Bengals win shootout in Cincy
Bengals get the win at home after a their first loss of the season. Cincy edges out New England 45-33. There was plenty of offense in this one as neither defense could stop the others quarterback. The first quarter was nothing but scoring as New England would strike first with an 8 yard run by Ridley after a nice drive by Brady. The Bengals special teams would answer with a 104 yard kick return by Ben Tate to even the score. After a Ridley turnover, Dalton would capitalize with a nice throw to Sanu how would run in for the TD. The Patriots would answer back with a 47 yard FG. Green-Ellis would run the ball in for another Bengal score to go up 21-10 after the first quarter. The second quarter would be a little more tame with both teams kicking field goals and each scoring a touchdown to end the half. The second half would be a little boring compared to the first. A couple of long drives and punts by both teams in the third would end with Green-Ellis netting a one yard TD and Ridley punching one in from 2 yards for the Patriots. In one last bit of fireworks, Dalton would find Sanu again for 89 yards for the game clinching TD. New England put up a fight near the end orchestrating a nice drive that saw Brady hit Edelman 4 yards out for the TD. They would try a two point conversion but it would not succeed. The Bengals would run the clock out from there to win the game.
Dalton 12-16 337 3 TDs
Green-Ellis 20 carries 81 yards 2 TDs
Sanu 3 128 yards 2 TDs
Iloka 7 tackles 2 INTs
Rams pick off D. Dixon to seal the win! In a game where MJD was running wild the Rams were able to get the W at home against the visiting Jags. Bradford connected and drove the Rams up and down the field when the pressure was on to edge out the Duck Dixon! Solid game, always a pleasure playing the Butcher.
