Fixed it for you. Online Dynasty/Franchise no longer exists. Everything is under the Connected Careers umbrella. Further, Connected Careers has sliders.
The gameplay feels very solid. I haven't noticed any magnet tackles or catches yet. The infinity engine is a massive improvement in gameplay and graphics. The run game feels like it has been improved significantly - you'll see the RB squeeze through the holes (instead of getting sucked into a tackles like in years past) and the O-linemen get their blocks. However, sometimes the defender will just run into the ball carrier (like they didn't see each other) and they'll both just fall down... happens more often than I would like. Sometimes the defensive AI can be a little funny on the run game however. Sometimes the LB or SS will hit the hole perfectly as the RB receives the hand off - but they will stop and turn away from the RB. Playing on all madden sometimes the game decides that the computer's ball carrier will break every single tackle - not one or two, but three or four in a row (no matter the player). The passing game seems to be much improved. The new passing control gives you a lot more flexibility than in previous years in terms of where you want to lead your receiver. I have noticed a couple of times that if the defender's back is turned to the ball they will not make a play on it (can't be certain because there is no instant replay in the pause menu). If the receiver is hit as they catch the ball they will drop the ball more often. The DBs line up better in both man and zone coverage. The DEs play the scramble much better - making it more difficult to run around them. My DBs can't seem to catch an interception at all. And sometimes your WRs as a group will go through spells of dropping 3 or 4 wide open passes in a row. Some other cool stuff: Pile ups can happen (i.e. the ball carrier can't get up until everyone gets off him) Players trip and fall over each other There appears to be some very cool new plays (or at least plays I've never noticed) The opposing QB has gotten a lot smarter in terms of avoiding pressure They brought the turbo button back For my Redskins fans: RG3 is a monster. The zone running plays are finally useable (because of improved blocking AI). We can get good pressure on the QB with Orakpo and Kerrigan without having to manually control them.
Basically still online franchise, you get 32 people to grab a team and you play as if it was a online franchise
That's not a problem around here, but I see your point. As long as the common goal is a realistic experience, I think the group can come to a consensus.
http://www.twitch.tv/crbuke Boom goes the Dynamite...better than all this jibber jabber, give me something to see and then lets talk!
Played the demo and I'm pretty impressed. I actually liked that they made a lot of things similar to NCAA so going from one game to the other doesn't totally throw you off. Positives -the infinity engine was really nice. Really made the gameplay fresh and realistic -all the changes to the passing game like in NCAA. -momentum seems to matter more. -really liked the presentation -how in dept the demo is. Dept charts, speed adjustments, slider adjustment. Really good demo. -even if they made no more adjustments from the demo to the retail version it would still be a good game. Negatives -infinity engine could use a little tuning. Saw a few weird limb bends. Some would have caused major injuries. Lol -wish it was the retail game ha ha! Didn't see very much bad
Yeah i have that's all I play Madden for. Besides the draft process how much different is the actually Online Franchise to CCM(With everyone picking a team as the coach)?
Very different. You have: Sliders Free Agency Contracts Scouting Autopilot controls Progression Practice Do I need to continue?
I know there's player contracts, salary caps, twitter, draft process but I don't believe that changes the whole experience from Online Franchise to CCM.
you need to read more.. you have a whole new progression system that you control. There is an RPG element related to earning and utilizing XP to improve your players and shape the direction of your franchise. Seriously.. it's not the same, I've played it. It bears no resemblance to the old franchise mode.
Too many double negatives in that sentence for me to comprehend. There are now 10 posts with you stating your opinion of the demo, we've gotten your impression, carry on elsewhere please.
Yeah i know about all that, I just didn't fully elaborate. Will see though the game to me is just over hyped. Even know this game will be better than Madden 12
Just played my 2nd game on all-madden and won 6-3 This may be because its a demo but the receivers are dropping wide open passes on all madden. all pro seemed to be fine. Still love what im seeing
see that's just the hater in you talking. How do you know if it's overhyped or not.. you just have not like the last few versions and are letting that cloud your ability to embrace a new teams effort. stop being a hater and judge it on it's own merits.
