Bills Edge Dolphins 33-27 No matter the records, one thing is always certain, its going to be a tough game. Things were no different this week as the Bills, who are in a battle for a wildcard, just had enough to beat the Dolphins . The Bills won the toss and elected to kick off. On their first drive the Dolphins couldnt get anything going and were forced to punt. After each team was forced to punt, the Bills struck first on a 14 yard TD pass to Boldin and a 7-0 lead. After forcing another Dolphin punt, Buffalo was able to tack on a FG for a 10-0 lead with 7 minutes left in the half. The Bills had all the momentum as Miami could get nothing going offensively, until a 30 yard FG by the Dolphins cut the lead to 10-3 with just under two minutes left. The Bills got the ball to start the second half and their coaching staff just planned to get into the half holding the lead. On first down they seemed to have a great play call to do just that coming out in 5 wide making the Dolphins think they were going to be aggressive. EJ was confident at the LOS as the corner was 7 yards off his intended target on a short pass call. EJ dropped back ignoring the rest of his reads and let it rip only to see J. Taylor bee-line towards the ball, picking it off and tying the game. Buffalo just squandered momentum and with barely a minute left looked to limp into half, but the Dolphins had all 3 timeouts left and after to unsuccesful runs they decided to put the ball in Manuels hands and he threw into triple coverage for his second pick of the game. The Bills D held the Dolphins to a FG and after a disasterous minute of football the Bills trailed 13-10 at half. EJ Manuel went into the locker room head held high and really impressed the coaching staff with his composure after unraveling at the end of the half. To start the 3rd quarter he lead the Bills down the field, completing a 57 yard pass to Riley Cooper to setup first and goal. CJ Spiller would return the lead to the Bills on a 4 yard TD run 17-13. The Dolphins were in need of a big play as the Buffalo D had controlled the game to this point. On an amazing call, Mike wallace went 54 yards on an end around to reclaim the lead for Miami 20-17. The Dolphins D then forced a Buffalo FG at the end of the quarter and the teams were all tied up at 20 going into the 4th. After forcing a Miami punt, Buffalo again drove down the field, but the Dolphin D held again forcing another FG, giving the Bills a 23-20 advantage. Buffalo was able to force another punt on the next possesion, getting the ball back with just under 5 minutes left holding a 3 point lead. Knowing Miami was needing a stop and was going to be aggressive on 1st down, Buffalo put the ball in Manuels hands and he found Stevie Johnson who broke a tackle the raced 65 yards for a TD and a 30-20 Buffalo lead. Tannehill had no quit in him as he lead the Dolphins, who had less than 170 yards to this point, down the field for a TD with just under 2 minutes left cutting the lead to 30-27. The Dolphins opted for the onside kick which was recovered by Robert Woods. Buffalo stayed conservative with 3 straight runs, forcing the Dolphins to use all 3 of their time outs. A tough decision loomed, go for the long FG or pin them deep, but Buffalo had no interest in a possible third OT of the season and succesfully made tge FG going up 33-27. The Buffalo coaching staff was concerned with how the Dolphins spread them out and attacked the drive before, but they were able to keep everything underneath them, and Tannehill forcing pressure to make a play ended up throwing a pick sealing the win for the Bills. EJ Manuel even though he had that bad minute and a half played very well throwing for over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns. Looking at the stats from the game, it goes to show what a great job Cgreen214 did never quitting and finding ways to keep his team in the game. Great game man, both my games with you this year were really fun and enjoyable. I like playing those chess match stlye games. Good luck the rest of the year and cant wait to see you again next year bud.
