East Lansing, Michigan | Michigan State dominated the first half, seeming to move the ball at will. A well balanced attack and solid Defense gave them the win. Despite 4 turnovers by the offense, they managed to hold Boise State's second half surge off. Key 4th down goal line stances and forcing field goals proved to be the difference.

Junior Halfback Le'Veon Bell had a solid showing rushing 21 times for 86 yards, which helped the Spartans control the pace of the game and dominate the TOP. Redshirt Junior Andrew Maxwell damn near threw the game away literally, tossing 3 picks, but added 4 TD Passes going 15/28 for 367 yards. Offensive player of the game was Keith Mumphery, who showcased his talents, torching the Broncos Defense for 129 yards and 2 TD catches. On Defense, William Gholston was a manchild, and had his way with the Left Tackle, reaching the QB for 3 sacks. Coach CT was impressed with the resolve that the Spartans showed in the face of adversity. With the win over #21 ranked Boise State, the #12 Spartans should move up slightly in the Coaches poll. Great start to the 2012-2013 season.
