The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the year as their defense dominated the Buccaneers. Phillys defense forced 6 turnovers on the day with 5 interceptions of Mike Glennon. The Eagles defensive line accounted for 4 sacks and 2 interceptions and dominated the Tampa Bay offensive line for most of the day. Nick Foles was very efficient on the day and went 21/26 for 263 yards with 2 TDs and 0 Ints. DeSean Jackson had a big day with 8 catches for 111 yards and 1 TD. Justin Houston got his first sack of year and is starting to earn the money the Eagles paid him in the offseason. Next week the Eagles stay on the road and take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
Carolina 31 Tampa 13 Carolina took a trip down to Florida to take on divisional rival Tampa Bay. Carolina jumped out to an early 17-0 lead but Tampa fought back right before the half and cut the lead down to 7 at the half. Tampa got the ball after the half but on there 3rd down play Freeman checked down to his FB who got blasted by Luke Kuechly and fumbled the ball which Charles Godfrey recovered and took it back to the house to make it 24-10 Carolina. Tampa would tack on a field goal which was answered by a Panthers touchdown to make it 31-13. Next up for Carolina is a visit from the Denver Broncos. Packers tame Lions Green Bay 28 Detroit 17 Detroit swept the season series from the Packers last year, and it's one of the reasons I point to when looking back at why the Packers missed the playoffs last year. Both teams were entering the games at 1-1, with losses in week two, and the knowledge that a win will tie them with the Vikings early on in the division race. It was the Lions who dominated play early on, scoring the game's first 10 points in the first quarter. Lacy and Cobb were both taken out early for the Packers as well due to injury. But the combination of Stafford's INT demons and Johnathan Franklin's big day in relief surged the Packers in front before half. Franklin would rush for over 150 yards in relief of Lacy before leaving the game in the 3rd with a broken collarbone. Stafford would throw 3 picks in the second quarter, one run back for a touchdown and another run back inside the redzone that set up another score giving Green Bay a 21-10 at the break. Green Bay started the second half with the ball, and Franklin delivered the dagger early with another long run. The Lions would score a TD with under a minute left to cut the deficit to 11, but it was too little too late. good game Masler .
Heck of a game Cgreen214 and it wasnt for the 2nd half INTs, you were outplaying me the entire game. It was a tale of two halves as Miami played a smart, calculated game both offensively and defensively. Then, in the 2nd half, the 49ers D, did what they do, create chaos. Stat of the Game: 6 turnovers for Miami to 3 by SF When it was over: When Kaepernick hit Crabtree on a slant for TD to put SF up 14 with 3 minutes left Player of the Game: Backup LE DeMarcus Mahone... filling in for injured str LE Ray McDonald, Mahone racked up 7 tackles and 2 sacks.
Titans: 31 Jets (CPU): 13 The game started a little slow but Geno Smith's arm provided the spark for Tennessee. Smith tossed 2 first half interceptions which led to Titan points. Tennessee was up 17-0 at half and never really looked back. The Jets trailed 17-7 at one point and even looked like they could trim it 17-14 until Geno hit Geno and Bernard Pollard scooped the fumble and took it to the house to put Tennessee up 24-7. Both squads got garbage time touchdowns as Tennessee heads to the Bye Week 3-0, and like most teams will come out all on cold streaks looking like shit in Week 5. Carolina 52 Denver(CPU) 20 This week the Panthers took on the Denver Broncos at Bank of America Stadium and man was Denver jet lagged. Denver found themselves down 21-0 very quick after newly acquired WR Greg Childs caught a touchdown followed by back to back Quayshon Bruce TDs. Denver got a field goal then got a touchdown right before the half but with just under 30 seconds to go Cam checked down to rookie RB Marquel Townsend on a HB Screen and Townsend did the rest taking it all the way for the touchdown. In the 2nd half the Panthers offense continued to fire on all cylinders and stretched out there lead and then at the start of the 4th the entire first string was subbed out and the 2nd string finished out the game to seal the blowout 52-20. Next up for Carolina is the Philadelphia Eagles which will be a very tough matchup. The Jags gets into the winning column by blanking the Chargers..... This had it all minus the scoring both team found it hard to move the ball but the team that wins is the team who doesn't turn over the ball and the Jaguars did that for a change, After giving up 30 plus two weeks in a row the defense finally got off the bus and played some football this week and not giving up any points and forcing 7 int's .. Now going into a bye week the team get a chance to heal but losing newly acquired QB Sam Bradford who dislocated his ankle in the 2nd quarter will have to go to Matt Mcgloin till he come back ...Bummer