Broncos win in San Diego 14-10 The Broncos traveled to San Diego to face there divisional rival the Chargers in a game that Denver needed to win to keep there playoff hopes alive. This game was very defensive as neither offense could sustain a drive until the Broncos struck first in the second quarter as Demaryius Thomas got behind his defender and Osweiler placed a beautiful pass to the endzone and Thomas was able to run under it for the TD. San Diego responded quickly as they tied it back up on there next drive as Rashad Jennings scampered for a TD to make it 7-7 at the half. The second half was just about the same as the first both defense's were playing great and shutting down the offense's but the Chargers defense made a grave mistake and left Demaryius Thomas wide open and Osweiler was astounded at how wide open he was and hit him in stride and DT88 did the rest out running two defenders for his 2nd TD of the game. Again San Diego's next drive got them in scoring range but this time the Broncos defense was able to hold them out of the endzone and held them to just 3. The play of the game came late in the 4th as San Diego was driving to potentially take the lead they were faced with a 4th and inches inside Bronco territory and heres the play call "Rivers under center I formation...heres the snap Bolden gets the hand off and WOW Terrance Knighton slings his blocker off him and makes the stop short of the first down....FIRST DOWN BRONCOS!!!" After that the Broncos offensive line man handled the Chargers and Ball, Blount, and Hillman were able to keep the chains moving on the ground and eating up the rest of the game clock. The Philadelphia Eagles dominate their rival Giants and improve to 8-4 on the year. The Eagles defense caused 10 turnovers on the day and gave their offense great field position all day and it lead to a season high 48 points. Nick Foles started the game off hot and was 14/17 for 198 yards 2 Tds and 1 Int before getting hurt late in the first half. It turned out Foles dislocated his shoulder but will not miss any time but had to sit out the rest of the game. Matt Barkley came in and was very productive for the rest of the game and finished 7/12 for 111 yards and 2 Tds and 0 Ints. LeSean McCoy had one of his better games of the year and piled up 131 yards and a TD. The lone bright spot for the Giants was Victor Cruz who pulled in 9 balls for 121 yards and a TD. The Eagles improve to 9-4 on the year and seem to be hitting their stride with back to back blowout wins over division rivals. Philly wasted little time jumping on the Cowboys, on their first drive Foles seen DeSean Jackson run right past the coverage and hit him deep for a 62 yard TD. Bad turned to worse when Dwayne Harris took a big hit from Connor Barwin on the kickoff and fumbled which was picked up by the Eagles. Two plays later and the Eagles were in the endzone again when Foles found Celek open for a 14 yard TD. On the next drive DeMarco Murray would rip off a 53 yard run before getting caught from behind. The Cowboys couldn't do much with the good field position and had to settle for a short FG. Early in the 2nd quarter the Eagles broke this game open when Jeremy Maclin caught an 87 yard TD after getting behind the coverage giving them a 21-3 lead. Philly would add a FG as time expired in the half and it was 24-3 at the half. Neither team got much going at the start of the 2nd half. Towards the end of the 3rd quarter the Cowboys were in scoring position when Romo found Dwayne Harris open going towards the endzone, after he broke a tackle Earl Wolfe laid a huge hit on him and the ball popped out right into the hands of Bradley Fletcher who took off towards the endzone but ran out of gas and was tackled by Doug Free at the 1 yard line. The Cowboys defense stepped up and forced a FG. In the 4th quarter the Eagles would add a FG and a short Bryce Brown TD making the final score 37-3. Browns dominate Colts at home, run win streak to 9 games ! Colts 7 Browns 56 Two playoff contenders squared off in this game with one team coming out clearly on top with all of the momentum going into the final few weeks of the season. Cleveland started the game off with a long drive resulting in a Javonti Fields touchdown run , and then followed up with a FG after a costly turnover in the Indianapolis side of the field. The Colts then answered back on the next play with a 80 yard touchdown by T.Y. Hilton off of a quick screen , from that point on it was pretty much all Cleveland. The Browns dominated the second quarter and extended the lead to 37-7 at halftime. The second half was mostly conservative offense from the Browns and stonewalling defense, resulting in a 56-7 final score. The Browns defense on the day allowed only 197 total yards and 5 first downs, while forcing 10 turnovers. Good game BrewBomber , good luck rest of the season. IN the game no one cares aboutThe Jag