So its finally here, the 2012 NFL Draft and rumors are swirling fast and furious. So lets go Inside the Huddle.

As reported by the HK news wire, the Kansas City Chiefs have come to terms with Kiam McKenzie the big time talent from USC who will more than likely step right in and start from day one. The only real surprise is that the KC Chiefs did in fire their Public Relations director who called Kiam, Kareem.

With the Chiefs pick on the board, the attention turns to the Jacksonville Jaguars who are clearly rebuilding behind Coach Hal. After trading MJD there are rumors that he will address RB in the first three rounds, but how early and who is still yet to be known.

That leaves the Rams who at 3 are torn at what to do. There has been speculation that the Rams will be going DE because they recently released Chris Long. According to a source high in the Rams organization, Chris Long was going to be cut regardless. He was set to make 12 million this year. You read that right 12 million. To cut Chris Long, they only incurred a 3 million cap hit, and it was just something the Rams had to do. The Rams GM was faced with two of the worst contracts in the NFL with Jason Smith and Sam Bradford, and though the Rams are clearly rebuilding, They have to have the cap room just to fill out their roster this year. They are focusing on the 2014 season as year to really compete. That leaves us with what the Rams are going to do today, and the prospect of taking the best available player or trading back.

When it comes to trading back, several teams have pulled their offers for the 3rd pick, clearly admitting that they were targeting Kiam McKenzie, now it appears the attention is turning to Xavier Simmons the shut down corner who fits a 3-4 system like a T.

So far no new news coming out of Ravens camp, so his pick is still a complete mystery.

The Jets at 5 have been actively telling people that they have a specific player in mind and that is why they traded up, but as of now, no one knows who that is. Several players make sense, but so far no one knows who it is.

Expect to hear the Patriots try and move into the top 10, and if they are unsuccessful they may be active in trading back. At the end of the day don't be surprised to hear the following when the Patriots pick come up, "We have a trade".

The team that is piling up the most picks is the Arizona Cardinals, they have been stockpiling picks and look for them to be extremely active come draft day. Should be an interesting day in the Cardinals war room. They are looking to fill several defensive holes.

Also according to several reports here are the players that are falling in the eyes of several NFL Scouts:

    1) Caleb Brenton - The QB showed up out of shape and interviewed terribly.

    2) Christian Davis - The power RB weighed 238 in Indy, but there are reports that he was recently spotted looking close to 250. Expect this power back to fall.

    3) Marvin Krunch - This guy tore his ACL and the team that takes him will be taking a huge risk as to whether he is fully recovered.

    Players Rising:

    1) Devontry Wilson, the playmaker out of FSU has several teams interested and apparently ran a sub 4.3 40 yard dash for several teams.

    2) Tony Price one of the only Free Safeties worthy of a first round pick, could easily sneak into the top 15 of the draft.

    3) Aerion Boudreaux is a name being associated with the Jags, Colts, and several other teams looking for a playmaker at HB. Not sure he will make it out of the first round.

According to several insiders, expect skill players to go early and often. Some insiders believe 8 corners will get drafted in the first round.

For now I'm OMlawdog, and you've just been inside the huddle.
