Boston College came in intent on giving the Seminoles their first loss of the season. They started out strong and only allowed Florida State 4 offensive plays in the first quarter. The only problem is BC didnt score any points either. They had two long drives. The first got inside the FSU 10 yard line before HB Sterlin Pfifer would fumble the ball away. The 2nd drive stalled and the BC kicker would miss his first FG of the day, Freese would end up missing all 3 of his FG attempts.

The 2nd quarter didnt get started any better for FSU. 2nd play of the quarter is an option play. Ponder decides to pitch the ball, but the ball is tipped. BC returns the fumble 28 yards for the TD. That would be the scoring until right before half. FSU finally got something going when Ponder hit WR Kenny Shaw on a 39 yard bomb. This set us up on the 6 yard line. Very next play HB Jermaine Thomas takes it right up the middle for a physical TD run. 7-7 at the half.

The 2nd half saw Boston Colleges offense really get rolling. WR Billy Flutie was no joke. He finished with 11 receptions for 141 yards and a TD. Im sure it would have been more but he got hurt early in the 4th quarter.

Fast forward to about 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter. BC is up 21-13. Ponder knows he needs to get points on the board. He quickly hit Fast Willie Haulstead on a 5 yard drag, Wille proceeds to out run everyone for a 57 yard TD. FSU goes for two. Ponder didnt see anyone open and takes it in himself to tie the game.

With less than a minute to go it appears as if Florida State has the game in hand. They are in the read zone just running out the clock waiting on the game winning FG. With 12 seconds left Lonnie Pryor takes the ball up the middle for a 6 yard gain to the 12 yard line. He is tackled with 6 seconds left, at 3 second Coach Ceewo and Christian Ponder start screaming for a time out, several times. But the refs act like they do not see us and let the clock run out. FSU will be reporting the refs to the ACC in hopes that disaplinary actions will be taken.

    Overtime.
FSU get the ball first and only gains 3 yards on 3 plays. We settle for Dustin Hopkins 3rd FG of the day. Lucky for FSU fans BC didnt fair much better. On 3rd down DE Toshmon Stephens records his 3rd sack of the day, forcing a long BC FG attempt. Freese would miss his 3rd and final FG of the day.

FSU survives and welcomes the bye week after a couple of close games.

    Alabama - 35
    Ole Miss - 14

This game was just the opposite of my previous one. Last game I could not stop the pass, this game I could not stop the run. Ole Miss ran for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brandon Bolden gashed my defense for 137 yards and 2 scores. He seemed to break just about every tackle (7 total).

The game was decided late in the 4th quarter by 3 Dre Kirkpatrick interceptions, one returned 61 yards for a touchdown. He ended the afternoon with 3 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 3 pass deflections.

Trent Richardson returned from injury and had a monster game. He ran the ball 13 times for 143 yards and 3 scores. One of those scores was a 73 yarder. Greg McElroy had a terrible game. He went 9 for 18 for 129 yards with no touchdowns and 3 interceptions.

This game was not without disappointment. Junior Free Safety Robbie Green was lost to injury for at least 7 weeks.

Next week Alabama travels to Knoxville to face the Vols.

"USC barely escapes with the W in a tough fought battle with the Cal Golden Bears. One thing that hurt the trojans all game was FUMBLES. CJ Gable has 2 in his return and had them in terrible situation that put Cal in the position for the win. QB Barkley however had a game winning drive that set the tone with 3 minutes left in the game. He led the offense on 5 perfect throws that resulted in a TD drive in less than 1 minute. The defense then held and USC ran out the clock for the W. Gable has 76 yards and 2 TDs in his return but only averaged a pitiful 2 yard per carry. SO WR Brice Butler had a huge day with 150 yards on 4 catches. USC goes on a BYE next week then they Host the Ducks for the biggest game of the Pac-10 season and most likely a top 5 showdown."

I can play my game tomorrow night, should be able to get on some time in evening around 6 PM or so. Oh and it sucks that I lost out on Anderson, this means I likely won't get a single :5stars: recruit in this class.

    Ohio State - 17
    Wisconsin - 14 (OT)

Buckeyes survive a tight game at the unfriendly Camp Randall Stadium. After Ohio State had to settle for 37-yard FG to begin OT, Wisconsin drove the ball down to the 2 but were stopped on the following three plays. The Badgers' kicker then missed a chip shot from the right hash mark to give OSU the win. Full recap plus highlights will be posted in the morning.
