The Lions went into Chicago needing a Win to salvage a very sad season. Stafford and Company did just that, however it was in a very bazaar way. After the Lions forced the Bears to go 3 and out. The Lions would march down the field utilizing a lot of the Clock and finally putting 7 on the board. The Bears would answer back, but the Lions defense would stand firm and hold the Bears to 3. Lions would get the ball back and once again put 7 on the board. After holding the Bears again, Stafford would connect with Pinnacle on a swing pass for another 7. Quickly after kickoff, the Bears would return for a Touchdown. Stafford once again would connect several times and hitting TE Dickerson deep down the middle. After the Half the Bears would put together a nice drive and add 7 to the board. Stafford finally started to struggle throwing the ball to his receivers. And Lions would have to punt. Bears would put together some very nice drives and once again get closer to the Lions. Detroit struggled in the passing game the entire 2nd half, and could not establish a great run game. That would allow the Bears to score 2 more TDs to Tie the Game with 1 min left in the 4th Quarter. Headed into Over time the game was very tight. As both Teams would struggle on Offense, not completing passes. You just could see the Defenses on both teams holding their ground and forcing punts. You had a sense that Defense for one of these teams would End this game with a turnover. After swapping sides several times, NO ONE could have predicted what would happen next. Quarterback Blake Bell would hand off to Matt Forte, and Forte would end up Running from the Chicago 35 yard line into the back of their own End Zone, causing a SAFETY. That would seal the Deal for the Lions. Standout players would have to be: AJ Green on Offense with 121 yards receiving on 5 receptions. Ndamakong Suh on Defense with 3 sacks and 7 tackles.