Arizona Escapes Chicago With Victory In a game that shouldn't have been close the Chicago Bears took advantage of Arizona's mistakes. Three picks were thrown by Thad Lewis and the way the Cardinal defense dropped interceptions Qualier should have had more then one. The only thing going for Arizona was RBs Andre Ellington and Jonathan Stewart who combines for almost 200 yards and 3 TDs. With the game on the line CB Patrick Peterson ended with the first of what should have been many picks. 1st Quarter: Started out splendid for the Bears. On the third play of the game DT Dan Williams forced the fumble and Calais Campbell scooped it up around the 4 yard line. Two plays later Jonathan Stewart would waltz in for his first of two TDs. The TD would be short lived once Quaglier rolled out of the pressure and found Thompson open for the 41 yard TD pass. Once Thompson caught it the field was wide open after great down the field blocking. 2nd Quarter: It was Arizona as it seemed the blow out was intimate. Their 17 points came from Stewarts 2nd TD on a 3rd and Goal from the 6, a 9 yard pass to Larry Fitzgerald, and a 39 yard chip shot from Gostkowski. During the scoring from Arizona, Chicago was able to see paydirt with an 18 yard rushing TD from Matt Forte. Halftime: 24 Arizona 14 Chicago; Arizona receives ball. 3rd Quarter: This was a bit more defensive from both teams as neither did much of anything on offense. The quarter also started Thad's interception spree. After stopping the Cards on their opening drive the Bears drove down just enough to for Gearin to kick a 48 yard FG. Later in the quarter Andre Ellington was able to get on the board with a 17 yard run. 4th Quarter: Thad's last pick almost cost Arizona the game but the defense prevailed by coming up with one on their own. Da Bears started off the quarter with an early TD pass from Quaglier to Bennett and two plays after a crucial interception Matt Forte was off to the races for a 68 yard TD run. With the offense extremely tired Andre Ellington and Jonathan Stewart did just enough to setup Gostkowski for the 49 yard game winner. Chicago had 14 seconds left but only came up with a desperate throw down field that ended in a pick. GG @Roggie!
TEXANS BEAT UP CHIEFS (CPU) Behind the arm of Jake Locker the Texans cruised in the first half then rode the legs of .... Andre Brown to the tune of a 41-10 victory. A. Foster went down in the first quarter with an injury that sidelined him for the rest of the game but A. Brown didn't miss a beat in the full time role. Chief's QB Ryan Fitzpatrick struggled to find open receivers and wen't 3 and out often; Jamal Charles also struggled with the inconsistency of the QB play. Brain Cushing lead the charge for the Texans sniffing out running lanes and playing excellent in zone coverage. Player of the game: Andre Brown (21 carries - 157 yards)
TEXANS TAKE DOWN RIVAL COLTS From the opening possession by the Colts; Indy looked methodical and fired up. Moving the ball down the field with ease on the legs of Trent Richardson and going up 7-0 the Texans' looked to be reeling. But coach Marvin Lewis rallied the troops and the offense answered the call... The defense also answered the call not allowing another Colts score until the 4th quarter. This was quite the feat considering the Colts opening drive and how tough these two teams have played in the past. QB Andrew Luck struggled in this one though and it really hurt his team, Luck was eventually benched in late 3rd quarter for the rookie B. Huval. Huval didn't fair much better as the colts continued to struggle, and when life was seen, a mental error erased all momentum with the likes of facemask, holding or pass interference calls. On the flip side the Texans continued to churn on the ground behind A. Foster & A. Brown totaling over 200 yards on the day. Hats off to the defensive unit however who totaled 2 sacks and 3 turnovers to really shape the game! Player of the Game : A. Foster PASSING: J. Locker 11/16 128 1 TD A. Luck 6/12 50 2 INT RUSHING: A. The Eagles stay unbeaten on the year and improve to 4-0 on the year with a win over the rival Giants. Both defenses came ready to play in