I was playing a MUT game and it went to overtime. I called a time out with 3 seconds left and kicked a field goal as time expired. The game proceeded to start a new OT quarter instead of ending the game as time expired. Just wanted to point this out as a potential flaw in the game that we should know about.
Hmmm, maybe Im wrong but in OT a game cant end on a FG. It has to be a TD or the other team gets a chance to score a TD or a FG to tie and continue.
Zo is correct. If it the first possession of OT and you get a FG, the other team gets a possession. I believe it's supposed to be untimed for the first 2 possessions.
From the NFL Overtime rules: A.R. 16.6 FIELD GOAL ON FIRST POSSESSION Team A kicks a field goal on the opening possession of overtime. Ruling: Three points for Team A, but the game is not over. Team A must kick off to Team B. If Team B scores a touchdown or does not score the game is over. If Team B scores a field goal the game continues under sudden death.
So you had the ball first and took up the whole time on the first drive?? As I understand it if the team that receives the ball at the start of OT gets a FG the other team gets a chance to get a FG or a TD as well. But after the first drive if nobody scores the next team to score wins.. Am I missing something?
So his game should of been over with his field goal at the end of the overtime?? Why would it go to another OT? Unless it was the first possession of the OT
So he wasted the whole overtime on the first drive?? lol. 6 or 7 min OT period wasted in one possession...
I honestly have never seen it or done it. I don't have the patience for it lol. But if that is what he did then it makes sense. I would like ncsu12ddr to clarify
Be prepared to see it from some owners in this league. I've been known to put together a good 5 min drive here and there, and that isn't running clock to 0 either. I like a good West Coast offense.
I would like to think I am good enough on defense to prevent that from happening lol. A lot of times I say to myself I am going to waste as much time as possible and run the ball and do short passes and work the game but my impatience comes in and I can't do it!!
Be prepared to lose in this league. On any given day, anyone will beat you regardless of team, record, or past history. It will be a lot of fun battling and we will all have some great learning experiences.
Well you're in the same division as Jim. Good luck. He can put on 6 or 7 minute drive together without a doubt.
, The funniest shit Ive read in a while. I think you have just made yourself THE Q target lmao... Like Doug says, nobody in this league is safe from anything, nobody. You can run undefeated all season and come to loose in the playoffs to the worst record around.
These gentlemen speak the truth. Not to say there is anything wrong with confidence, just don't get too cocky. I had a run with the Panthers last year where I went 15-1 and thought I was a lock for the Super Bowl. Got to the playoffs and went one and done. Now just having a record like 15-1 is EXTREMELY rare with our group; but even with that there are no guarantees. We pride ourselves on being the embodiment of "Any Given Sunday". Don't let anyone's talk or record in this league fool you; each of these guys is capable of winning any game.
