    LSU - 38
    NT- 0

LSU ran the ball all over the place with 4 running backs getting over 7 carries each. Kenny Hillard showed his starting skills off with 12 carries for 109 yards. The Spencer Ware added 11 for 100 yards 2 TD the Alfred Blue had 13 carries for 84 yards. LSU new power run game offense looked solid as the QB's were forced to throw only 6 times in the game for 63 yards. Overall LSU dominated the clock leading this game to end in record time as we just chewed the clock. Watch out SEC Power run game in the house

An FCS tune up to start the season at home. Despite running the ball at will, sloppy play from the offense lead to 3 first half turnovers but that was taken care of at half time and the offense started to roll in the 3rd quarter. To avoid injury, the 2nd string offense and defense played after the first offensive possession of the second half. Back up Chris Thompson had a big day rushing for 178 yards on 9 carries with 2 TD's.
Once again another FCS home game next week as Savannah St. comes into town. This will be the final touch-up game before we get into conference play the following week against Wake Forest.

Ohio State opened up against Miami (Ohio) at the 'Shoe. The Buckeyes started a little slow failing to put the ball in the end zone on their first two drives, settling for field goals. Two turnovers in the first half for Braxton Miller including a fumble that gave Miami great field position that led to a Touchdown. Ohio State picked it up in the second half as they moved the ball consistently which helped set up RB Carlos Hyde to pick up all four Touchdowns for the Buckeyes. Miami was able to connect a couple big plays including a 74 yard Touchdown throw. The Buckeyes have a few things to address but looked good to start. Ohio State will host UCF next week.
(Side Note) Senior RB Jordan Hall will miss 7 weeks due to a shoulder injury.
    Braxton Miller: 18/25 194 Yds 1 Int
Carlos Hyde: 16 Att 68 Yds 4 TD
Jake Stoneburner: 7 Rec 87 Yds

RB Michael Holmes carried teh load with 97yds 2TD. VT gets Bowling Green next before they start ACC play.

Eddie Lacy and Alabama's rushing attack was too much for Michigan to handle tonight in Ann Arbor. Alabama opened the game by driving down to Michigan territory, but then stalled on the Michigan 1 yard line and was held to a field goal. Michigan responded very quickly with a huge option run by Denard Robinson that broke for 62 yards and the go-ahead score. Alabama responded with another methodical drive that resulted in a 15 yard TD run by Eddie Lacy right up the middle. Michigan drove down the field but a stuffed option put the Wolverines just out of field goal position and their kicker just didnt have the leg strength to put up any points. AJ McCarron then made a costly mistake in Michigan territory throwing an interception. The favor was returned quickly, however as Denard threw a pick of his own two plays later. Alabama's redzone offense continued to struggle as they were held to yet another short field goal, bringing the score to 13-7. Michigans offense caught fire for the next drive, running a perfect two-minute drill and scoring with ease taking the lead right before halftime, 14-13.
The third quarter was all Alabama, as they received the kickoff and took the ball right down the field, scoring a TD on a 4 yard option run of their own. Michigan responded by driving down the field, but then a very costly and unfortunate fumble really turned the momentum in Alabama's favor, and they never relenquished the lead, scoring another huge 80 yd TD run two plays later and then holding Michigan scoreless for the remainder of the game. The real key to victory was Alabama's advantage in time of possession, 17:47 to 10:13.
    STATS:
    BAMA:
Eddie Lacy 28 ATT 227 YDS 2 TD
    Mich:
    Denard Robinson 11 for 21 175 YDS 0 TD 1 INT 7 RUSH 101 YDS 1 TD.
Good Game Big Suge Knight best of luck the rest of the way.

It was opening day for the Cornhuskers of Licoln, NE. The outcome was what the fans were looking for, but the process was not pretty. The Huskers started off very flat as the new offense from Coach Legacy showed its pace. It also doesn't help that on the Cornhuskers first drive saw their two best weapons go down with injuries. Rex Burkhead went down on the third play with a hip pointer but returned after two quarters. It was the 9 week injury from Taylor Martinez.... The team saw QB Brion Carnes take the reins in his first game and led Nebraska to the victory with help from the defense that had 2 turnovers and key stops in the 2nd half. Carnes finished the day with 240 passing yards, 1 passing TD and 114 yards rushing. Cornhuskers head to UCLA next week.

This game didn't start out great for the home bulldawgs as R. Johnson of Buffalo took a pass 86 yards on the 3rd play of the game for an opening score. After that, however, the D settled down. They would go on to have two pick sixes on the day. One from Brandon Smith for 63 yards and one from Damian Swann of 49 yards.
The offense was steady mixing in the run and pass. The two freshman running backs had solid days and Todd Gurley had his first two touchdowns of his young career. Good tuneup game for the dawgs as they now open conference play this week against Arkansas who took a loss to Florida last week.

This game could've been much worse. It was 35-0 at the half, so I had accelerated clock and my back ups in the entire second half. I ran the ball 32 times for 220 yards but also made a couple big passes as O'Brien was 8/10 for 151 yards and 2 TD's and no picks. Most of the rushing yards went to my back up, White, as he had a 96 yard TD run and ended up 151 yards on 11 carries. Defensively, I had 6 sacks and forced 3 turnovers, so the game pretty much went as expected.

