South Carolina dismantled Miss St 37-7 behind a strong all around effort. MSU scored on the first drive of the game and only had a missed field goal the rest of the way to challenge the Gamecocks. Only bad thing from the game was that I lost my all purpose rb Marcus Lattimore for 10 weeks.

    2011 Week 4
    LSU Tigers - 21
    Miami Hurricane - 20

Miami, FL – The LSU Tigers held on for dear life Saturday in Miami, escaping with a one point victory, 21-20 over the 15th ranked Hurricanes.

Senior HB Stevan Ridley only had 5 touches on the day but 3 of them went for TD’s. Freshman HB Tony Landry carried most of the load, going over 100 yards for the second consecutive week. For the Hurricanes, Senior QB Jacory Harris threw for 2 TD’s but also had 2 costly interceptions.

The Tigers jumped out to 14-3 lead at the half but the Hurricanes came back. Behind the arm of Harris, the Canes tied the score in the 4th quarter with a TD pass and a 2 point conversion. LSU would take the next drive and score to take the lead back. However, they left 18 seconds on the clock and Miami had a full set of time-outs at their disposal.

Harris led the Canes down the field in no time and connected on a TD pass as the clock expired. Coach Beazus went for 2 and the win but Harris’s pass sailed wide of the TE in the end zone and the Tigers got of Dodge with the victory. LSU improves to 3-1 and will start conference play next week with a road game against Mississippi State.

Another great game Beazuse but you were right I should have ran the clock out and kicked the field goal! Until next season…

Mo did just that.....We didn't get to finish our game last year because of a disconnect, so I didn't realize how good on the sticks he was. Especially on defense. I think only Knoles may be better. He had 5 user picks and plenty of drops as he was able to jump most routes. So when you are -5 in the turnover department, you aren't going to win many. I am just glad I kept it close despite all the to's. GG Mo.