this one and neither team moved the ball much most of the game. The Giants got on the board first when Frank Gore broke a tackle in the backfield and outran the rest of the Eagles defense for a 73 yard TD run. The Eagles would tie the game up early in the second quarter when Nick Foles hit DeSean Jackson on a short curl route and Jackson did the rest, weaving his way through the Giants defense for a 21 yard TD. The Giants didn't take long to answer back when old man Frank Gore would somehow break another long TD run, this one from 80 yards out giving the Giants a 14-7 lead. The Eagles would close out the half on a high note as Suisham would end the half with a short 26 yard FG making the score 14-10 at the half. Midway through 3rd quarter the Eagles pinned the Giants on the 1 yard line with a great punt by Ryan Malone. Instead of trying to run and get some room to breathe, they tried their luck through the air and it didn't turn out good as Mallet would be picked off by Kyle Wilson and he walked in to the endzone from 5 yards out giving the Eagles their first lead of the game 17-14. The Eagles would hold that lead into the 4th until the Giants tied the game on a short FG by Haushka with a little over 7 minutes left. With the game tied the Eagles knew they needed to put some points on the board and they put together a nice long drive that ended in a 1 yard TD by LeSean McCoy with 2:25 left in the game. The Giants tried to answer back with a drive of their own but around midfield they faced a 4th and very long after back to back sacks by Justin Houston and Fletcher Cox. Their Hail Mary attempt would fall incomplete and the Eagles would kneel out the rest of the clock and get their 4th victory of the year. Good Game Big Suge Knight I look forward to our next game. Steelers Beat Browns for First Time in 2 Seasons Cleveland, OH-- The Steelers go into Brown town and beat the Brownies 23-19, with Big Ben not throwing a single INT. There weren't any turnovers in this game and it was pretty clean for the most part. A few penalties cost the Browns some major yards and helped the Steelers to victory. The Browns were stopped in Steelers territory with under 2 minutes to go and down 7 points. On 4th and 6 the Browns decided to kick the FG and force the Steelers to go 3 and out and get the ball back. Well they did just that, however they ran out of time and couldn't get back into the endzone. This win allegedly made coach Danthraxxx announce his retirement on the XBOX ONE side. We will see if he follows through with his announcement. Player of the game goes to Ben Roethlisberger with 300+ yards 1TD and 0 INT
Bears @ Lions Bears 37 - Lions 17 The story of this game is the turnovers. The Bears won the turnover battle with an almost unheard of discrepancy in the NFL, forcing 8 turnovers and only giving away the ball once. Reserve corner Alex Reyna had a legendary day that could outshine some players' seasons with FIVE interceptions, returning one for a TD. Reyna is a guy who isn't even on the depth chart normally but was put in on a hunch at nickelback, and he rewarded his coach in unbelievable fashion. All 3 of Detroit's quarterbacks played in this game, and all 3 threw at least one INT. The Lions also lost 2 fumbles. Chicago's Quaglieri just played game manager, throwing the ball only 19 times, completing 10 with 2 TDs and one INT. The run game was filled with medicore runs and one big run by Joique Bell for a 43 yard TD up the gut. Detroit's defense did play solid, forcing 4 sacks. Ezekiel Ansah led the charge with 2 takedowns of Quaglieri. Calvin Johnson was also his normal stud self, catching 8 passes for 124 yards and a TD. The only player on offense for Chicago to really have made an impact was rookie WR Deric Thompson, going 4 for 61 with a TD. GG Masler
After a 4 game slide the Chargers finally win one (31-28) against the CPU Broncos after losing my first 3 against the CPU and one human opponent. I might not make the playoffs in the AFC West even against the CPU teams. My QB still struggles but i think this is might fault No Run game to speak of and i have little depth at the WR position. Here is to good things the rest of the way
Texans defeat the CPU Jets 27-24 behind the grind of Arian Foster and Andre Brown, with the Jets holding tough behind the arm of Geno Smith and Alex Smith. The two teams traded scores and punts throughout the game with Smith boys going into QB Robo mode through out the whole game. The Texans converted on all key positions to keep the Jets off the field which was very necessary in the second half. Player of the Game : Brian Hartline 6 catches 75 yards 1 TD.
