Starting off this game looked like disaster waiting to happen for the Spartans. 1st possession the run gets stuffed, Maxwell throws and INT and Indiana ends up 3-0 before you could blink. Then Sparty looked to wake up when Maxwell hooked up with Mumphrey on a TD pass to give them a 7-0 lead... but before you knew it Indiana struck back with a TD of there own for a 10-0 lead. After another bad series Indiana got the ball back but Fr safety Williamson got an interception and Coach Fitted decided to beat this team he needed to do a little ground and pound! And that he did with Langford getting 122 yds off 22 carries and a TD as well as Caper chipping in with 40 yds on the ground and Bell running 1 in on the ground. But the biggest story was QB Andrew Maxwell getting knocked out of the game right before the 1st half ended with a Concussion and backup FR qb Connor Cook coming in and throwing a TD Hailmary pass for his first collegiate TD. He played extremely poised and finished the game 7-9 for 135 yds and 2 TD! Tony Lippett kept his production up with 2 catches for 60 yds and a TD and Mumphrey had 5 catches for 70 yds and a TD! Defensively Max Bullough had 9 tkls and a sack and Johnny Adams came up with a huge Int which really helped put the Hoosiers away!
