Looking for: IF, Specs Nothing crazy here, just shopping some guys. I may potentially part with one or two, but probably no more than that, if anything. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Best closer in baseball. His contract is heavily front loaded, and drops to 12 million/7million the next two seasons. Put together an all star season this year. Hit 40 bombs in a pitcher's park, while playing excellent defense. Just progressed to 75 power. If Brock's control comes up a hair, he'll be a monster. If it stays put, he'll be a killer closer at worst. A bit of a wildcard, but has big upside. View attachment 32374 Ready to anchor the middle of a rotation as a 3. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How are all of you able to get the screen shots anyways Steve from ootp without the entire computer screen of stuff? I print screen and put it in paint and when I try to crop it comes out horrible.
I thought we had to have it on photobucket or something like that to put an image on the board it had to be on photobucket or something like that since it asks for a web address for an image?
It said FA with possible arbitration. I still haven't figured out quite how this game works, didn't want to take a chance.
Players don't hit arbitration until they've had 3 years of MLB service or qualify as a Super 2(minimum of 2 years and 86 games). Players don't become FAs until they've had 6 full years of MLB service or are released/not renewed/not offered arbitration. So you're basically paying him $9.6 mil in each of the next 2 seasons when he could've been getting $480k. If he had gone to arbitration, it likely would've cost you less than the $9.6 mil too. If you go into the "$" tab in OOTP and then go to "Possible Free Agents", it'll show you all the players which will become FAs without a new contract. If they're not in there, then don't worry about it.
Only problem with the second part is that it doesn't show possible arbitration guys. If you want to see arbitration eligible guys, go under finances and then salaries. Salaries within parenthesis are for arbitration years and are the estimated amount they will get. Peench might have been used to Japan's rules where a player can be arby eligible during their second year. Super 2 goes earlier over there.
You aren't in risk of losing arbitration players. You reach the offseason and then you decide who to offer arbitration to. The part I was talking about are the only players who you can lose without actively deciding to get rid of them. He was concerned about losing him so he offered him an unneeded contract.
Yeah, I misread his post. I was thinking he tried to undercut the arbitration estimate with an offer.
