be in Athens during week 14.