Got Back on there winning ways by Beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 38 to 28 with a game to see who gets a lower pick .. The steelers Jumped out fast first causing a fumble and returning it 30 yards to Paydirt and next throwing a 51 yard bomb to rookie Beckwith but that was all of the scoring they did until the game was out of reach as the Jags went on a 38 point scoring run till they gave up 14 more in Garbage time... Bills defeat Cowboys 34-0 Buffalo held serve in the playoff race, and took care of Dallas 34-0. In a game where the Cowboys couldn't get out of their own way with turnovers and penalties, Buffalo capitalized early and coasted to a victory. Dallas won the toss and elected to receive and on their first drive was forced to punt. EJ Manuel and the Bills offense was effecient early, running well and completing short passes as they worked the ball down the field on a drive capped off by a 1 yard TD pass to Stevie Johnson for a 7-0 lead. Romo threw a pick on the next drive for the Cowboys and Buffalo was able to tack on a FG for a 10-0 lead. The Cowboys turned the ball over again on the next drive via a fumble, but the Bills could once again muster only a FG for a 13-0 lead. After another Romo interception on the following drive, the Bills found the endzone on a 1 yard run by Stevie Johnson to go ahead 20-0. The Cowboys coaching staff then turned to Kyle Orton, who fared no better, throwing a pick to Duke Williams who had already picked off Romo twice. Up 20-0 and receiving the second half kickoff, the Bills didnt wanna take any unnessecary risks and let the Cowboys in the game, until Dallas showed their aggression calling a timeout after a second down stop in an attempt to get the ball back. The Bills sensed and aggressive defensive play call coming and guessed right as EJ Manuel found Robert Woods in single coverage with no one over the top. Woods got away from his defender and scored on a 50 yard TD pass to extend the lead to 27-0. Sloppy play again bit the Cowboys on their next possesion as Demarco Murray, whom later broke his ribs, was punished on an outside run losing the ball on Nigel Bradham picked it up for a scoop and score and a 34-0 lead. In the second half Buffalos defense controlled the game, and their offense was able to run the clock out and get the backups some playing time. Buffalo host BrewBomber and the Colts next week in what could be a pivotal matchup in the playoff race. GG PIG BOMB best of luck to you going forward.
Vikings explode against Chiefs Coast to 35-28 victory Taking on the one-loss Chiefs turned out to be a game of keep-away for the Vikings. Exploding out to an early 35-7 lead, the Vikings leaned on their ground game to put away the Chiefs. Rookie sensation Bryant Mason carried the rock 20 times for 125 yards and a score. With Graham Steven-Baker out, the Vikings employed a two-QB system of Christian Ponder and Pat White for a combined 18/30, 241 yards and 3 scores against 2 INTs. The Chiefs mounted a furious comeback but couldn't overcome two costly turnovers in the redzone and going 2 for 9 on third downs. GG Mcwoods06
Vikings just plain out coach Packers Green Bay suffers delusions of adequacy With the score much closer than the usual margin between long-time adversaries (rivalry implies some measure of equality) Cheez and Baron, Green Bay could be suffering deplorable delusions of adequacy in the game of football and life. "It's really quite sad," Baron said after the game. "I mean, yea they were within 7 when the final gun sounded but the game was never really in doubt." Noting Green Bay's pitiful 65 yards rushing as well as their laughable 5-16 on 3rd downs, Baron said he simply had his opponent's gameplan "locked up." "It's not a matchup that we circle on our calendars, really," Baron said. "And that's tragic, given the usual importance of Vikings vs. Packers. But now? Well, if comedy is tragedy plus time, just give this one time." Perhaps the only shocker in this game (the outcome sure wasn't) was Pat White outperforming Christian Ponder through the air. White had 128 yards and a score off 10/12 passing while Ponder was just at 50% with 8/16 for 119 yards, a score and an INT. GG Cheez
Vikings Troll Bears, 27-0 Injure Cutler, Blindside Rookie QB Whiteside A mere 9 yards separated the Vikings rushing total from the entire offensive output of the Bears in this one. After injuring Cutler, rookie QB Whiteside was thrown to the dogs as JPP attempted to eat his soul. With their offense failing to accomplish anything of note, a merely serviceable day by the offense was all that was needed. "I mean our defense dropped them down an elevator shaft, I'd say at least a couple times," Baron said after the game. GG Roggie
Ponder kept GB in the game as long as he could haha. Also, FWIW, Green Bay has gone on a bit of a winning streak since this game. They are back up to .500 GG Baron.
