this looks so freaking fun, lol.... (hat tip Shaun Mason)
I'm stoked about Madden this year. Gonna be a better game than NCAA I think
I'll be honest, I think NCAA is pretty darn good.
Aside from buggy servers, the few complaints (easy curl routes, easy pass game, etc) seem to be unsubstantiated imo. You can defend curl routes, but when you do you open up yourself to other routes. And passing might be easier, but not when your'e getting blitzed and defended well. This is called realistic. I think its a pretty sweet balance of risk/reward, push/pull, give/take that models real life relatively well and with the additions of pretty awesome read-option game and ALL the routes being effective when used correctly, I'm sold.
My three beefs: slots/tight end play is still defended poorly/unrealistically, the game is a little easy overall (not just passing) and safety play is bad. If they can shore up safety play through patches this game will be phenomenal.
For all you slot/tight-end cheezers I will say this: I am having SO much stinking fun with my outside receivers this year. I feel like every play is a battle and the one-on-one or one-on-zone is exciting.
Yes definitly an upgrade from last years game. Even with UMass.
