Quarterback Kevin Newsome scored three touchdowns in this game but he also turned it over three times. He also failed to complete 50% of his passes, 12 of 27, and missed some open receivers in this game. It didn't start off bad for Newsome, on his first pass of the game he found Derrick Moye for a 62 yard TD grab. Moye would add 3 more catches in this game and he finished with 111 yards receiving. Over on the defensive side the Nittany Lions gave up some yards on the ground to Minnesota tailback Bennett, 104 yards on 17 carries but the pass defense was much stronger. The pass rush got to QB Weber 5 times in this game, including 2 by DE Lattimore. Latimore also forced the game securing fumble that put the game out of reach. That fumble was recovered by DT Ogbu for a TD. Penn State then forced an interception by Weber, which allowed the team to run out the clock.

Next week things will be tougher for Penn State as the Michigan Wolverines come to town. Michigan is having a down season but they still have a talented team.

    Auburn-21
    Lsu- 27

The tigers go down in conference play as the pass game struggled once again givnig up 2 picks but at the same time going for 2 scores, 1 late in the game... Auburn had 2 minutes to come back from being down 13 they scored with 57 seconds left but the onside kick some how avoided them......(explain this one to me lol)......

    http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/27682771

Coach DJ after the game: "Well its kind of f*ckin hard to come away with a win when every single RB is averaging 5 yards a carry or damn near close to it. Like how does that happen how does that make sense? Doesnt really to me blame my defense? Sure lets say that. That onside kick keeps replaying in my head over and over, We got the bounce, we even got the lsu player to hit it towards our guys, we got a guy to get his hands on it and he blows it, reminds me of Hank Baskett........Yeah our run game was doing really well i think Dyer went for 87 yards on 13 carries or something, but to get a run game established you have to be close and we were playing catch up way to much in this game....But ohwell cant dwell on this loss for long we have Ole Miss nxt week..."

Apparently lol, the Run Blocking is insane makes no sense the way i couldnt stop the run all game no matter the back. But i guess thats the only way the CPU stands a chance unless its on Heisman *cough* *cough*.... Cause no other slider can be adjusted...Atleast put our running ability back up or interceptions....But i digress

A rowdy Homecoming crowd of over 66,000 watched as the Blue Devils kept this one close in the first half, only to be dominated by 2nd half adjustments. With the Hokies up 21-7, the Blue Devils score a touchdown with :04 to go in the half to pull within a score. Jarrett Boykin was having none of that and took the kickoff from 2 yards deep in the endzone to 2 yards deep in the other endzone for a 102 yards KO return. It was all downhill for Duke in the second half, with Ryan Williams and Darren Evans both eclipsing the century mark and combining for 5 TD's.

Miami loses 21-33 to north Carolina thanks to three dropped TD passes in the 4th and my defense failing to catch two easy picks. Such bull.

    Alabama - 27
    Tennessee - 10

Alabama survives upset bid by Vols

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. That is the only way to describe this game. There were 7 turnovers on the afternoon. Tennessee had 5 and Alabama 2. Both of my turnovers came from Mark Ingram fumbling.

Tennessee's run defense came to play today. It seemed like they were in the back field all afternoon. Ingram ran for 81 yards on 20 carries. He was able to find the endzone twice but each time the run was under 3 yards. He did not have any carries over 20 yards. Trent Richardson was held to only 23 yards on 11 carries.

Greg McElroy had a pretty good game. He completed 17 of 22 passes for 203 yards and 1 touchdown. His touchdown was late in the 4th quarter when he hit Earl Alexander on a 39 yard strike. Darius Hanks led the receivers with 6 catches for 44 yards.

Dre Kirkpatrick and Nico Johnson both had interceptions on the day. Both came in the 4th quarter as the Vols tried to make the game close. The Alabama defense also caused 3 fumbles and recovered each of them.

Alabama has a bye next week before traveling to Baton Rouge to face the Bayou Bengels.

    Ohio State - 38
    Purdue - 16

For the first time this season Ohio State found itself down 10-0 early in the first quarter. However, the Buckeyes responded by scoring in bunches to run away with a 38-16 win to remain perfect.

The game was played in the pouring rain which forced OSU to rely on the run game even more than usual early on. In the end, Dan Herron and Jamaal Berry combined to run for 165 on 24 rushes. Terrelle Pryor and the wideouts also found their strides totaling 233 passing yards and three touchdowns.

I hate the EA servers with a passion. Feel like I had a great game going with Hokie and the Ducks when, blamo, lost connection. This was the 5th time in the past 3 days this has happened to me. Was a 14-14 game at half when this happened.

So we decided to play another half and I got whooped. Perhaps I was still reeling from the mass quantities of restarts...I dont know. I realize I would have had to play extremely well to beat Oregon on the road but frankly I was in that first half! End rant. Piss off EA and your crappy servers!!!!

Yeah great 1st half of the first game, Recchem. It does suck that it ended that way. I am not sure if momentum is a factor but UCLA had a fighting chance that first game. The second game it was like a completely different team.

So add up scores- Oregon 35 over UCLA 14

I ended up finishing off the cpu in the second half of the second game 42-7. Next weeks game against USC will be for the Pac 10 and possible BCS title game. Huge match up.

Yep, it was a big let down when the game froze tied at half. Oh well, there is always next year. I did manage to run my user game record in NCAA11 to 0-8 now, so I got that going for me (n)

    Kentucky 28

Georgia rolled into Lexington with a chip on their shoulder. The Bulldog defense held UK to 3 and out on their first 3 possessions and created 3 turnovers in the game. On offense, Fr QB Aaron Murray threw for 342 yards and AJ Green finally got going, with 123 yards receiving and 2 TD.

Georgia heads to Jacksonville next week for the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

On a bad note, Georgia still has not signed a recruit.
