    Michigan's defense

On paper they look really, really good.

    Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
    LE 99 87
    DT 99 66
    DT 93 80
    RE 96 87
    LOLB 90 89
    MLB 86 81
    ROLB 96 88
    CB 96 92
    CB 95 91
    NB 90 89
    FS 95 91
    SS 94 88

But, as we all know, on paper and on the field are two different animals. Here's a sample of what #6 Texas managed to do against my defense.
    0 points
    5 1st downs
    73 yds tot. offense
    -3 yards on 17 carries
    76 passing yards
    0/8 3rd down conversions
    0/2 4th down conversions
2 TOs (but 4 total fumbles)

I don't think I even care about my offense this year. My D is where it's at! The only bad thing about it (which I learned from last year) is that I won't have any guys putting up big numbers and winning awards or making all conference/american teams. It's kinda hard to tally tackles, sacks, and INTs when you're only on the field 3 plays at a time. :thingnana:

Well, at least I didn't have to play against this. Your secondary isn't TOO fast though. ;)

There is no doubt that you would trade dominant defense play in, play out, for not winning awards. After all, there is only one stat -- total wins.

Glad I don't have to play you until late in the season this year. I've been in an offensive slump lately. That is a crazy good D.

I actually really, really, really wish that we did play early. Everyone knows that you're a guaranteed loss for me and everyone also knows (and Basis showed last season) that you can overcome a loss early in the season and still have a shot at a title. Losing to you late in the season is going to kill any shot I might've had.
