I hear you. I might have to reevaluate my QB situation after seeing those numbers.

The most pressing question the team will have to deal with, who will start at quarterback. Owner Gabe Chandler said he will leave the decision up to second year Coach Gus Bradley. " I don't want to intervene in depth chart decisions. I want to run the team as an owner and put butts in the stands. Now, I will make suggestions, but I will in no way step on any toe ", he said in an quick interview. With the new Madden season coming around the corner and player ratings have been revealed, it would hard to believe that Bortles will not be the starter when week 1 comes around. Chad Henne better be ready or he could be yanked faster than a bad singer at the Apollo.

The team announced today that Blake Bortles will be the starter Day 1. Like that is much of a surprise.

    Texans Land Mallett
    [IMG]

The Texans and Pats have agreed to terms for Ryan Mallett. After a poor 1st week by all QBs of the Texans they have seemed to find their starter in Mallett. The Pats received a 4th rd pick for this years draft. Mallett figures to start week 2 in Oakland. To make space on the 53 man roster they release Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Jaguars lose a tough this week against the Indianapolis Colts. The offense looked out of sync in the second half with stalled drive after stalled drive. Gus Bradley said that they work on better offensive play selection to get them in better situations. The defensive coordinator Bob Babich took the blame for the allowing the Colts to get in FG position to tie the game late in the game. He said it was his call to change up what was working and go conservative in hopes that time would run out. He said he will not make that same mistake again. The team travels to San Diego next week in hopes of getting that offense clicking again. In other news, word on the street says that GM David Caldwell is looking for a new FB to lead the rushing attack. Stay tuned for more information as this story develops.

After a strong showing against Philly, Washington and Indy, the Jags fall on their face against San Diego. The game was pretty close then the wheels fell off and the game was over. The OC installed some new wrinkles and made some changes to the teams playbook. That seemed to work against the offense more than it helped. He said he will go back to the drawing board and make the necessary changes to get the team and its young QB back on track. "We can't keep putting the game in defense's hands without any help from the offense. We have to make it easy for the defense to their thing out there". The Jags face the Steelers at home in Week 5. They will need to get things back in order or this is going to be a long season.

Coach Bradley made a shocking move today by announcing that Chad Henne will start in next weeks game against the Colts. Bortles is have a rough outing this year and will need to sit on the bench to collect himself, Bradley said in a press conference. The Jags went to the veteran signal caller in the Saints game and he was able to led the team to victory.

The team also gave Denard Robinson more touches and he didn't disappoint. With Robinson having more an impact in the gameplan, it would seen that Toby's days are numbered in Jacksonville. That assumption would be correct as the Dave Caldwell announced via Twitter that the will part ways with the powerback. The move will save the team 3.5 million in CAP. Storm Johnson will finally get on the field to prove that he can carry the load in a relief capacity

After a disappointing second season in HK, the Jags decided to make some roster moves. Caldwell said he doesn't want to be a big player in FA, but just get a couple of stopgap guys to fill roster spots. Caldwell pretty let everyone that was on the FA go except for Scobee, Anger a couple of depth guys on offense. The one key FA he said he had to get was Branch at RE. Branch made some nice plays along side Bryant who retired at the end of the season. He will looked upon to keep the pressure on the opposing QBs. Right now the roster had a couple of vacant spots at FS, FB, and LE. LE was filled by the acquisition of Robert Ayers. Caldwell hopes to have some spots filled by the end of the FA period. Even though there are some roster spots that will need immediate filling, he said he will make most of his moves in the draft. He is said to have his eye on a few guys he looking to start right away if he can land them. Among other changes, Denard Robinson has been moved from HB to WR to add more speed to the corps there. Don't be shocked if some of those guys are on the bubble if Caldwell is able to make the moves he want to make in the draft. The Jags will be going to a new offensive playbook this year. They looked like a team without any real explosive plays and could not get anything really going in the redzone except kick field goals. Expect them to be a little more aggressive on offense.

Going to have a lot of work to do on Shoelace moving him out there. Good luck with the transformation though.

The Jags are off to another slow start this year, with an 1-3 record so far. The team has decided to from their customary defense to shake things up on the defensive side. The Jags will be transitioning to a 34 defense during the season. The coaching staff knows this change won't be easy, but feel it is necessary to lite a spark on an under performing team. The transition yielded a few casualties. DE Chris Smith was let go. Also, defensive leader Paul Posluszny was let go as well. His contract as well his being the slower of all the LBrs didn't help him keep his spot o on the roster. McClellan and Watson will be moved to the inside while other will be learning new spots. Bradley says he expects the players to compete just as hard while learning. The offense will look the Storm Johnson in the running game as the rookie Telvin Dansby has had problems holding on the ball. There will be instances where he will still have an impact, but Johnson will get the majority of the carries.

Stafford The New Leader At QB In H-Town

    10430441_10203396411978827_7281953017739360248_n.jpg

After a poor game by all QBs vs Cleveland Houston was quick to make moves. In a days time the texans went out an acquire Matthew Stafford for a 2nd rd pick in this years draft. After this move the Texans announced that they also released Alex Smith. We will have to see if Safford can lead them to a championship.

In case you have been living under a rock, 3 pick of the draft 2nd year QB has been replaced by 5th round QB Jon Belton. Since Belton has been the starter he has half the TDs in 2 game than Blake has. The important thing is that he is putting balls on point. Something Bortles hasn't done since year 1. Coach Bradley believes that Blake will get his mojo back, until then, Belton will be the man under center. The one how is really benefiting from Belton's play is 1st year WR Denard Robinson. He was all but forgotten about until Belton took over. He has become a matchup nightmare so far and the upside is through the roof. He makes it very easy to take advantage of the defense when they try to come out in base defenses in our 3WR sets. We can just find Denard and find a way to get him involved because he will be going against a LB or Safety. Easy pickings. The run game, is just terrible at this point. No better way to say it. Thankfully, the passing game can make up for some of the short comings now. On a sad note, newly reinserted FS Will Blackmon will be lost for 4 weeks due to injury. He came in and right away made things difficult for opposing passers snatching 2 ints. He made it a little easy to come out in some different looks with his ability to cover in man or zone. The Jags will continue to play hard until season's end. The hope is to be able to finish the season at .500 or better. They have tough road ahead.
