Love the new sliders. The gameplay felt really good and my defense didnt feel soo overpowering against the CPU offense. Was a very competitive game until the CPU went for it 4th and 30 on their own 3 after getting sacked 3 times calling HB screens that I read with the DE. Everything else seems fixed but you cant fix stupid lol

New England advances after an exciting wildcard game against Steelers
The Patriots first half of the season wasn't looking to promising as they were 4-3 and looking to just make a wildcard draw as the Bills looked like they would run away with the division as they were 6-1. 2nd half for the Bills was what the Patriots needed and all the Patriots had to do was win, and they did that. The Patriots rattled off 7 straight after week 11 which included 2 wins against the Bills and taking the division for the 2nd straight year with a 11-5 record. The Patriots hosted the 10-6 Steelers in this wildcard match up that was a snowy one as Foxborough got 13 inches of snow the night before. The fields were sloppy and players couldn't get much traction and were slipping all over the place which really hurt the passing game on both sides of the ball.

New England won the toss and elected to kick the ball. Big Ben Roethlisberger and Co. had no trouble moving the ball down the field on their first drive as he connected with rookie Hayden Wheatley on a couple passes and Le'Veon Bell had a couple nice runs. Once they got the ball inside the 5 yard line the Patriot defense stepped up with a HUGE goal line stop as Pittsburgh couldn't punch it in on 3 straight running plays and ended up kicking a 25 yard FG by Connor Barth. Down 0-3, New England had a 15 play drive that would eat up the rest of the 1st quarter and kill couple mins into the 2nd. Terrell Pryor and his offense couldn't really get things going on their first drive as the Steel Curtain showed up today. New England would stall their drive out and kick a 32 yard FG by Forbath tying it up at 3. Pittsburgh offense would come back onto the field and seem to drive down the field pretty easy but once again they stall after a time consuming 9 play drive and kick a 42 yard FG giving the Steelers the lead 6-3. New England would have a 3 and out and punt the ball back to the Steelers. Big Ben would throw a pick on his 1st pass attempt on the next drive, a pass that was intended to B. Beckwith and intercepted on the 1 yard line by L. Ryan. Terrell Pryor would throw 3 straight incomplete passes and would have to punt from their own 1 yard line. Big Ben would throw yet another interception as he tried to thread a needle to Moore and be picked off by L. Ryan for his second pick of the game, Ryan would run for a couple yards and end up fumbling the ball that was recovered by Pittsburgh. Moods would swing as the play would go under review and would be reversed as Ryan's knee was down and Patriots would get ball back. New England would have little time to score but ended up not putting any points on the board to end the 1st half with a score of 6-3 Steelers.

The New England Patriots would get the 2nd half kickoff would be a touchback and start at the 20. On the second play of the drive Terrell Pryor would be sacked by Jared Crick and forced the fumble that would be recovered by C. Heyward and tackled on New Englands 5 yard line. Not the way New England would want to start their first drive of the half. New England's defense would yet again step up in a HUGE way and have another goal line stop as L. Bell couldn't cross the plane and have to kick another FG from 21 yards out making the score 9-3. New England would get the ball back and look to start to get the ball rolling as they would have a nice drive and take it down in the 5 yard line but to have the drive stall out as Gronk dropped a 3rd down touchdown reception. Forbath kicked the 25 yard FG to close the gap and make it 9-6. Pittsburgh and New England would switch off 3 and outs and Pittsburgh would kick another FG from 49 yards to make it 12-6, Steelers. On the first play of the Patriots next drive would finally shine some light as Terrell Pryor would do a play action pass and hit Rob Gronkowski that Troy Polamalu would be too aggressive and miss the interception which would leave wide open field that Gronk would take it for 69 yards and a touchdown giving the Patriots the lead 13-12. The Steelers would have another nice drive that would stall out and end up kicking another FG from 31 yards that would end the 3rd quarter giving the Steelers the lead 15-13. That FG would be Barth's 5th FG of the day. New Englands next drive would be a short one as on the 2nd play Ridley would get destroyed S. Thomas in the trenches that would be recovered by L. Timmons. Pittsburgh would have a quick 3 and out and have a major blow to their offense as Big Ben got hurt trying to scramble and get sacked and fracture his elbow that would have him miss the rest of the game and season if they advance. New England and Pittsburgh would have a couple 3 and outs as both defense were just ridiculously good in this 4th quarter. Pittsburgh would kick their 6th FG because their offense would once again deflate once they crossed the 50 yard line with 2:16 left in the game giving Pittsburgh a 18-13 cushion. New England would need someone to step up and make a play, and on their 2nd play of the drive Terrell Pryor would do that as he saw Aaron Dobson get behind the defense and air out a throw that would go for 63 yards and take it down to the 2 yard line. That was obviously the biggest play of the game as the Patriots had a tough time moving the ball. Ridley would need 2 runs to punch it in, then the Patriots chose to go for a 2 pt conversion and would get it giving the Patriots the lead 21-18 with 1:13 seconds left in the game. M. Shearn would take the field and try to get the Steelers at least into FG position. He would hit Wheatley 2 passes in a row and then eventually the pressure would get to Shearn as he would throw 3 straight bad incomplete passes that were badly thrown and would cost the Steelers the game. The Patriots win a struggled offensive day 21-18. Now the Patriots will goto Houston(i think) and face their most hated rival The Texans. The Texans knocked the Patriots out of the playoffs last year and beat them in week 1 this year. POTG Rob Gronkowski.