Cards Take Advantage of Turnovers From the beginning the Cards defense set the tone with pick after pick but the Packers defense held on as long as they could. Aaron Rodgers had one of them days that nothing went right and when it did, it was due to WR Randall Cobb bailing him out. Arizona put up some points today but only were that position since the defense had to do everything. All in all it was a solid game and victory. 1st Quarter: Pretty quiet with only on score by Arizona. The 22 yard FG was setup from Aaron Rodger's first pick of the game. Arizona did what they could but only came out with three points. 2nd Quarter: This had the most scoring where both teams combined for 20 points. With the wind blowing behind their backs K Mason Crosby made the 49 yd FG look easy to open up the quarter. Arizona soon answered after a great drive down field. From four yrards out Andre Ellington got his first of two TDs of the game. Then at the end of the half Arizona was able to put up 10 points in less than six seconds. After a Patrick Peterson interception in the endzone, Ellington, Stewart, Floyd, and Fitz did just enough for Gostkowski to kick the 45 yd FG into the wind. A few seconds later Rodgers threw his third pick and Antoine Cason walked it in for the score. Halftime: Arizona 20 Green Bay 3 3rd Quarter: More devastation continued for Rodgers as he started out the half with yet another pick. Lucky for Rodgers is that his defense came to play stuffing the Arizona offense and holding them to another FG. With the game starting to get out of hand Arizona started to just pound the ball the rest of the way. 4th Quarter: This quarter showed a 'too little too late' scenario because Green Bay finally showed up offensively. Once Ellington got in for his second score of the day, Green Bay dominated the rest of the way. Crosby kicked a 55 yd FG and soon after Rodgers led the down he field to setup Eddie Lacy's 1 yard rushing TD. GG Cheez!
Atlanta wins a close one on the road in NY The Atlanta Falcons traveled to East Rutherford to face former rival owner Big Suge Knight New York Giants. Atlanta was hot all game on offense and displayed a balanced game. Falcons had the lead the whole game and in the beginning of the 4th they were up by 21 and decided to rest a few starters, that's when the opposing team came back. With less than a minute left the Giants had one last chance to tie the game, and could manage to cross the halfway mark. Matt Ryan takes a final knee and ends the game. The Falcons had 3 takeaways to 1 giveaway. GG Big Suge Knight

Browns open season with win against pig....errr CPU Cowboys Cleveland 24 Dallas 3 Coming off of a 12-4 season that but the Browns into the playoffs for the first time since 28 A.D. the Cleveland Browns wanted to make a statement ..... and that statement was that Pigbomb is a seasonal / playing CPU is a tad boring. The Cowboys kept things tight in the first half by cheese blitzing and running 5 wide most of the half, making it 3-3 going into the locker room. The second half was all Brownies though , led by Theo Babbich 336 yards on the day. The win did not come without cost though as the newest Brown Torrie Smith went down with injury and is expected to miss up to 5 more games.
Browns defense dominant vs Steelers , Big Ben improves to only 3 picks thrown Cleveland 33 Pittsburgh 14 The first game of the series between these rivals was a hard fought game as usual , with both defensive units playing well most of the game. The Browns gave second year back Javonti Fields his first career start in hopes to boost a stagnant running game from week one, and he delivered late in the second half on a stumbling run off tackle that went for 68 yards and a TD. The Browns backs combined for 144 yards and 2 TD's on the day, allowing the defense to stay fresh on the sidelines. The Steelers offense struggled to run the ball most of the day, forcing Big Ben into a lot of 3rd and long situations. In the end the lack of balance cost the Steelers and when they had to throw the Cleveland secondary was ready, forcing 3 interceptions and hitting the QB multiple times. Sorry for the mega late recap nellycuz , been beyond swamped this month. GG as always , see you next season. Carolina shuts out Detroit 48-0 Carolina traveled north to take on the Detroit Lions and their dynamic duo of Brandon Marshall and Megatron. The Panthers got the ball first and put together a solid drive that was capped off with a big play as Cam hooked up with Greg Childs for a touchdown. The Carolina offense played well scoring 21 points but the Carolina defense stepped up to the challenge of guarding arguably the two best receivers in the game and were able to score 21 points of there own all on pick 6's by rookie CB Sunday Carlson, SS Dawan Landry, and SS Robert Lester. The Detroit offense had no answers for the Panthers defense. The 2nd string played the entire 2nd half for Carolina to avoid injuries heading into the bye week.
