Cleveland Browns (A) vs Philadelphia Eagles (H)

    Final: 21 to 10

The Cleveland Browns came out with a gameplan of ball control that quickly evaporated in the wake of a savage Eagles front 7 confronting a porous Cleveland offensive line. Despite a runaway 62 yard TD by Isaiah Crowell on Cleveland's first drive, the Browns would not find the end zone again until the 4th quarter. Ending the day with just over 100 yards on 18 carries, Crowell was the victim of consistent pressure and tackles behind the line of scrimmage despite the favorable YPC.

Rookie QB Cody Kessler found himself taking a beating, forcing several passes for interceptions and taking a few sacks along the way. As the 4th quarter wrapped up, the Browns dialed up a short pass attack that caught the Eagles offguard and generated YAC with Pryor and Coleman. New acquisition Kelvin Benjamin produced little yards but made huge 3rd down conversions with expert route running. By the time the Eagles corrected, the Browns were already 2 scores ahead with 8 minutes left.

A predictable Eagles offense was their undoing, allowing rookie defensive end Ogbah to get his first career sack and behemoth DT Danny Shelton to add 2 more. Carson Wentz was brutalized most of the game due to a mix of heavy blitzing and poor pass protection, resulting in 3 interceptions and a completion percentage under 50%.