    Skins - 48
    49ers - 42

Washington didn't have high hopes for this matchup. After finishing the season with the 2nd best record in the NFC they still had to travel across the country and into unfriendly territory for this divisional round game against San Francisco. The Washington coaches were racking their brains over how to gain an advantage over the 49ers loaded roster. They thought points would be hard earned in this one but it turned into a shootout instead.

Things started off disastrously for Washington when they called a man blitz on the 1st play from scrimmage only to have Marcus Lattimore get to the outside and run for an 80 yard TD. RG3 bailed out the defense on the Skins opening drive when he kept an option play and got around the defensive line and ran all the way down field for a 66 TD run to tie the game up 7-7.

Washington came out more conservative after giving up the big run on their first defensive snap and managed to contain Lattimore on his 1st down run. On 2nd down Lattimore took it again but got bottled up at the point of attack and got popped and fumbled the ball. 2nd year LB Shalon Hemphill scooped up the fumble and took it 68 yards to paydirt to give Washington a 14-7 lead early in the 1st quarter.

Turnovers and 3 and outs led to Washington's offense barely seeing the field in the first half. The 49ers fought their way back as Kaepernick cut up the defense through the air connecting with Baldwin and Sanders through the air for two scores and Lattimore chipped in a 1 yd TD plunge to give the 49ers a 28-14 lead. After Alfred Morris failed to pick up a first down on 2nd down a great defensive stop on 3rd and inches had all the momentum going San Francisco's way. A timely turnover led to Washington finally putting a drive together capped by a 21 yard TD reception from RG3 to Jordy Nelson down the sideline with 1:30 left in the 1st half.

The Skins got the ball to start the 2nd half down 21-28. RG3 and Alfred Morris led a textbook drive downfield and Morris got the score on a 15 yard run that was perfectly blocked. With things all knotted up Kaepernick made a fatal mistake when he tossed one to the corner zone where Ras-I-Dowling was lurking and he picked it off and ran it back 19 yards for a TD.

After another turnover Washington had a shot to get a two score 10 point lead but Justin Tucker read the wind wrong and clanked a long FG attempt off the left upright. Kaep was struggling but wouldn't go down without a fight. Crabtree got deep on the defense twice for a 56 yd TD and a 35 yd TD to give the 9ers back the lead 42-35.

Washington's coaching staff could see the game getting away from them but RG3 put the team on his back and after getting flushed out of the pocket in the redzone managed to find Jordy Nelson in the back corner of the endzone. Nelson somehow miraculously got his toes in bound on the play and surprisingly there was no booth review on the play. The game was tied up 42-42 with still a lot of game left in the 4th quarter. Justin Tucker added a short 22 yard FG to put the Skins up 45-42. The 49ers weren't remotely out of it but Kaepernick tried another shot down the sideline between the flat corner and the safety but DHall was all over it and go underneath the throw and secured in the INT.

