I asked for a Flip and got a Vivitar something or other. I'll be returning that, LOL. My wife tries so hard, but doesn't listen.:) Anyway, she did get me a 4 GB SDHC card to go in it, which I promptly put in the kids new Wii.:)

I like to give her a hard time about her poor gift giving abilities.:)

Anyway, the kids had a great time, my step kids are older so it is kind of run of the mill for them, but it was really special for my two year old daughter. This was really the first Christmas where she understood what was going on. It was pretty magical for me to see her face be so surprised by "Santa".

I thought my kids were the only ones in America without one. I asked for a Kinect, but no dice.:)

FIFA 11 is a great game. The online pro clubs mode has to rival online dynasty as one of the best gaming modes out right now. The physics is pretty spot on and the gameplay is pretty balanced.

I received much more practical gifts:

    - 6.5 HP Shop Vac with detachable blower - Hell yes, need this bad boy for sure. The current shop vac I have is weak and the attachments are almost unusable.

    - 19.2 Volt Craftsmen power tools set (drill, saw, light, etc) - Will get plenty of use out of this. My current drill is only 12 volts and this one has the new Lithium batteries.

    - Flat top grill adapter - Who doesn't want to instantly convert their grated grill into a personal hibachi?

    - New desk chair - My ass is already firmly planted in this high-back, black leather bad boy. It vibrates...

    - Dutch oven - No, not what OM used to do to his roomates in college. This one is cast iron.

    - The Other Guys on blu ray - "Shake your dicks, this pissing contest is over!"

    - Other random things I got from white elephant type of functions (gift cards, ratcheting wrench set, picture frames, casserole dishes, etc)

All-in-all, I would have to say that it was a pretty good x-mas.

I want a basement too. It's free living space that you already own.

Unfortunately if you were to dig 6-8 feet under ground in Texas you are likely to hit water. Or oil.

Ya, I think I would enjoy a basement too. Turn it into the gameroom/man cave/hangout spot. As it is now, I am fortunate to have a huge space upstairs that serves as a game room, but it is all open. Basement much more secluded and less noisy distractions.

We keep looking at new houses, but one of my requirements if I am going to pay more money for a house is that it has a man cave.

If I had a basement, my house would be a boat.

That's what I keep telling my wife. Everytime we hit a house with a basement, she's like..."Ohhh a kids playroom!". I remind her they have rooms to play in, I need a man cave.
