Again, you choose to label it crying, I don't and the world continues to turn.

No, I don't currently play in a Madden CCM. Bought the game on release, tried different ways of getting immersed in it but couldn't for various reasons. Ended up trading M13 in, had hopes of picking it back up to make another attempt at CCM but there was an unfortunate incident of confusion between some other gamers, Dewiel, Emmdotfrisk and I in relation to a true coach mode being patched, which afterwards I just gave up on Madden for this year.

I think that may be the primary problem. Put the focus on community and I think there will be a better understanding; particularly within the TSO community. We aren't trying to better ourselves as individuals, but rather, we are working toward improvements that will better the entire Madden community as a whole.

I'm very confused by this contradictory statement. It's like the addict saying they want to quit the smack, but they still do it. Not saying you are an addict whatsoever, but rather, just an analogy of sorts.

You're voicing a disposition which calls for a specific action on multiple accounts. Hence the label.

The majority of this post went over my head but everything is not for me to understand. I think I have done enough posting of my POV on this topic so unless there is a specific issue someone here at TSO has with me about my actions here, I am moving on from this.

I have oft wondered why Madden and NCAA don't offer a passing system with accuracy determined similar to how basketball games, NBA2k at the moment, does for jump shots. Imo, it's the same premise of the in-game player targeting a goal, except in football it's in relation to a usually moving target.

This basics of it is, in NBA2k13 there are ratings for accuracy while the "sweet spot" of the release determines how close to that player's max accuracy or rating, the User has on any given shot. Now translate that over to football for targeting receivers, including having the signature throwing motions for each QB, varying their "sweet spot" like the basketball games does with signature shot motions.

This also is a good way to implement the same system basketball games use to allow defensive pressure, not just direct contact, to effect the accuracy of shots, into the passing game. That way less AWR/composed QBs can have their accuracy effected by defenders bearing down on them and collapsing the pocket, without them having to actually make contact, so defensive pressure matters, not just sacks. These two elements would add a clear distinction between QBs based on their AWR and accuracy ratings, that I find currently lacking in the game. Putting pressure on a low AWR QB through blitzes would have an actually tangible effect even when not resulting in a sack and there would be a familiarity with using one QB more than another. For example,aA User that has played their starter all year and suddenly loses them to injury or even free agency would actual need to adjust to Usering a new QB.

I have asked a few times about EA football games implementing receivers that can "become the defender" to break up potential INTs. I am not quoting anyone but the gist of what I remember being told is that, something like this would likely be difficult to implement. Well just so happens I was on Youttube tonight looking for something else concerning APF2K8 and I stumbled on this video. (I snipped it down for this part)

I am not posting this to bash Madden but in hopes that it can be forwarded to someone at Tiburon. All that appears to me to happen in this video, that doesn't currently happen in Madden, is the receiver had a brief period before the defender could secure the INT, which allowed him to trigger a tackle animation, which broke up the catch/INT. Already in Madden, the receivers will attempt to tackle the defender after making an INT, so it seems to me they just need to implement that brief "lapse" before a defender can secure the ball, allowing the opportunity for a receiver to break it up.

There are plays in Madden where the defender is bobbling the ball, trying to make an INT, while the receiver stands there and watches, waiting until the ball is INT before "becoming the defender". I think that animation or play is ok for low AWR receivers but players with any decent/average AWR should be "becoming the defender" the moment a defender touches a pass/ball.

So maybe that's an even better defensive animation key/trigger that should be implemented in Madden, the moment a defender touches a pass, at least the intended receiver or maybe even all offensive players within a certain parameter of the ball, become defenders, to try to break up or catch/INT the ball themselves.