Alfred Morris handled most of the workload on the next drive as the Skins tried to run out the clock. An unlucky drop on 3rd down led to a 4th and 2 with around 3 minutes left in the game. Washington's coaching staff decided to go for it and try to put the game away. They called a QB option play but the 49ers defense was stacked to the playside. RG3 checked out of the play to a pass play and under immense blitz pressure he threw up a prayer and Eric Decker managed to get under the ball and make a tough catch while getting hit to give the Skins the 1st down in scoring position. The Skins managed to get down to the 7 yard line but opted to play it safe on a 4th and 2. They ran the clock down to :20 seconds and kicked the 24 yd FG to go up 6.

Kaepernick tried two deep heaves at the end of the game but was picked off by David Amerson on the second one which ended the game.

Washington will either face the Arizona Cardinals at home next week or go into The Link to face the division rival Eagles for the third time this season.

TEXANS DOWN PATRIOTS IN AFC CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH

In the grudge match from last seasons' AFC Championship the Texans squared off against the Patriots this time with new weapons on each side of the ball for each team. No Tom Brady, insert Terrelle Pryor the dual threat QB who picked up right where Tom left off; bonding instantly with Gronk this was the Texans #1 focus. Limiting this connection may have changed the look for the Patriots as Pryor and Gronk only connected twice for 17 yards.
Things didn't start off so well for the Texans; losing the coin toss the Pats elected to kick. On the ensuing kick LaMichael James was hit resulting in fumble. The Texans' D held tough and forced the Pats to only take 3.
The Texans answered driving down the field to get a FG of their own. On the next series Pryor hooked up with WR Bryce on a quick hitch who then ripped off a big play and scored off pure speed. Ironic enough the Texans/Hartline scored on a similar play spinning through traffic before turning on the jets.
The Texans stalled the Pats but turned the ball right back over on a Jake Locker interception; this lead to another Pats FG. A very slow start for the Texans and missed opportunities to cash in on fumbles by the Pats and dropped interceptions, the game looked to be a gritty one for the Texans.

Even with the slow start Arian Foster was averaging a little over 5 yards a carry but with limited touches through late second quarter coach Lewis realized his team needed to get back to the basics and HOU football.. Foster/Brown/James went to work in the second half of the game as did the big hosses' up front clearing lanes and making room for all the backs. On the other side of the ball the texans began to frustrate Pryor with the blanket coverage on Gronk. With Gronk tied up the Texans secondary was able to take the ball twice in key instances to seal the game up. After forcing some late turnovers the game turned into a ground & pound game plan eating clock and taking the points given.

    Players of the Game :

    Arian Foster : 25 carries 145 yards 3 touchdowns

    Michael Huff : 6 tackles / 1 interception

The Eagles faced a familiar foe in the NFC Championship game. This game would be the 6th time in the last two years that these teams faced off, with the Redskins winning 4 out the last 5 games including last year in the playoffs when the ended the Eagles season. This Eagles came into this game very confident after pounding the Cardinals last week 30-7, and it showed early.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard first after the first Skins drive ended when DJ Williams picked off RG3 on his first pass attempt around midfield. Philly would make the most of the turnover and drove to the 1 yard line where McCoy would score from 1 yard out. The Eagles would add to their lead early in the 2nd quarter when their drive stalled inside the 5 yard line and they settled for a very short FG. The Redskins would come right back and get a short FG of their own cutting the Eagles lead to 10-3. Philly would answer back with a nice drive that ended in another short TD by McCoy giving the Eagles a commanding 17-3 lead. The Skins would answer right back with a drive with alot of runs right down the throat of the Eagles defense and the drive ended with a 15 yard TD by Alfred Morris. With a little over a minute left in the half Philly would try to put some more points on the board before the half ended. They were on their way to doing that when Foles hit TE Javares Gatewood for a 22 yard pass inside the Skins 15 yard line but a big hit caused a fumble after the catch which Washington would recover. They would kneel the ball to end the half with the score 17-10 Eagles.

