Just said Miles Austin is the best receiver in the NFL haha what a homer

Has he heard of guys like Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald? Or maybe Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, and Brandon Marshall? You could debate Austin is as good as my guy DeSean Jackson, or Malcolm Floyd and Roddy White, but no way is he the best receiver in the NFL.

Actually he is very far from being a homer. Look at Austin's numbers over the past 16 games. Oh, and yeah....he was undrafted unlike your love fest for all these other receivers...lmao

yup, check the stats over the last 16 games... he was just stating that "statistically" he's been the best WR in the league since his coming out party in KC last year....

    get off the Cowboy haterade

miles is good but he is not even the best WR on his team. Yeah he went undrafted and had nice numbers last year when the Cowboys didn't have an Elite WR but once Dez gets the hang of the hole offense and Romo gets comffy with him it will be the Witten/Bryant show. And yes i HATE THE COWGIRLS(Except Jason Hatcher)

    2010 Miles Austin: 69 receptions, 1041 yards, 7 TD (16 games)

    2010 Calvin Johnson: 77 receptions, 1120 yards, 12 TD (15 games)

    You tell me who's better

Not too shabby for a player that was not even drafted....;)

I would say both players are excellent top tier Wide Outs in the NFL

you're right g, that isnt bad for a player who wasnt drafted. And if we were looking for the best player in the NFL who went undrafted - Austin might win that. However, Aikman said that Austin was the best receiver in the NFL, which is clearly not the case. There are plenty of receivers I would take over him in a draft of current NFL talent at WR - with the #1 pick in my opinion being Calvin Johnson

I refer to the quote below...he was saying numbers wise during that stretch.

I refer to the quote below... if that's what Aikman's saying, then he is wrong.

no, he was talking about the stretch from from the KC Chiefs game (Austin emerged) from the '09 season to whichever '10 game Aikman was doing LIVE

ahhh... this is an old topic then. I see that now.

I still disagree, but his comments make more sense. Austin was hot at the beginning of last season.

well technically (which Aikman meant in the LIVE broadcast) what he was saying was correct...in that stretch no one had better receiving stats at WR. That's all, it was just taken out of context in my opinion....fans being fans
