    Legacy: Freshman Focus 4

As we roll into the 2013 season we take another gander at our young contributors on the gridiron. Let's take a look at the freshman making early impacts so far:

    QB Kerry Stanley :5stars:
    Stats: 202.7 Rating, 120/194 2,310 Yds, 27 TDs, 5 INTs, 61% Compl, 270 YDs Rushing, 2 TDs
Synopsis: Kerry has had a great season with a strong rating and good ball control. He did however falter against Penn St and was benched after the 1st QTR showing he was not ready for the big games. He will given the starting nod in the BCS game but will be pulled again if he does not perform. The most efficient freshman QB in the nation but still needs work on leading his team.

    FS Rick Washington :4stars:

    Stats: 63 TDs, 16 TFL, 3 Sacks, 4 INTs, 3 Defl, FF, 3 Fum Rec, 4 TDs
Synopsis: Rick is having a dominant season and is the savior of the Trojans last week with a HUGE pick six that saved the championship season. He is freak on defense and gets to the endzone nearly everytime he touches the ball. He can tackle, he can sack, he can lay the lumber and most of all he can hawk the ball and make huge plays for his team. He has the Trojans ranked #1 and is a favorite to win FOTY after his legendary performance vs Penn St.

    FS Lawrence Flanagan :4stars:
    Stats: 56 Tackles, 7 TFL, 2 Defl
Synopsis: Lawrence had a great season for the bulldogs leading the team in tackles. He failed to make any big plays but continued to be a solid tackler and leader of the defense. Should have a bright future ahead of him.

    WR Blake Weber :3stars:

    Stats: 64 Rec, 1,212 Yds, 14 TDs, 10 Drops
Synopsis: Blake had an amazing season for a 3 star prospect leading the Legacy users in catches. He also amassed 1000 yards and 14 TDs. He cut down his drops as well in the last part of the season. A budding star down in Miami.

    QB Marquis Weber :4stars:

    Stats: 180.7 262/432 4,746 Yds, 46 TDs, 16 INTs, 60% Compl.
Synopsis: Weber has put up a monster statistical season for the Hokies, pretty amazing for a freshman. He has however had problems with INTs and accuracy. He will play in one of the bigger games of his career in the ACC Champ game and will have to really lead his team to victory with a great performance to jump in the lead of the FOTY race.

    WR Mike Schroeder :5stars:
    Stats: 84 Rec, 1,437 Yds, 7 TDs, 1 Drop
Synopsis: Mike has lived up to the 5 star hype and is a true #1 WR for the Bruins. He leads all freshman in yards and is the best Freshman Wideout in the nation. He also had 1 drop the whole entire season which is amazing when considering his catch amount. Should be a great target down in UCLA for years.

    LE Jordan Evans :4stars:
Stats: 36 Tackles, 11 TFL, 8 Sacks, 2 Defl, TD

Synopsis: Jordan had not kept up his sack pace but none the less has put together a very solid season. He has 8 sacks and also made a huge play that put him in the endzone. A strong end for Michigan and should be a force to reckon with as he progresses.

I notice you tried to hide the write up for Evans. Damn East and West coast bias :)

No Penn State freshman are starting this season and it is likely not going to change next season. Only 10 seniors on the roster so most of the starters will be back.

    Nice writeup as always Hova.

I am actually surprised he even dropped one. He's not that quick, but he catches everything and makes people miss randomly.

    Great write-up, Hova.

Can't we vote for this? Seems like a USC player is always front runner...I don't really care, just an idea since we vote on everything else.

No because then it will turn into a stat whore contest. This is what freshman has the biggest impact on your team and their success.

USC player has only one it once before. A defensive player with 4 touchdowns, a season saving performance, on a #1 team in the nation is impacting his team more than any other. Has nothing to do with the user.

Take a look at the history of winners, every winner was on a title winning team with a huge impact or a team that had a huge season based on his play (Murray)

Weber's numbers are mostly just the system, like Texas Tech's QB every year. If you actually got to see the games, you'd understand how tempting it is for me to bench him some times.

SS Rick Washington takes home the award this year with a monster season for the USC defense which led them to a BCS game that never got played. He had an unheard of 4 TDs on the season and was also a tackling machine. He is a triple threat at safety with blazing speed and will be the leader of the USC defense for atleast 2 more years before most likely going pro.