Philadelphia would receive the 2nd half kickoff and march down the field but they would have to settle for another FG, this time from 43 yards out. Washington would fumble the ball back to Philly on the ensuing kickoff and The Eagles would not waste the great field position and find the endzone when Foles found DeSean Jackson across the middle for an 8 yard TD giving the Eagles a big 27-10 lead going into the 4th quarter. The Skins tried to get back in this game but RG3 threw a pick in the endzone on 3rd and long. The Eagles then drove down the field on all runs, eating up most of the 4th quarter, and capped it off with another LeSean McCoy TD, his 3rd of the day making the score 34-10. RG3 would throw another pick and the Eagles would run out the rest of the clock.

Matrix Monkey Good game man. I got all the breaks in this game with the turnovers. You should have had a couple picks for sure which would have obviously changed this game.

    TMFL SUPER BOWL
Both these teams were #1 seeds and both rolled into the Super Bowl with big wins in their championship games. The Texans won an AFC Championship game rematch over the Patriots 44-24 and the Eagles finally overcame their Rivals the Redskins 34-10.

The Eagles won the toss and choose to kick to start. It would be a short drive for the Texans as Justin Houston would show why he got all that money in the offseason. Houston would get to Jake Locker for a sack on the 3rd play of the game and on the very next play he would drop into coverage get an interception. That early turnover gave the Eagles alot of confidence. Once the Eagles got the ball they drove deep into Texans territory and on 3rd and goal LeSean McCoy would cap off the drive with a 2 yard TD run. The Texans next drive would get them into Eagles territory but a Fletcher Cox sack would put them just out of field goal range and they would have to punt.

The Texans would force and Eagles punt to start the second quarter off. A few plays later they found the endzone on a HB screen to LaMichael James from 66 yards out. Houston would get the ball right back on an interception by former Eagle Michael Huff. The Texans were driving down the field on their way to taking the lead but Patrick Chung laid a big hit on Deandre Hopkins and forced a fumble which was recovered by the Eagles. Neither team did much until the end of the half when the Texans barely got into field goal range with 1 second left in the half and Bullock would bang a 60 yard FG, the longest FG in Super Bowl history and the Texans would take a 10-7 lead into the half.

The Eagles started the 2nd half with a bang, on the 2nd play of the half McCoy would get loose and break off a 45 yard run right up the gut. A few plays later McCoy would score again this time from 16 yards out giving the Eagles a 14-10 lead. The Eagles would get the ball right back when Locker tried to force a pass that was picked off by DJ Williams at the 20 yard line. A few plays later Nick Foles would find Danny Amendola in the middle of the endzone for a 7 yard TD on 3rd and goal. The Next Texans drive would be another short one and on 3rd and 17 Locker tried to go deep but was picked off by Patrick Chung around midfield. The Eagles came right back and scored another McCoy TD giving the Eagles a big 28-10 lead. Before the 3rd quarter would end Locker would throw yet another interception, this time picked off by Mychal Kendricks.

The 4th quarter started with the Eagles running it down the Texans throat and this time Bryce Brown would get into the endzone with a 4 yard TD. The Texans kept fighting and drove down the field into the redzone for the first time this game but Locker would throw yet another pick, his 6th of the game, to Kendricks who took it back 85 yards for a TD making the score 42-10. The Texans would add a late TD making the final score 42-17 and giving the Eagles their first Super Bowl win in the history of the Eagles.

LB Mychal Kendricks would be named Super Bowl MVP with 5 Tackles, 2 Interceptions and 1 TD. But the real MVP was LeSean McCoy who had 178 yards on 22 carries and 3 TD.

Sgt Jowers Good game man. My defense played out of its mind for most of this game and I got some breaks with all the turnovers. Good luck going forward man.

Good game , those fumbles hurt changed game more than the interceptions. Actually lead to the reason of more passing. Can't believe sorry ass Trent Cole was beasting my LT and Houston earned his money as well.
