LSU Game Summaries: 2013 Season
LSU Game Summaries
#7 LSU 20 @ Arizona 17
LSU survives out West, carried on the shoulders of Don McGee!
Arizona draws first blood. Brian Davis goes 2-23 yards while scoring on a 20 yard touchdown.
LSU misses a field goal. Michael Ford is injured twice on the drive. Receivers drop a couple balls, the game isn't looking too good for the Tigers.
Arizona adds to the lead with a field goal with 18 seconds left in the half. LSU just doesn't have the offensive firepower it once had.
Coaching staff makes an announcement at half time in the locker room. We are starting (RS)JR Don McGee in place of true freshman Joe Hall.
Michael Ford is injured for the 3rd time in the game. He sits out for 2 quarters with an upper arm bruise.
LSU gets an 11 play 67 yard drive to cash in 3 points, 10-3.
LSU marches back and adds a touchdown this time to tie the game. The Tigers have been sparked with momentum ever since Don McGee came in at the start of the 2nd half.
Arizona scores to take the lead. Wildcat receiver managed to beat 3 guys to grab it and score. 17-10 Arizona
LSU, led by Don McGee again ties the ball game. He finds Morris Claiborne in the back of the end zone.
LSU stops the Arizona offense on the next possession.
LSU tacks on a field goal with 1:44 left on the clock. Still, plenty of time for the Wildcats to make an upset reality.
Trey Tyson, the much hyped DT makes a big play that might have saved the game for the Tigers as he helps stuff a run up the middle.

Corey Causey 16-51 1TD
Michael Ford 11-21

TCU 0 @ #8 LSU 34
LSU crushes the Horned Frogs. Not much to say about this game but LSU's ability to stuff the TCU offense. We got scores off an interception and a field goal miss. Another interception put us with in scoring range.
The offense was decent at times. Ford was horrid. He did have a couple 15+ yard runs that were called back. He might have reached the century mark. Don McGee, won't have stats from last week's game because of the sim but he sure played great again, steady but decent. Castillo, was himself, giving us the threat deep to the corner for a touchdown.
Things are starting to come together for the Tigers who looked unstoppable at times on defense. The biggest news to come out of this game is that we lose our piece that holds us together on defense. JR(RS) Brian Williams was lost for the season due to a broken femur. That will hurt us later on in the season against our user opponents.
All of these plays happened in the 2nd Quarter.
TCU tries to kick a field goal but didn't think of the consequences. Doug Castillo, sir "Flash" himself, returns the missed field goal for a touchdown.
These next two plays were the result of the tremendous pressure put upon the TCU QB by Trey Tyson. Remember that name, that guy could be in the NFL one day. Massive man with linebacker speed. Check out some of his work.
This play, Tyson and the defensive end stunt. Tyson gets in and disrupts TCU's timing which results in a pick six by Sophomore Seth Collins.
Tyson is doubled by the offensive lineman but manages to make a nice spin move then attempts to swat the ball down. This clouds the QB's vision thus resulting in a sack by defensive end Montgomery
Don McGee 10-13 173 2TD
Joe Hall 1-1 17
Michael Ford 19-47
Corey Causey 6-42
Doug Castillo 4-63 1TD
Scott Means 3-25
Michael Ford 2-87 1TD
Sean Lane 7 Tackles 2TFL
Trey Tyson 5 Tackles 1TFL 1 Sack
#11 Georgia 13 @ #7 LSU 16
Week 4 holds a big test for both of these SEC schools. They open up conference play against one another. Early, but the season is on the line for both of these squads. A loss could very well determine many things. Maybe, no chance at a conference championship game. Perhaps, no BCS bowl. Whatever it is, it means everything.
Huge win for the LSU Tigers. We took care of business. We played our hearts out. The offense played decent. Not the best it could but just enough. We finally got Ford to hit on all cylinders. He looked like a beast out there today. Rumblin', tumblin' for yards getting 136 of em'. Doug Castillo came up big early on with a 57 yard touchdown catch that left defenders in the dust.
It was an honor to play such a respectable & sim opponent. The game went back and forth. I caught breaks & so did cimmy. LSU looks to terrorize the unsuspecting this year and hopefully knock off them fools in Crimson.
PLAYS OF THE GAME
4th & Goal from the 1 yard line. The LSU defense comes up huge like controllerabuser.
Georgia tries for a score but throws a pick instead.
Damn what a classic and takes for the help in the SEC East race not looking forward to playing either of you.
#7 LSU 31 @ Mississippi State 21
LSU was up 28-7 when the starters came out in the 3rd quarter with 1:34 left. I thought it would benefit us to play our younger guys to get them some game experience. Our defense played good and forced some turnovers so the offense didn't have to work so hard.
Sophomore sensation, Trey Tyson beasted the Bulldog running back with a bone-jarring hit to pop the ball loose.
Mississippi State had us pinned at our 1 or 2 yard line. Forced to punt, we would have gave the Bulldogs good field position but the returner failed to fair catch thus paying for it.
LSU now prepares for their biggest game of the year against the Florida Gators.
#2 UF 21 @ #5 LSU 24
DOWN WITH THE CAUSE
LSU triumphs in a much needed win for the program. We are out for blood. We want to sink the TIDE. Only time will tell.
Don McGee 12-14 223 1TD 1INT
Corey Causey 18-80 2TD
Michael Ford 7-35
Doug Castillo 4-86
#2 LSU 30 @ South Carolina 28
LSU holds onto their undefeated season. Almost getting the upset, SC loses on a last second field goal. LSU wasn't able to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball. Mustering 209 yards total offense on the day made the coach pretty mad. After fumbling 2 times in the 1st Quarter, Michael Ford was pulled. However after rushing 5 times for 7 yards Corey Causey was pulled. Ford ended up going over the century mark. He definitely would have been benched for the remainder of the year had he not redeemed himself. The big story of the game for the Tigers was our Kick Return game. Kawika Flores & Morris Claiborne both added touchdowns to spark some points. LSU has a lot of work to do before they can knock on Bama's door.
Auburn 38 @ #2 LSU 42
LSU found themselves staring at upset city. Down 10-0, Coach CA was yelling all kinds of inappropriate words. Throwing his headset and ripping his playbook apart, J.J. Moore would get a scoop and score to give the Tigers a wake up call. Auburn would answer and quiet the crowd. 17-7 would put the Tigers back in the cage with 3:41 to play in the 1st half.
LSU looks at the scoreboard wondering how the hell they could be losing 24-7. Michael Ford gets a big catch and finishes the drive with a 1 yard score to put the game at 24-14 Auburn leading. Morris Claiborne would bring it within 4 as he makes a 60 yard score after Auburn misses a field goal, 24-21. Both squads would exchange touchdowns edging the game to 31-28. LSU stares at a loss to Auburn going into the 4th Quarter 38-28.
Kawika Flores does the unthinkable, brings momentum back to the stands. Returning the opening 4th Quarter kick for a touchdown, could this be a comeback win? 38-35, LSU does something they haven't done since the 2nd Quarter, force a punt. After punting but gaining possession back LSU's Don McGee finds none other than the playmaker himself, Doug Castillo to put the Tigers in scoring position. Don McGee runs it in to take the lead but still leaves 2:30 on the clock.
4th and 1 inside my 5....... 1:00 minute left... ball batted in the air... I PICK IT!!
Tigers looking ahead to next week?