After their week one loss to the Bama Crimson Tide, Michigan welcomed Air Force and its option run attack to the Big House. The Michigan defense held Air Force to 121 yards of total offense en route the 14 point victory by the score of 21 - 7. Denard Robinson accounted for all three of Michigan's scores including 4 yard TD run in the first quarter. Roy Roundtree had five receptions for 124 yards and a score on a 42 yarder to end the first half. Next week Michigan hosts the Minutemen of UMass to Ann Arbor.

Alabama rolls over Kentucky this week in a game that seemed to be over before it started. Alabama's offensive line was the key to the game as AJ McCarron had all day to throw the ball and the Bama running backs had huge lanes to run through all game long. The backups even came in and played well, with TJ Yeldon running the ball tough inside and even 3rd string HB Dee Hart had a TD on the day. The Alabama defense gave Maxwell Smith a tough time throwing the ball and the Kentucky offense could never really get moving. Alabama will have to prepare themselves for games that will be much tougher than this one was. Eddie Lacy was the player of the game, going over 100 yards, but the whole offense really looked good.

The Buckeyes had their way at home against UCF. The Knights were just out matched every where on the field as Ohio State had little problems moving the football. The speed Ohio State has at receiver was the biggest mismatch of all, as the UCF secondary was torched up and down the field, leaving great pressure on the front seven to stop Braxton Miller. The starters were pulled after 3 quarters and proceeded to play conservative and let the clock burn. Ohio State will host Cal next week in Columbus.

The Hokies again started out slow and had trouble finding a running game as the RB's combined for only 39yds. Logan Thomas was able to bail out the offense with 371yds 4TD in the air completing several deep balls to Marcus Davis. Thomas did throw 3 ints which has plagued him in this young season. After going down early the defense stepped up shutting out BG the last 3 qtrs.

The Hokies found their running game as Michael Holmes had a career day with 207yds 1TD. Logan Thomas kept the offense balkace with 243yds 3 TD, but again threw 3ints. If the Va Tech offense can take care of teh ball they will be tough to stop. The defense played the run well, but is still giving up junks in the air.

    Florida State Savannah St.
    63-10 Noles
The Noles take another FCS team behind the wood shed in Tallahassee. Due to the score, our offense was forced to take a knee around the goal-line for the final 8 minutes of the game. 4 touchdowns of over 50 yards, and a total of 332 rushing yards, to Savannah State's 0 was the most impressive part of the win. More importantly, no major injuries as the tune ups are over and we welcome in our first conference opponent, Wake Forest.
Game Note: True Freshman TE Christo Kourtzidis had 2 catches for 89 yards and a TD

LSU dominated this game via the ground rushing for over 400 yards with 4 backs going over the 100 yard mark. We can not play FCS schools anymore this was retarded.

Ohio State hosted California in week 3, which presented the Buckeyes a tougher challenge than what was expected. Cal defended the run game very well, holding the Buckeyes to 106 yards on 36 carries. Ohio State was able to make the plays when they needed them as Braxton Miller had both Ohio State Touchdowns, one rushing and one throwing. The defense shut down Cal most of the game limiting there two biggest play makers Isi Sofeli and Keenan Allen. Ohio State will host UAB next week.

Florida lays the smack down on Arkansas
Florida rolled into Fayetteville feeling like the better team, and left knowing it following a 35-19 win in a rainstorm. Florida used a ball control offense to keep momentum in their favor. HB Mike Gillislee picked up 92 yards and a TD on 9 carries before going down with a shoulder strain and being pronounced out for a week. Mack Brown came in and added 21 carries for 130 yards and 2 TDs. QB Jeff Driskel was efficient in the passing game, going 14/19 for 219 yards and 2 scores. The D also contributed to the success, posting 3 interceptions and 3 sacks on the day. Moving to 1-0 in conference play, Florida's next game is a trip to Knoxville to play the Volunteers.

Florida Escapes Knoxville with a 14-7 Win
In their second game in the pouring rain (must be a slow moving front!), the Gators shook off the cobwebs to hold on to 14-7 win against the Volunteers. The defense played tough the entire first half, and needed to with QB Jeff Driskel throwing 3 picks on the day. Mike Gillislee returned from his injury to start for the Gators and finished with 91 yards and a TD on 26 carries. Driskel continued to make poor choices all day, and threw interceptions in the red zone and missed receivers on other plays. He finished the day a dismal 11/21 for 170 and 0 TDs. Clinging to their 14-0 hafltime lead, Tennessee mounted a comeback when TE Mychal Rivera somehow escaped man coverage and took a pass 32 yards to the house with 1:04 left in the game. Florida recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock to preserve the win. Week 3 produces a bye for the Gators before they play their third straight SEC road game against Kentucky.

Alabama Wins a Shootout Against Arkansas 42-30
Although Tyler Wilson and the Arkansas passing attack put up over 400 yards on the Alabama secondary, the Crimson Tide offense is what made the difference in this game as they were very effective in almost anything they wanted to do. The player of the game was Eddie Lacy, who ran for 3 TDs and over 100 yards, but AJ McCarron certainly had a solid day throwing the ball from the pocket and even scrambling for a few yards when necesarry. The Alabama defense was tested against a great Arkansas QB and their talented receiving group, and they need to improve as the season moves forward. It was not a close game in the first half, but Arkansas made it interesting when they began to run a hurry-up offense and the receivers were burning the Bama secondary on any play against any coverage. All in all, Alabama's ability to run the ball became very important for the last few posessions as they worked the clock and came away with a W.
