The Madden team pushed a new update for Madden 15 today. Here are the notes, and an example of the new play call interface. Still curious to why the X1 patch was 3 gigs.. First game post patch and my D wasn't auto picked one time so that's a plus. QB accuracy ... I couldn't tell if this was effected in the online cfm.
It should effect online CFM. As for the patch size...from what I'm told the difference in size was due to differences in the consoles, not that they pushed out anything "extra" to the Xbox One.
The two things I don't like about the slim option for playcalling is that you can't see your players fatigue levels or make right stick subs.