Detroit's D outscores its Offense Porous OL for Vikings no matter Despite allowing 7 sacks and an injury to just-returned QB Graham Steven-Baker, the Vikings still steam-rolled the Lions to lockup the NFC North with a perfect 6-0 division record. However it was not all unicorn farts and candy for the Vikings as rookie QB, making his first start in over a month, suffered a pinched nerve in his neck. While team doctors said he likely could have returned, the Vikings kept him out for the rest of the game. Fortunately, GSB had a rushing touchdown before exiting and was 10/15 passing for 102 yards. But it was the defense that really shined, holding the Lions to 38 yards rushing and forcing 4 takeaways, including 3 INTs from the Lions. GG Masler
Wild One In Nashville The first quarter could not have gone any more perfect for the Titans, on the first play of the game RB Louis Kendrick broke off a 50+ yard run and a few plays later Jake Locker hit Kendall Wright in the back of the endzone to go up 7-0, an early interception on a Matt Scott pass gave Tennessee great field position when Locker executed play action beautifully and hit WR Brice Butler for a 55 yard touchdown. Houston had another quick series and Tennessee's offense was moving again, this drive was capped off on a Kendall Wright end around to go up 21-0. Houston battled back however, even after a missed field goal to end the first. RB Arian Foster took awhile to get going but he began to slowly eat up the Titan defense. Houston went on a 10+ play drive of their own and found the endzone on a 4th & goal when FB La'Ron McClain blasted his way into the endzone. Tennessee's offense began to sputter mightily and Houston could smell it. The Texans had two opportunities to pull within 7 before half but a few penalties ended one drive and then an interception in the endzone before half killed the other as Houston trailed 21-7 at the break. The 3rd quarter saw nothing but Arian Foster run crazy. Foster carried this team back into the game. On a huge 3rd down Andre Johnson went full beast mode and caught a nasty jump ball over Jason McCourty. Houston then tore apart the middle with Nuk Hopkins and the biggest tight end I've ever seen Richard Gordon, looks like a lineman carrying 3-4 defenders down field. Houston closed the game late in the 3rd quarter 21-14 and after another blundered Titan offensive possession, Houston came close to tying the game after Foster broke off a 52 yard run but the Titan defense held and forced a field goal to hold on to a slimmer lead 21-17. Jake Locker pulled the lead out of his ass and Louis Kendrick got back to his successful running ways and moved Houston down the field. The refs must have been bored through the first 3 quarters but they made up for it with what seemed like a holding call every other play for both teams in the 4th quarter. Tennessee got pretty deep in Houston territory but settled on a Dan Carpenter field goal to once again lead by 7, 24-17 with a little over 7 minutes left in the quarter. Houston marched down the field with ease, something they regularly after the 1st quarter. Nuk Hopkins, Garrett Graham & Darius Heyward-Bey blew up the Tennessee secondary and the drive was capped off with another Arian Foster touchdown run. The two squads then traded scores on huge plays for Houston TE Garrett Graham & then WR Bryce Butler for Tennessee to tie the game at 31 late in the game. Houston's next drive seemed like they were marching for victory as the clock ticked down and they were in field goal position, that's when Arian Foster got a case of fumbleitis. Foster took a hand off up the middle and met DT Mike Martin in mid-air and fumbled, recovered by Tennessee. The opportunity was too big for Jake Locker at the time and the Titans again failed to move the football. The next drive, Houston again was marching for a field goal and the clock ticked under a minute, Foster took a toss to the outside when he met rookie MLB Oristies Fuqua (we pronounce that as FuckYa in Tennessee)... Foster fumbled once again that was recovered by Tennessee. The Titans didn't go very far once again and the punt gave Houston yet ANOTHER chance with 20 something seconds left to win the ball game.. but I'm sure ya'll know the story, Foster got blasted once again and handed it over to Tennessee. The Titans threw a hail mary at the end of the game and a Jake Locker rocket went over every single Houston defender and into the vicinity of THREE..... THREE wide open Titan receivers in the endzone but neither one of them came down with it. To overtime we go... Tennessee received the kick in overtime and marched down the field after a huge 3rd down conversion to Bryce Butler, a few more completions to Justin Hunter and Kendall Wright moved Tennessee further down field. The Titan crowd rose to it's feet and Locker tossed a quick slant over the middle to Kendall Wright to seal the victory over division rival Houston 37-31. crazy ass game Sgt Jowers
Colts 34 Panthers 7 The Colts only outgained the Panthers by 65 yards, but the story of this one was interceptions. Indy had 3 and didn't turn it over at all. Outside of a 57 yard run by Cam, the Panther running game was held to 57 yards. Colts had 170 yards on the ground and 133 through the air. Richardson had 84 yards and Armond Smith had 57 on 10 carries. TE Dwayne was left open much of the game and had 5 catches for 59 yards. Greg Olson had 9 catches for 105 yds for the Panthers. Landry, Phillips and Routt all had picks.
