    LSU @ Miss St.

Miss St was anxious to get their feet wet in the SEC western division. New coach, Coach RTP was ready to see where his boys stood in comparison of other SEC powers. LSU came to town in week 5 to give them that test.

Miss St would drive right down the field after the opening kickoff, only to get inside the red zone and for their QB Russell to throw an errant pass that resulted in an INT. After that both teams would swap FG's and then the action really got going.

This huge fumble kept LSU out of the endzone early in the 2nd half. Setting up a huge offensive play for the Bulldogs

After the fumble, with the game tied at 3-3, Russell hooked up with Harris for this 82 yard TD strike.

LSU would drive the field to tie it up again. Miss St. would find the endzone again before the half to keep the pressure on the Tigers. This pass from Russell to the TE Moss was the answer

As the half was winding down, LSU was trying to put up another score to tie it up going into the half. LSU once again turned the ball over in the red zone. Garrett meet MSU CB J. Banks

There were less fireworks in the 2nd half as both teams were trying not to make that mistake that would cost them. LSU put together a nice drive to start the 2nd half and tie the game at 17 with a 4 yard rushing TD. MSU would then score on a short TD run that was the culmination of a nice clock eating drive 24-17. After forcing LSU to punt and being pinned inside the 1 yd line, MSU would drive down again to kick FG and go ahead by 10. LSU would score on a quick drive with under 2 minutes to play, but MSU would end up running out the clock. Final Score MSU 27 LSU 24

Great Game to Coach Fordtuff! You were working me on offense, but the turnovers got to you.

Miss St now moves onto to play cross division foe Vanderbilt and Coach The Program.
