nobody is trying to run you off, but you made a statement that was pretty ridiculous. CCM is nothing like old Franchise mode...we have listed out a litany of features that make it unique, yet you just keep saying the same thing over and over... making yourself look pretty narrow minded.
I wouldn't even bother with sliders in the demo. a) there's no guarantee the real game is going to play exactly the same, so any sliders are likely to get scrapped anyway. b) most leagues are going to be HvH the whole way through - so sliders that work well against the computer have no value. c) you only have four teams to play with - hardly a good sampling of the talent across the NFL.
I've played through multiple seasons of 12 and 14 and they are like night and day. Connected careers is such a deep mode that it will confuse a lot of people.
My last comment on it because its just causing problems. You all named plenty of valid points enough for me to consider that its more different once i put it all in perspective. I'm not a hater on Madden i buy it every year and play it for about 9 to 10 months year round. I believe the last couple years 09,10,11 they slacked and the game this year is over hyped.
... I'd say they've slacked this entire generation of Madden games. IMO the last version worth a shit was on the PS2 and PC. But I have a feeling this year is the exception.
That's not what I'm saying. Sliders that are good against the computer won't necessarily (and I'd say almost certainly won't) be good against another human. It's not like NCAA where you have to find a balance of HvH and HvC sliders so testing at this stage would at least have some value.
Alright, I finally got my hands on the demo this morning. I want to start out by saying I got my ass kicked on all madden. To me, the CPU plays harder than year's past. Overall the game is great, it plays fluid and the players don't have that "floating" feel. The running game is fun if you can find the holes in the offensive line, and if you have the right back for the right play. I found that there won't be much LB running through the gap because one false step and the LBer gets off balance. The RTP engine has put this game far and beyond anything I have ever played football wise on a console. Positives: Tackling seems more realistic Passing is much better, even better and more fun than NCAA Sliders are going to be huge Nantz and Simms talk nonstop, which adds something to the game Momentum seemed to really be dynamic (i'm assuming the Dynamic Player is still in the game) Negatives: Weird arm bends...very minor though New York is on the damn demo...
J-O-B-S, JOBS JOBS JOBS!! They're out there people, this demo won't get you one though! Just messin'. I'm just bitter I'm stuck at work and can't play it yet!
If god only they gave any other announcer a shot other than Simms. That is the only guys voice that drives me nuts in the NFL media.
Just scanned through the first 8 pages of the OS impressions thread...if you want critical opinions, that is the place to get it....so far, I have seen all but love for this demo. Thank you EA and to the GCs who have put in the work. Much appreciated.
Played my second game. This time the wash Seattle game. I'm more impressed than before. Can't wait for the game to get here!
